@platinum014 he was talking about torque buddy. if it has 547hp and 610 ft lbs, this would be at ~4010rpm, while if you had a civic that also had 547 hp, using this formula you would discover that the civic engine DOES have more torque at lower rpms. however, if you lowered the corvette engines rpms, it would be the same. of course the formula is for "perfect conditions", not taking into account the rest of the car, or any other forces acting on the car.

@p10ghost Yeah,but its still a civic with a corvette engine.Nothing cant change that.And i think,that each car should stick with its own engine.Swapping the engine means,that the car originally was crap.

@Henzzman It may be slow and crap stock, but add some internals and boost and you have a fast civic. I think the guy who built this car didn't put a Corvette engine in it just so he could have a fast car. He wanted something unique and something that would cause a lot of questions of "why?" lol

@Henzzman dude, im actually pretty sure that this IS a corvette, with a civic body. i could be wrong saying that, but thats how its been done in the past. so im 99% sure your saying that the corvette motor was crap and the civic motor was better.

@p10ghost Well,in that case,you got me completely wrong.I think,that the corvette motor is 100x better than some v-tec shit,but i just dont like seeing such a good muscular engine in a civic,which is a ricer,not muscle.

@Henzzman Sounds like someone knows nothing about hot rodding history, and where it came from! Look at your old 20s, 30s' 40's and 50's hot rods, what where they? They where a combination of all makes of cars to make the vehicle fast as they could with what they had to work with! Guess you really are un american....
I def know you aren't a racer, racers give respect where respect is due regardless of if you like the guys car or not, its just the way it is

@ihateu1979 sounds like you need to stop bashing random people.i work as a car mechanic and i think i know something and yes i am an un american.because here in europe we already have got good enough cars that dont need any engine swaps or anything.i am happy with my daily driving car,which is a 1990 audi v8 quattro and thats about it.in a drag race it would lose,but where i live,in the winter,the civic would just be stuck.same could be said if there would be a tug of war,the audi would win.

@Henzzman And that has what to do with hot rodding? Nothing, BTW a WRX STI or a Mitsubishi EVO is a much better car than even new Quattro's. According to Consumer reports, German cars scored the lowest on reliability...

@ihateu1979 yet you seem to forget that they invented the car and all the engines.and those cars you named,cannot be called cars,as french cars are miserable,volkswagen has already got most of the car manufacturers of europe,so vw can already choose engines for its models from other manufacturers it owns,skodas peroduas and fiats can be counted as french cars.and mostly these cars get engine swaps from another europe car,there are rare occasions when some of them have gotten an american engine.

@Henzzman I could think of plenty cars in Europe that need and get engine swaps, such as the Smart Fortwo, countless Volkswagens, puegot's, renaults, opels, protons, skoda's, perodua's and fiats.

@Henzzman Pretty sure it can kill anything you and 90% of others can bring to the line. There's a point to the Civic body, some people get it and some people don't, just a matter of opinion and preference.

@Svenneke78 It can move and maybe even it can be fast,but i just dont like the idea of putting the engine from another car manufacturer to another car and by that giving the impression,that this car is now superfast and powerful and not pointing out the fact,that whats left of the original car,is its body and all the power comes from another carmakers powerplant.Its like putting ferrari engine on smart and saying to those,that think smart sucks,that its a very fast car and it would smoke others.

@Henzzman Ok, so I miss understood you. And now I agree with you. Only one problem: the big carmanufacturers do the same thing. E.g. the Opel/Vauxhall 1.9cdti 8v, 1.9cdti 16v, 1.3cdti 16v and 2.0cdti 16v are Fiat-engines.

@Svenneke78 Yes,but luckily not all.The new Audi R8 V10 uses the engine from lambo too,though its not all lambo engine,because Audi modified it.This direct transfer usually applies to small-time carmakers.Big-time carmakers could not afford that,so they usually modify the engine,if they take it from some other manufacturer.Another example,Audi's patented Quattro system was the first awd system for normal roadcars,though nowdays,a lot carmakers offer awd,which is based on Audi's system.
