it's funny, it looks like they are recording instruments separately. Can you imagine a jazz tune where every musician plays his part separately, like in rock or pop music? jajaja that's impossible in jazz! would be like playing on top of Aebersolds :)

Brian Blade is truly amazing, saw him in Australia with the Wayne Shorter Quartet. Wow! haha, now I know what album I'm going buy next.

Brian Blade is such an amazing drummer, he's a drum whisperer!! he doesn't beat his kit to get moving he seems to ask gently 'why don't we get along for a little while?, no-one's going to bash you here...... you're a good drum kit and I know we can be great together' People think he's crazy!!! But the sound, the motion..... incredible!!! Every time I get to watch him I feel like I have been given a great gift!!! Thanks

This song is not on any of his albums. This song is "Softly as in the morning sunrise"

Check all his albums out. My favorite is "I'm Still Here". If you like standards, "Ancestry" or "Prayer" might be better for you.
