i absolutely love this, I just rediscovered Brokeback Mountain after a couple years and i can really understand this movie now, and i havnt been able to get it out of my head, and this scene I am grateful for, it creates a sense that these two people were real and alive, even though its fiction. Way romantic and moving, I love it.
In Ang's interviews he mentions going into the feeling level of the character for definition. The scenes in Brokeback Mountain well support his direction. Ennis, loving, affectionate, feeling, yet unable to fully embrace and accept his relationship with Jack.
:::Sigh::: I canot watch any scenes of this film without crying. They feel, I feel.
This was the most touching romantic movie I've ever seen. Acted to perfection. The fact that Heath and Jake did not get best actor and best supporting actor, to me, is an unspeakable affront. From that point on the Academy Awards revealed itself a fraud!
Beautiful! Love the words, music & the feeling in this video. The best one I have seen!Makes me cry. The beautiful sad look in Jacks face is just priceless
Siempr, siempr Jack.
combines the book and the movie...the music, somehow, unites the two works....jesus this video made me cry again. an excellent idea executed brilliantly.
brokeback mountain is the most beautiful thing ever made.
Man this really brought back the beauty of the film to me. I never really knew how beautiful Annie Proulx wrote. Thank you for making this. It brought tears to my eyes.
Very emotional....i mean if you haven;t been so in love with someone you won't understand this video. I have been in a relationship where i just couldnt say any words and felt so weak when that person held me....yea im a lesbian and I know this video is very moving and its a film i can relate to of forbidden love.
I love this part, really! I love how Ennis humming the song, and love how Jack looked at Ennis when he's gone! Thanks for posting this up and all your comment in this video, it's touching ^^!
Thanks Willow. I am unable to watch the movie. Being alone by choice for 17 years, it really brings it home that I am truly alone. There are many parts to Annie Proulx's story that I didn't like but then again, she didn't write it for me. Your video is as close as I have ever come to watching the movie since 2005......Tears in Texas... Thanks for posting.
Now, I can't even make a comment...I'm crying my eyes out so hard.....damn.
I love the SS, the film, the screenplay. I fucking adore Ennis and Jack.....and reading those words at the same time that watching those images...well....it was like a shot right to my heart...
Extremely gorgeous, bittersweet, touching vid. Thank you so much.
oh silly me it wasnt a commentary you where fitting the images form the film with the prouls wrighting form the short story i noticed when it said the bit about the column of rock and sexless hunger... oh well its still a great video
duh, of course it is and really why should that matter... im bi and i know love between man and man is exactly the same as between man and woman... so i dont get why people frown on a gay relationship...
Thankyou sooo much for this wonderful and heartfelt video...this video almost made me choke....i never seen any movie in my life which has had a greater impact on me than Brokeback mountain....What Ennis and Jack shared is beyond words for me...
This is the most beautiful, sad and well made video I've ever seen. I cried all the way through but I was just sobbing by the end with, 'Nothing marred it, even the knowledge that Ennis would not then embrace him face to face because he did not want to see nor feel that it was Jack he held.' - what a sentence and what a film.
Thankyou...this is the best BBM video I have come across...Heath & Jake brought Ennis and Jack to life...gave performances that I still am in awe of...Jake's face is beautifully forlorn...you can feel that ache...Annie's words hit my heart beyond any other author...
I am so deeply saddened by the tragic death of Heath Ledger. An incredible talent, an incredible loss. This beautiful, sad film will be even more sad with this knowledge. It stands as a testament to the nominated BEST ACTOR.
Willow, excellent video. Beautiful reminder of how the words of the Annie's excellent story were the essence that gave the filmakers all the inspiration needed to bring the heartbreak to the screen. Bravo on your effort.
Willow386 - You have totally captured what I feel Annie sees and feels in her heart and mind when she now ponders over her very words. God bless Annie for putting words to paper. For what came from "the word" was a phenomenon we may never have again. You have shown how powerful this movie is still, some 2 or more years later. "The silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger.". says it all to me. We all crave such an embrace :( Thankyou Willow386 for your work and creativity.
Thank you very much! It's not easy to explain, but I had a real need to make this video, because the movie touched me a lot. I love Jack and Ennis, I would have liked to see them truly happy, and this embrace contains all their love, tenderness, needs...it made me speechless, and I wanted to enjoy it with all its significance because - you're absolutely right -- it is somethig that I crave for myself!!
The writing is really moving. It gets you if you have ever been in love in such a way. I wonder why the director chose to set this scene in the daytime instead of at night like in the book. It would have added much more to the intensity in the dark, as described in the story...Ennis went off in the darkness...
Beautiful. Putting the author's words with this scene adds so much more meaning. One of my favorite scenes. Sadly, bittersweet. The music is perfect. Thank you for posting this video. It touched me today. Well Done.
But seriously, this such a simple and beautiful piece of work, it was obviously made with great care and thought.
Thank you for this.

Well this is great.
Instead of watching the whole movie I can cry like a baby and have my heart ripped out in 6 minutes and six seconds.

The written narration is a little melodramatic. But I am glad you guys had a good quality film.

My favorite line:
"Later, that dozy embrace solidified in his memory, as the single moment of artless, charmed happiness in their separate and difficult lives..."
Wow...this is breathtaking...and the visuals in the scene is so emotionally charged, it's mezmerising.

My favorite scene from the movie. He just holds him, singing...savoring the moment, pretending it can last.
The bittersweetness of having to let the moment go. Simply beautiful.
Where can I find the short story online...does anyone know? I would LOVE to read it.
