In my style of karate (Hayashi ha Shito-ryu kai) The order is the following: White (10 kyu) - Orange (9 kyu) - Blue (8 kyu) - Red (7 kyu) - Purple (6 kyu) - Green (5 and 4 kyu) - Brown ( 3, 2 and 1 kyu) - Black (1-10 dan).
