  • I saw this one in Lost Boys! Yeah I've seen that movie enough times to recognize the Laughing Sal in it...I believe it's right before Sam walks into the comic book shop.

  • That's laughing sally. Laughing Sal was the male version. And it was scarier. Buckets of nightmare fuel for me.

  • @Kryptnyt The male version was Laughing Sam.

  • @TopazDupree Oh, ok.

  • CREEPY COOL!

  • whats so funny...is she laughing at her reflection?

  • KILL IT WITH FIRE!

  • DAMMIT, CRACKED!!!

  • Make it stop... make it stop... please.... MAKE IT STOP

  • Well, we're all going to hell.

  • God help us all.

  • This will fuel my nightmares for months, if-not years to come. Thank you Internet. Thank you right in the face. I guess I will be drinking myself to sleep.

  • this this is haunting

  • I WANT TO SNIPE IT!

  • Ugh, they have one of these bitches at Kennywood...she was normally placed in front of the Laff in the Dark ride, but since it's been torn down, they put her in front of the Kennywood Train...she was annoying then, and she's still annoying now. -_-''

  • i like that part where she laughed

  • I hate these. There's one at Kennywood and it both creeps me out and annoys me everytime.

  • I don't know what sal is or why it's in the US, but MINDFUCK.

  • You can't walk 3 blocks in downtown Berkeley without running into one of these in-the-flesh. And the buses are worse.

  • i saw that last week at the Santa Cruz boardwalk

  • I just saw this Sal in Santa Cruz last week as well as the one in Fisherman's Wharf in S.F. Both have signs that say they originally came from Playland at the Beach in San Francisco.

I asked the guy who works at the Musee Mecanique about it and he said that they broke down so much back in the day that most parks had more than one and just switched them out while one was out for service.

Like you'd be disappointed if you go to the park and she wasn't laughing. ;)

  • I want one of these to put in my house for halloween or mabey all the time to scare the living daylights out of the kids.

  • we have one at kennywood park. she has greasy black hair and her paint is chipped. noone likes her.

  • First time I saw it at the boardwalk I screamed KILL IT WITH FFIIIRRREEEE

then my mom made me take a picture with it O_O.

  • strange to think that 100 years ago people used to find this sort of thing funny...

  • Laughing Sal > Any Disney Animatronic

  • i see laughing Sal all the time at Santa cruise beach board walk

  • now... im going to have nightmares... 0_o

  • hay guys this laughing pediphile costed $50.000 so be proud and kids go shit ur pants when you see this giant waste of money

  • imagine being the janitor for this place and your the only one there. they starting talking instead of laughing ,scrary shit

  • @clevelandsmith65 i said the same thing!...i think the boardwalk does a flashlight tour to the place cause its "haunted"

  • @deftones420 i hope so cause i wud hate to be the last one there , if they were closing up for the day

  • There all horrifying. The one ive seen is at kennywood and it freaks everyone out. I think the paint is peeling on the one ive seen

  • lol i use to think it was chucky lol

  • We have one of these at Kennywood. I hate it.

  • thats some scary shit son

  • Ha crazy fat bitch

  • thats not creepy at all,lol

  • so creepy arn't they ?

  • I cried when I saw that as a kid

    xD

  • wasn't this originally at funland?

  • aaaah!! i've always hated her!!

  • ah! i got nightmares after i went to the boardwalk.

  • this used to freak me out as a kid!

  • WTF IS THIS!!! lol it is okay it is creepy but where the heck is this !! CREEPY!!

  • CREEEEEPY!

  • Original paint or not, she looks more horrifying than the other one s I have seen.

This one is more butch and dutchboyish at the same time in appearrance and I like that she is not dressed all forties ladylike as the fishermans wharf one.

  • Playland at the Beach in San Francisco also had a laughing Sal, who lived in the window of the fun house, and of course creeped me out as a kid . She has been re-homed and spruced up with a different paint job and doesn't look nearly as horrific anymore. A shame.

  • She just makes the boardwalk have some odd, crazy touch to it. I live 5 mins away from boardwalk

  • Chucky?

  • yeah, it's chucky's mom!

  • she is at the santa cruz beach boardwalk..fyi i live right next to it lol!!

  • I saw this in person recently. It scared the shizzle out of me!

  • At age 55 I'm still getting goosebumps and wanting to run far, far away!

  • terrifying.

  • Our Laughing Sal back at the old Euclid Beach Park in Ohio was straight from the Twilight Zone too.

    Whoa!

  • She ain't no human being! It's her house, we're just visitors.

She's in several movies - Woman on the Run (film Noir),

Lady from Shanghai (she's sleeping in that one, Orson Welles is just leaving the Crazy House at dawn as the end is about to begin...

Man in the Dark - Edmond O'Brien almost loses his mind as both cops and criminals are out to bump him off in an eerily-lit amusement park haunted by Laughing Sal's chortles...

  • An actual human being would have be high to laugh that long.

  • As the dscription, Santa Crus Beach Boardwalk.

My life would not be complete without Laughing Sal. Seriously.

  • Jesus that thing is scary...where is it?

  • he is scary*crys in small corner*
