I have stand up vacuums that do about the same thing or it screws them up..dont see a problem really...I pick up money and I dont want to go thru crap to get it back...all's good in my book
irobot has actually designed their Robots to prevent picking up large items which could potentially damage its self.... Thats a plus in my book considering I just paid £500 ($900) for a Vacuum.
ya know if ya really need a coin removal system for your floors you could get the shop vac model its meant to pick up hardware such as nuts and bolts coins shouldn't be to much of a bother for it
@alextilson I agree that they need a couple of years to be worth buying, but they don't make you lazy, cleaning manually makes you lazy, cause it's so boring that you don't even wanna exercise afterwards. These robotics frees people from boring jobs that does nothing but making your body sore.
Ok. so you never said so really, but you said "not sure why I got thumbed down for helping him out in a polite manner." Well, you sound like your accusing me of thumbing you down. I don't get how you didn't get my comment, you basically said. Wow, I could've been a dick but I wasn't. THATS what capable means. Btw, if you weren't saying I did it why say you got thumbed down anyway?
I think it would be cool if there was a magnet and so the coins could stick to it and then when you turn it over you can grab you change (if you want that is)
I wouldn't want any vacuum to deliberately pick up stuff like coins. Just like I wouldn't want it to suck up a screw or a ring.

so it pushes your money around on the floor... woo...

Is there a reason why it should suck up coins? If you drop a coin, pick it up. If you drop crumbs, dirt etc. THEN is the time to turn the thing on.

why would you need it to pick up large amounts of currency anyway?

I'm not sure I've ever been around a vacuum that wouldn't, at best, eventually pickup change after making a huge racket.

I agree. Its designed to pick up dirt... not larger items that may damage it. Thats a plus in my book.

This is probably an advantage, would you really want it sucking up change and mashing up the mechanisms?
