2) Stuff you should know. Stuff you missed in history class. Put out by the same people. Great short explorations of different events in history in the latter case, and a more general exploration of random topics in the former.
3) The brain science podcast. Great content. Really smart host. But the delivery is really dry. I skip a lot episodes sometimes, but the content is good. The interviews are the best episodes. She talks to some smart people in neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy.
1) Rationally Speaking. This is a podcast put out by the New York City Skeptics. So it comes from an atheistic point of view (technically, skpetical), but doesn't really discus religion. They have shows about the sciences, and morality, free will and vegetarianism, etc...One of the host is a former biologist turned philosopher of biology. Great stuff.
I argue against God's existence because they falsely try to argue in favor of it, at the detriment of education and science. If it was Zeus they were pushing on kids and wasting tax dollars on, I'd be arguing against that.
Anyway, thanks very much for this, I don't listen to any podcasts yet, but I will now (I'm familiar with Tyson, he's awesome, his style is fun and his material is excellent). Time to go check out Radio Lab!
Thank you for your efforts, Akihabara, I love your channel. :D
iTunesU, Open course ware (OCW) from MIT, Scientific American Mind Magazine, BBC Knowledge Magazine then there are video and audio lectures from The Teaching Company (kind of pricey but worth it).
Lol, I didn't expect This American Life, but yeah, I love listening to that myself. Science is great, I love it, but sadly there's so many human problems that need to be solved that science can't seem to help with. (at least yet :)). I think that's why I love This American Life, it's just amazing in how it explores some of the weirdest corners.

Hey Aki, great list! Here are a couple additions:

I'll see if I can find them, especially the one about religion. Even though I'm an Atheist I I'm still fascinated by mythology.
