  • Simple caramel sauce: One can sweetened condensed milk, large pot of boiling water; remove label and glue, and place in boiling water, reduce to simmer; simmer turning every so often, added water to keep level above can; let simmer for 2.5 hours, unless you want it darker; when time is up, turn off heat and walk away. Hours later when water is cold to the touch, remove can and open up, out will pour the sweetest, easiest 'caramel' you have ever tasted. Just do not attempt to open while hot
