This is why peaceful protest doesn't work when there is not a clear leader to voice what the protesters want... example, Ghandi was the spokesperson of Indian independence... Martin Luther KIng jr. was the voice of the C.R.M... who is standing up for them? I just see some kids with nothing to do but to fight mindlessly... So far I don't even know why we are in Wallstreet protesting...

I was here tonight. I went home because the police were getting too out of control. Penning everyone off from any sidewalk they wanted indiscriminately, not allowing anyone to get anywhere in public areas. There's not even that many people there right now. It's not this giant dangerous situation. It's 400 people tops compared to what looked like 10,000 earlier in the day. Yet when the "adults" go home, the cops brought out the plastic handcuffs. Immediately.

I'm confused as to what NYPD's parameters are - first they won't hit you if you stay on the sidewalk, then they hit you if you are on the wrong part of the sidewalk, then they hit you for going where they told you to.
