The Uchiha's coup detat against their village would have destabilized the entire region of Fire Country leaving into a civil war, and it would have given other countries open door to invade the Fire Country thus begins the 4th Ninja World War. The selfish desire of the Uchiha alone would have caused deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people all around the world.
