Beware, this video DOES NOT show you how to connect your computer to an LCD TV. It does, however, tell you about some websites to watch TV programming on.
Part 2 is equally misleading. How to connect your computer to an LCD TV... buy a Mac Mini... then connect it to the TV. Really? REALLY?! Thanks!... No information at all, just uselessness.
I Don't mean to rag, but I find this misleading. I do, however, hope the uploader is enjoying it because streaming content from computer to TV is awesome.
@sweatervestguy sorry what didn''t you understand? If you ever have connected a computer monitor to the back of a computer then you should understand how to connect a computer to a LCD TV (same process). A LCD TV is just a large computer monitor.
It doesn't matter if you have a Mac Mini or a Windows desktop computer. Both can be connected the same; connect PC monitor cable (VGA or HDMI) from computing device into the back of the LCD TV.
@cutedrdave cable and or Fiber optic Internet is the way to go; offers the speeds needed (6Mbps download and more). These type of options are prevalent here in the United States, unless you live in very remote areas. 3G or 4G I don't recommend. The latter is too slow, while all 4G services cap the amount of Internet data you can use. 4G is fast enough but would end up being costly.
Nice. So I got to see your dresser, your lcd tv and your gyration mouse, plus learned that the internet can be more fun from your couch or your bed. I was hoping only that Part 2 video would show the "How to" that was not in Part 1.

@paulrece123 yeah you still have to buy the TV and the mac mini (which is an apple computer but very small and compact). Apple TV is a different device where you connect to your TV and watch Netflix and the stuff you download in iTunes. You cant surf the net with it.
There are now legal precedents for viewers of sites containing pirated movies to be sued - there's a class action at the moment, 60,000 people are being sued for watching pirated content. Be careful what you watch; you don't know who is watching you! If you want to see free legal content go to ViewCave.com
No You Cannot Get Sued. Just Like When You Watch TV Online From Your Laptop The Only Difference Here Is That Your Watching It On The TV. So No You Don't Get Sued.
@hulkyou1234 no because theyre actually putting it on the internet themselves. Granted they dont give you every single show that has been on.
Only downfall is that if you are one of the people who like to watch shows right when they come out. On the internet it is usually 1-2 weeks behind schedule.
Boxee is a great program if you are running from a pc. Smooth UI and around 30 channels (the ones you mentioned included.) Also, some may consider a netflix subscription for around $9/month. Unlimited streams and they just struck a deal with major studios to hold off on new releases and in return they get a lot more stuff to add to the instant watch que.
Cancelled cable and upped internet to 10m/1m and am saving around $80/month. Now if I could just find live streams from networks I'd be gravy.
.....Also most major networks (USA, TNT, etc) have full shows you can stream from their website. Just google the network name or the name of the show you are looking for.
Hey Paul, how do you connect the computer to the back of the tv? I know there's a connection, but is it a network cable? USB? What kind of cable and which output from the computer goes to which input on the tv?
@pete5668 I really use DVI, as that is the connection on back of my Mac Mini and any LCD tv you buy now will have a VGA and or DVI connections in the back.
I said VGA because I have no idea how tech savvy the viewers of this video are.
Overall a Mac Mini is the best solution I think. No need to disconnect it and you can always keep it on. Also (shameless plug) you can use interesting alarm clocks that wake you to your flight info and weather report like sleep.fm
I wondered if this was even possible, and if so I thought maybe you could only watch older shows, or episodes but it doesn't sound like it concern... Question.....Can you suggest a good LCD/TV, decent price range these days, and where to get it?....and does the size of the tv matter? I'm brand new to Youtube there so much stuff on here it's crazy.....I love it.
I have connected mai macbook 2 mai tv, and noa watch all my shows free and online. But could you give me more info about that wireless mouse where u can right click and drag, and what that does exactly
I use gyration hand held wireless mouse; check Ebay.
My web browser is Firefox not Internet Explorer. With Firefox you can install plug ins(software) like the mouse gesture plug in(search google) that allows you to right click and motion down to enlarge text.
But watch streaming is worst, i prefer download and play and stop the time i want with real HD and max HQ sound possible.
It's just i dont like much of streaming... But some times that can be good, not in this case (for wath series and tv shows) mybe for news, porn and things like that.
@TheTemplai i agree with you completely on that :) if tthers a chance i can download instead of stream 98% of the time i'll download.. because noramlly for me it's better quility ect...

Yeah i never watch TV that i just have a capture card in my computer that can recieve air waves. (except for fox, but no one cares)
Also, if you have a video card in your PC or other computer that has HDMI, you are likely to have that option as well.

That's cool you prefer downloads, but they take time. I just want to go to hulu or whatever online TV/movie site and click play and watch right away!
I use to download stuff all the time before all these free legal sites started appearing!
