The cost is reflected in it taking big chunks out of blocks of steel - it's not a Sherline. The cost will be with EU taxes on it. I wouldn't buy it, but I can imagine there are many people who would to save on the space of having three different (gigantic) floor standers. Jewelery shops / prototyping / training. It has a tray, so coolant is doable. Steel / brass don't NEED liquid coolant because they don't refuse; alu / stainless / ti does. 60k for the CNC IS too much, Geckos are about $100-150?
Only $17,000USD! OR $60,000 for the CNC version with 4 axis & ATC..... What is it with germans and their over priced machines? They might be nice, but come on...
@floringguy golmatic is in germany. I'm guessing they are quite a small and specialized company, making these in germany and for specific needs. as opposed to fiddling around at home once in a blue moon
The way I was taught to machine materials was from left to right in this kind of process demonstrated in this video. Well,if the tool does not brake then why do it the right way I think lol...no coolant either.
prise?

You can do climb milling if you have zero backlash on the leadscrew.
Is there anything this machine can't do. It's a nice bit of kit.
