  • This is one of the reasons that I'm a Catholic - Anti-Abortion!

  • Dear Poseidon, did you know that in parts, many parts of Europe the people protested after the church stopped the inquisitions. They felt safer with the church determining judgements in MANY cases. I agree the church, especially in the USA disgraceful after the sexual scandals. I follow God and remain with the only church Christ had time to found, the Catholic Church.

God Bless our great pope, Benedict X

  • It's important to understand just who is behind abortion. You might be surprised. Go to tiny url daht cahm slash abortioniskosher

  • You cannot be a Catholic and a Obama supporter at the same time.

  • thank you for speaking out against this organization. It uses tax dollars to spread lies and destroy lives, those of the unborn and those of the young mothers who believe their lies. The American Psychological Association has retracted its statement that abortion has little effect on the mothers mental health in light of new research. Planned parenthood continues to make the claim that abortion is not harmful citing APA as it's source. To me it is a group that fervently seeks to destroy life.

  • FightingRight, thank you very much for your comments!

  • you cannot be catholic and be pro abortion. thats just the way it is. being a catholic in good standing entails more than just believing in God. it includes believing in and adhering to the moral teachings of the magesterium. if you dont agree thats fine. no one is forcing you to be catholic. the anglican and episcopalian churches would suit you well.

  • marmstrong35160, thank you for your excellent comments! regards...

  • If FOCA becomes law Americans that voted for Obama/Biden in 2008. Obama/Biden will lose by 48 states not including the District of Columbia just like McGovern in 1972.

  • Matthew 1

21She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,

and they shall call his name Immanuel" (which means, God with us). 24When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

  • It is very sad. Only means people who care need to work that much harder.

  • All the hispanics who voted for Obama knowing what his intentions were with regard to abortion I hope our Blessed Lord show the pain and suffering of all the babies who will die as a result of your actions

  • excommunication to pro-choice politicians. we need to let people know how serious this is.

  • Obama supports Planned Parenthood 100%.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. 78% of their clinics are in minority communities. Blacks make up 12% of the population, but 35% of the abortions in America. Are we being targeted? Isn't that genocide? We are the only minority in America that is on the decline in population. If the current trend continues, by 2038 the black vote will be insignificant.

  • Obama supporters who claim to be Catholic....are not! they need to read in their dusty Catachism, canons 751 and 1364. As a Hispanic im so ashamend of my fellow race for their blind allegiance to such a moral liberal, Obama. Also, Im so embarrassed, when I see young Latinos wearing, Che Guevara T-shirts. Pope John Paul the Great, fought so hard to help topple Communism in the world. Shame on you!

  • They should be wearing pope john paul the second t shirts

  • John McCain served his country in war. John McCain is a natural born citizen. John McCain has no problem with saluting the American flag. John McCain is pro life. A nation that kills its children has no future! I am standing by my faith and my church. I am voting for a real American who supports life and the future of this country!

    McCain/Palin 08

  • If wars determine who is American, then wars go on and Americans cannot determine who is American.

  • Thank you for the video , God bless you

    Mc Cain 08

  • jerrysmith29, you are welcome and may God Bless you also!

  • Make the BUSH TAX CUTS PERMANENT!!

Why should the rich pay more for social programs like education, healthcare, and housing?!?! The middle class are the ones using these services!!!

    McCain 08!!!!

  • Barack never said he was a roman catholic...

    Neither did Hillary

    Facts not propoganda!

  • So what?

  • redwife21, the video never says that Barack or Hillary are Catholics!!

  • "Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government," she said. "They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or sovereign. Mother Teresa

  • good quote

  • Who is the Vatican to get itself involved in politics and medicine?

  • radiofan6872, the Vatican gets involved in matters of ethics and morals. Remember the Ten Commandments?

  • I'm pretty sure the vatican had nothing to do with the ten-commandments. That was Mosses and God...

  • luigiman425, did you mean "Moses" instead of "Mosses"? You are not pretty sure of anything. The Canon comes from the Church.

  • I am so sorry I wrote that extra S. (Sarcasm) Honestly though, I think planned parenthood is a sad place. There is always better options than abortion, but it really isn't for the church to say things like catholics can't vote Democrat. More than fifty percent of Catholics voted for John Kerry in 2004, so I guess they all aren't catholic.

  • luigiman425, please go back and watch the video -- the video NEVER says that Catholics cannot vote Democrat. The video says Catholics cannot support candidates who promote abortion, regardless of their political affiliation.

  • Yeah but outside of Casey what major democrat is pro-life? The essential planks of the party are pro-death, and pro homosexual. You cannot even be supported by a central committee unless you pass the litmus test of pro-abortion. One may be able to be a Catholic and democrat, but I don't know how.

  • Take a look at DemocratsForLife(dot)org.

  • A small unaccepted group, that violates the official plank of the party does not speak for the party. These issues of killing the weak, and homosexual unions are Intrinsically Evil, and under Par 21 of faithful citizenship have to avioded. The Holy Father was plain in the interview over Mexican Politicians, they excommunicate themselves. The essential planks are pro death, one can be a Democrat, but not vote for any of them, or give them any funds. If they are pro-death.

  • The Catholic Church is for the most part socialist in it's beliefs regarding economics-yet very conservative in regards to abortion. How do you feel about Catholics being in bed with Evangelicals? Afterall, you talk with an evangelical "on the level" and they'll admit how they really feel about the Church of Rome.

  • Catholicism, socialism? I think not. The Catholic Church has formally condemned socialism numerous times. Sensus Proximus Fide. Any statements made by other bishops or even the pope must stand in that context, the more plain and definitive being the standard. They may nuance, but not reverse. Certain bishops may be socialists, but a derivation no matter how large in number does not define a position.

  • What you refer to is ecuminism. (Frankly Evangelicals are divided on this issue, See Evangelicals and Catholics Together, and responses to it by Gerstner, and Sproul.) That issue aside, which is a big issue, there is a fine line between Ecuminism and Ecumania. (False Ecuminism.) Ecuminism must be in the truth, or it is Anti-Christ Theology. (Refer to the Pope's Spirital Director's lecture on the Anti-Christ being an Ecuminist.) This all would refer to models of ecuminism. (Ie Ends)

  • If the end is hiearchic unity, won't happen in the near future. If it is working together, I guess they can co-operate where they share common cause, agreeing to disagree. But a Catholic must consider their hiearchy of truths, according to Vatican II, and begin dialogue from there. The problem with today's ecuminism is it downplays or denies the differences, and so the unity is achieved on the lowest common denominator, and is always fragile.

  • The thing that made me leave the Church was Father Roy Bourgoise speaking at my Church when I was 17. He gave the most anti-American diatribe of a homily regarding US foreign policy in Central/South America. Say what you will, but the death squads saved Latin America from Communism. The Church played both sides during the cold war.

  • I know what you are referring to. I have seen it also. The liberal priests. A friend of mine in RCIA once asked me do I have to become a liberal democrat to be a Catholic after one talk. The seminary I went to had these guys, talking all the time about the 'school of the Americas.' They tried to kick a guy out of seminary because he put up a flag after 9/11. They are stuck in the 60's, and they are not Catholic theologically.

  • These hippy priests. They snuck into the seminaries, and only let their kind get ordained. (Read good by good men.) The new age priests. All their theology is just liberal protestantism passed off as Catholicism. And when I try to teach official teaching I get that is not what Fr. X taught me. These heresies were condemned by Rome in the 1900's. Americanism, Modernism, Liberalism, all condemned.

  • Like one pastor I lived with, once admitted to me he had not Read Vacitan II, yet he was trying to emplement it. And when I did things from VII he would tell me they are 'pre-vatican.' Ordained in 1971, so his texts in Seminary should have been the documents. He just memorized summary responses written by other sems in Latin, which he hardly knew.

  • These liberals are responsible for the majority of the problems in the church today. The 'call me bob' priests, the 'I never wear a collar,' 'I use pottery , and berlap' at Mass priests. The rigid liberals, who force their narrow theology down the faithful's throat, using the pulpit to teach Curran, Kung, Rhaner, Fuchs, Chardin, Murray, DeLubac just to name a few of their mentors. And their students are the biggest pains I have, always trying to undermine Catholic Dogma.

  • Oh and many of them did support liberalism. Many of them had posters of Revera, Mao, the nuns from El Salvador, MLK Jr on their walls. America and NCR are in their churches. But they have been taking advantage of Rome's slow movement, and hiding under their supporters who have moved up and support them. Rome is getting rid of these guys, their seminaries, if the civil authorities did not over abuse. (Yes the liberals are the majority of the abusers.)

  • It might sound crass, but those nuns got what they deserved helping the communists. What gets me is the way the church hides from being Catholic. Catholic Universities are more liberal then secular private universities. Say what you will about the Mormons, they keep their Insitutions in line and their people as well. The seminaries are full of pederastic gay men-of course those guys are liberasl. Ever hear of St. John's Seminary in MN-it's a Catholic Bathhouse.

  • Well I have to say that is cold, not sure they got what they deserved, but as American citizens they should not have been in a foreign nation playing around with the communists. Thought I hate communism, if they want to be so, they can do it in America, and write letters to congressmen, not going to other nations trying to effect their governance. I don't like foreign nations or powers messing with us on native soil, and vice versa.

  • Now another problem, besides them being American. Them being nuns. (IE religious) Both Religious (Nuns&Brothers) and secular clergy in the Catholic Church have no right to mess with politics. We do not endorse candidates, or directly oppose them in our position as clergy. We can speak out on issues, IE this is compatable with our faith this is not. But our official position is a-political. Planks or parties we condem, IE communism, Socialism, are officially condemned by the vatican.

  • About the the Universities, JPII wrote Ex Corde Ecclesia, which requires mandatums to be called Catholic. (IE there are only a few Catholic universities/colleges in America the other's have a 'catholic tradition' or something like that in their title. ARE NOT CATHOLIC. They do not have a mandatum from Rome.) Rome even added a new canon to the code giving this document teeth. (Something my Canon law teacher was not aware of.)

  • Now remember clamping down on these colleges will take time, an some may just completely step out of Catholicism. (Ie lay boards control them and the issue of financial aid, and sadly 10 year.) But Mormons are not so tight, BYU had a big problem with liberals undermining Mormon doctrine, revisionist history on the Sept 11 slaughter, and scholars applying higher critizism to the book of Mormon. That is the beginning of where it starts, the first chip. Without disicipline, others follow.

  • But imagine when you do clamp down. Liberals scream academic freedom. Conservative fundamentalists add this to their list of problems with the Roman Church. And even proclaim it sign of antichrist. No winning with them, when our liberals teach heresy, we are new age antichrist, when we disicipline them, we are hiearchic antichrist. Send me an e-mail about St. John's and what you have heard, Not the place for politics and religion discussion, but I want to know. Thanx.

  • Do you believe in freedom of speach.

  • i did not now about this planned parenthood... thanks to this video i will NOT vote of thoes who suport planned parenthood.

  • susy897, thank you very much for your comments!

  • I'm a Catholic and I make an informed, balanced decision which I feel benefits my own beliefs as well as society's as a whole.

Once the Church seriously and transparently addresses it's internal issues and problems, then maybe I'll consider lending my ears to it's leaders. Until then my own worship comes from within.

  • stu22aus, then you are not a Roman Catholic.

  • Well if the Catholic Church is going to systematically deny and cover up internal abuse cases, as well as retain and re-assign sexually abusive clergy, perhaps I'm glad to be dissident.

  • stu22aus, you are not a dissident -- you are a non-Roman Catholic. You belong to a different religion other than Roman Catholicism.

  • Now why would you say something like that?

  • Next point is that the video looks Ok. We dont have the Planned Parenthood Institution in Europe though we do have abortion on demand! The only thing I would say about excommunication is its OK as a public tell-off but holds little fear for Individual Catholics. Lets not forget Hitler and Mussolini were both Catholic and neither was officially excommunicated although mortal sin does the same job internally and with greater harm.

  • What is it about Americans and Dan Brown? The book is a work of fiction that copies Holy Blood Holy Grail of ten years before by Lincoln which is itself a work of fiction. Its like UFOs and all the other cults that spring out of the USA without any intellectual merit whatever! I am depressed becasue its hardly any wonder that a large part of this world looks at what Americans say and just laughs at how stupid and gullible you are!

  • Wow this is antisemite terrorist propaganda. We need 2fight the iranins in iran so we dont have 2fight them here.Ulibs need 2b detained untl ucan prove u r not a terorist. If any iraqi tries 2take myFREEDOM I will blowup his cave cmd centr.IranNchina hve been stckpling WMDs2 use aginst us an our Israeli friends in th form of a mushroom cloud in th global wr n terror. When the market crash+bio/nuke battle comes we need world govt.+world bank+hive mind+every1 get microchip so prs bush cn keep us safe

  • God gave us free will... By denying somebody the capacity to commit a sin, are we denying them the free will that God gave them? Is it up to us to seperate the wheat from the chaff? Trying to inform people about why abortion is wrong is more important now than trying to change the world through secular means.

  • Rosary, It is starting to appear as though you have a stock list of replies that you are using. I will reiterate that Dan Brown did not invent this theory. This was the culmination of a few theories actually that began to intertwine during research. Brown came upon it and then wrote his book.

  • Sorry I was signed in under this account, it's me ;) but I also want to ask you a question Rosary. Again no offense intended. Do you believe that the earth is roughly 5,000 years old? Are you a staunch creationist? I am curious, because all those things are very clear in the bible.

  • Dan Brown did not invent the story, he did not even believe it until he started to research it. You do need to google a few things. Beside the information on Christ & MM, you really should check on some history. I am amazed at your closed mindedness. You are able to take this leap of faith that someone who lived over 2000 years ago, and all of the rest of that stuff, but you can't take a few minutes to check history and and look at a few theories that may test your moral conviction.

  • characterdefect, I am more than familiar with Dan Brown's falsehoods. Anyone who believes in such obvious garbage does so because they want an excuse to deny Christ.

  • I tried to respond the other day regarding christs marriage. Maybe it was the fact that i used html addresses, but anywayyou know, the DaVinci Code, was based on that premise.Google Mary Magdalene jesus sarah, and you should find quite a bit of info on the theory, some of which is very compelling.

I don't know for sure, I wasn't at the reception, but it is as likely as someone coming back to like three days after cruci-fiction.

  • bassplyr98, I don't need to google the DaVinci Code lies from Dan Brown. Anyone who believes in such obvious garbage does so because they want an excuse to deny Christ.

  • Rabbis, Imams and other religious leaders are often obliged to be married before instructing their congregations on issues of 'family purity' and the like. Not so priests (or nuns), who must deny themselves all earthly pleasures.

Sexual abuse happens everywhere, but priests are seen as spiritual leaders and when they molest children (or, using their authority as an excuse, adults) it puts the Church in a bad light, as does moving them to other dioces when 'problems' arise.

  • You do know that not all priests are forced to be celibate, right? It's a common regulation among Western-rite Catholics (the vast majority), in place to ensure that priests and nuns can spend as much time as humanly possible ministering to the laity - thus, I believe, a splendid regulation - I want the priest able to focus on his congregation as a whole, as opposed to the self-interest that family naturally brings.

  • i can't look at any priest and not think he is gay.that is what the church has become to me.I am not anti gay,I am against the church not realizing celebacy is wrong at any level. How can a priest talk about things that they dont understand, like marriage.

  • characterdefect, Jesus Christ never married.

  • rosary, we love you really but I am afraid your outlook is exactly what we fear of organized religion, closed minded attitudes and a fear of considering anything outside the dogma of your chosen religion.

You are correct Bishop Lay was not involved in the molestations, but didn't he allow them, possibly condone them by his silence and protection? You did stray from the original thread, which was 2000 years of building civilizations. Are we in agreement that that is simply not the case??

  • bassplyr98, only three bishops and one priest are presented in the video. Bishop Lay is not in the video.

  • Please refer to my last post and I'll be happy to continue this thread with you. It is inconsequential if Lay was included or not. I mention him to show the inaccuracy of your statement regarding "truth" and the church. He was just a very public face. Btw Christ most likely was married. Many now believe he ended up in Gaul. A chateau/village, the name of which escapes me at present. Some insist that birth records exist there in a church for two of his children.

  • bassplyr98, no one is going to take any of your comments seriously when you say "Christ most likely was married".

  • This film starts by accusing P.P of misrepresenting pro-lifers, but is guilty of exactly that itself regarding P.P. Reading some headlines out of context and proclaiming P.P's agenda?!?; I will go to P.P themselves to see what they say. I admire much work of the Catholic church, but this is exactly why I have long given up the Catholic faith that was forced upon me from birth.

  • lee797, so you believe what Planned Parenthood tells you and automatically reject what the Church teaches?

  • Cont'd. This information from Birthright was several years ago, so I am sure it has only gotten more difficult since then. It also mentioned that the nurses involved in these hospitals of partial birth abortions suffered extreme periods of burnout and was particularly difficult for them. Being raised in the traditional Catholic setting, I would never, ever vote someone into an elected office who supported Planned Parenthood, knowing what I know now. Thank you.

  • I read some extensive information from Birthright about abortions, but more importantly partial birth abortions. I was absolutely horrified of what goes on. It mentioned that the physicians often instruct the nurses to take a dying infant into a closet and keep it there until the infant suffocates until death. I'm sorry to be so graphic, but this really hit home with me.

  • Many countries have banned Intact Dilation and Extraction (politically known as "partial-birth abortion") - less than 0.5% were done that way in the US until it was declared illegal recently.

Doctors are reluctant to perform such late-term "abortions" for both ethical and legal reasons - it is, for all intents and purposes, infanticide.

  • Can they vote for those supporting death penalty?

  • I'm not saying that I would, or wouldn't, but lets take a closed look at the death penalty, and the person recieving it.

Part A: The person being killed.

We shall call him a 'murderer', because he/she has most likely killed a person/people. And has possibly raped them has well. The 'life' sentance only goes for about 30 years, and then they have the possibility to get out, and maybe do it AGAIN.

  • Part A con.

Do you really want some one like that walking the streets? No, I didn't think so. The death penalty is a method of self-defense, and defending others.

Part B: The difference between the murderer, and unborn child.

What does the unborn child do to deserve a death like that? Well, nothing really. They just... live.

Now what has the murderer done? Well, lets take an example of one done recently. (I don't remember they're names or ages.)

  • a man kidnapped a little girl, I'd say either 7 or 11. Then he raped her. After that he buried her ALIVE!!!! In a plastic garbage bag! With nothing but her stuffed animal to keep her company until she died.

Needless to say, he got the death penalty.

Didn't mean to insult you if I did.

  • The death penalty was abolished in Australia in 1967.

Child abusers and killers have it tough, though - both guards and prisoners have children.

Most civilised countries have abolished the death penalty - America keeps reinstating it in various jurisdictions.

  • May I ask what a choof is?? Thank you....ps g'day :)

  • Choof is Aussie slang for marijuana :-)

  • can you spare any?

  • I'm taking a break from it for a while - being constantly stoned is not conducive to clear thinking. It's been three weeks now, I suppose I am lucky that its addictive claims are vastly overstated.

  • Ha! I thought it was a gateway drug that would have me playing piano crazily and cause permanent insanity.

  • the church has a 2000 year history of hiding the truth Galileo priest homosexuality etc.

  • characterdefect, the Church has a 2000 year of promoting the truth and building civilization.

  • this is another member of characterdefect. To which church do your refer?? The one that has actually had obstruction of justice charges levied against it, or the one that has paid over $250 million over the last 6 years to silence allegations of molestation? I'm sorry, they are the same institution. As far as building civilization is concerned, I might agree, as long as that civilization was willing to adopt christiandom. If not, Christiandom was served on the end of a sword.

  • And let us not forget the Spanish Inquisition, residential schools in Canada, sexualy innapropriate behavior cover up's...... and I could do this all day rosaryfilms.

I still follow God, but I WILL NOT FOLLOW THAT CHURCH.

  • Planned parenthood has a history of distorting truth? What type of truth, provable truth. Truth that can be supported with evidence? Scientific Truth? or religious truth. There is a difference.

  • indecisiveharmony, all types of truth, any type of truth, in any shape or form.

  • The logical consequence is: if anyone thinks it's OK to kill somebody because his/her life is an obstacle to o "higher purpose", how can this person make a just decision over anything - taxes, policies, education etc. ? The way you think about unborna baby affects the way you think about anything else. Dehumanising baby leads logically to dehumanising other gropus of people - eldery, handicaped, of different religion, skin colour, nationality.

  • To dehumanise is defined to deprive of human qualities such as individuality, compassion, or civility. Humanity runs deeper than species; significant factors to comply rights need establishment of specific qualities, such as independant brain functions, characteristics, personhood, etc. above all, these qualities are reserved and solidied for the born, potential alone can't cut it. That's my ultimate determination to disern the line between fetus and human.

  • A statement that can't be deemed subjective whichever abortion stance you're on: "Abortion is indisputably inevitable", if in the impossible outcome it suddenly became nationally illegal it wouldn't end anything, only make things worse. Other nations already show where abortion's illegal rightful women still resort to it, likely afflicted with injuries, health suffers and raising death rates. Emotional problems would ensue far beyond any Post-Abortion Syndrome, financial trauma. So on.

  • I see no reason to suspect otherwise illegalize abortion would only simply increase the supply of adoptions numbers either. I see no immoral factor to hinder the legality of abortion, no reason to think of a fetus as anything with personhood or independent rights, therefore no reason a fetus could logically impose on this defended activity. Abortion is not just a woman's personal decision, it's a productive right with every sufficient reason to continue.

  • bogienka, those are excellent comments!

  • wow that is completly incorrect

  • sux2bu20392, the video shows accurate quotes from American Bishops, who, are correct in their views in that they are consistent with the teachings of the Church.

  • I am not a believer in abortion for abortions sake. I do believe that if a woman concieves as a result of rape or incest, if a woman's health is at risk, if the child is shown to be suffering from deformity that would not allow it a quality of life, it should certainly be allowed. I do not see any correlation between my beliefs on abortion and my attitude towards any group or cult, other than the right to lifers maybe.....

  • bassplyr98, two wrongs do not make a right. Rape followed by murder of an innocent baby makes things worse -- not better. Murdering an innocent baby does not unrape the woman. Also, the bishops listed in the video were not involved in any scandals.

  • If you vote simply out of religion you've forgotten what you're voting for, a candidate whose concerns and duties aren't to ensure Catholic status upon a country, at the imposition of all America's others whose cultures and religions can't comply to it. A Candidate's legimaticy doesn't begin and end on their stance on abortion and if religious complience is the only factor, you could still do very well to find many more aspects you would find contradictory to Catholic beliefs.

  • It's a matter of principles. If God is number one, everything else is working perfectly. Jesus says: "What you have done to one of the smalest you've done it to me". So, according to Jesus, kiling the unborn baby is killing Him. It's really easy to understand. - to be continued

  • bogienka, I agree!

  • Religion alone can't dictate voting. If compliance to your own religion is the utmost determination of your vote I'm very sure even if you took the politicians that are against abortion you would still be able to stack many other aspects of them contradictory to the Roman Catholic beliefs. If your only reason to vote is to preserve the Catholic beliefs, your religious submission will only just lose its meaning in a Country whose peoples and politics aren't concluded with single religion sole.

  • The ideology behind "Planned Parenthood" is empowerment of women and their partners to make informed choices.

Only abstinence can prevent pregnancy, but this is NOT a viable option for everyone, or even most people.

Legal abortion is an acknowledgement that people will seek such a procedure anyway, and it is more safely performed in a sterile environment with qualified doctors accountable for their actions.

  • ChoofMonster, once one wades through all the fine-sounding "buzz words" and euphenisms perpetrated by Planned Parenthood, one finds in the final analysis that unborn human beings are slaughtered just like the Jews were slaughtered during the holocaust.

  • 'Legal abortion is an acknowledgement that people will seek such a procedure anyway'

People still murder, rape, steal, and do drugs among other things. Does that mean these should be legal has well?

  • Rape, murder and theft affect other people. Drug abuse is a victimless crime.

It's not the job of the government to stop me from being an idiot - if I don't wear a seatbelt and die in a collision, that's my own fault. If I smoke pot and get cancer - same thing.

Abortion is a medical procedure, not murder - had the religious right not hijacked the debate, we would probably have seen abortions banned after the first trimester, not available until full-term.

  • There is nothing to discess. Catholic voting pro-death are excommunicated automatically, so if they go to communion it's sacrilege. It is part of catholic faith. If somebody doesn't like it, many protestant denominations are supporting abortion, gay marriage and other "hitech" ideas.

  • bogienka, thank you for your comments!

  • haha, people vote for whatever they feel is right.

  • NikoKun, voters cannot claim to be a Roman Catholic if they vote for anti-catholic candidates.

  • You're too black and white Rosary... There are plenty of Catholics out there who have far different views than you do, on these issues. It doesn't make them any less Catholic.

They can, and will vote differently than you expect. Because they can support different issues.

These issues are not exclusively anti-catholic or pro-catholic...

  • As far as social outlook goes I don't see morality as an obstacle at all with abortion either. Legal abortionists have justifications, qualifications and certifications for the procedures to reason out the dreaded m-word.

  • That would really please you wouldn't it? :) I'm saddened this topic has been overthrown by shock value statements as the primary tool for compell, in both abortion and anti abortion circles. In case you weren't already aware I'm not a person for a lot sympathy, but if I do express such a feeling it'll be towards those whom have already been born, I won't be sad for something that was never born and never appointed to be born.

  • If you are to take the term abortion today would it register the characteristics for murder? Murder is distinguished by illegality and malice. Legal: Generally; nearly 2/3 of the world's women reside in countries where abortion is available on request. Justification: Abortionists have qualifications to do what they do hence justification for their job. Malice is also a determining aspect, no reason to apply to abortion.

  • Planned Parenthood and STOPP are both embarassing. I'm saddened most of all that the abortion has been taken to such a childish level to the point it's practically name calling and propaganda; you condemn PP's claims against Pro-Life circles as nonsense, then you follow up by calling their actions as "anti-life, anti-family, anti-god evil propaganda". You yourself have participated the name game by calling abortionists considerless butchers and trained murderers...

  • MeinFuhrerICanWalk, I stand by the comments in the video. If you are saddened as you say you are, then be saddened by the 53 million Americans who were murdered by abortion since Roe v Wade. That -- is what you should be sad about and fighting against!!
