I am not a am member and do not believe in anything right now, but someone I love is and believes in god, I have sensed that this Mr. Eyring is very sincere in saying what he feels. And although I do not believe it all, I always ask this loved person to let me know whenever he is teaching something. I found out since then a lot of valuable lessons that could be applied to my life independently of my creed.

I can feel God's love for me as I read the Book of Mormon, and it gave me knowledge of who I am. I was able to recognize my weaknesses and was given strength and power to overcome those weaknesses by exercising faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

@LONGPORKBUFFET I am well-immersed in the Pagan community, and I have NEVER heard of Magical Underwear, Secret Handshakes, and Seer Stones being used by ANY tradition, Dianic, Astaru, Wiccan or otherwise. As for Blood-oaths people have stopped doing them because we KNOW of the potential health problems that may arise from engaging in that behavior.

I think you need to check your sources and study more than just one faith before making claims.

If U'V done any research into modern wiccan ritual U would know that the 3 levels of initiation are EXACTLY the same as freemasonic initiation! As for Blood-oaths, it has nothing to do with MIXING blood, it means U would do horrific things to your body if you ever revealed the secrets of your cult! & this coming from a WELL-IMMERSED pagan. This is not great. The leaders have seen the evidence, but are happy for these poor souls to go through the stress of promoting the church to friends and neighbours. There must have been hundreds of thousands of stress inducing conversations, innitiated by poor guilt ridden mormon souls who feel obliged to promote their religion by people such as Elder Eyring. Their brains must be telling them the church is false, but their emotions got them into it. It's a great set up for inner torment.

it reminds me of something a friend of mine told me, how at one of those evangelical christian camps you felt pressured to speak in tongues - seriously! they were making people feel bad for not having this "spiritual" experience. exactly what the lds church tells people about receiving a testimony about the BoM. if you don't get it, you weren't praying right. if you don't convert people, you're a bad mormon. bull.

Indeed. I once had a pastor's daughter tell me she used to fake being "slain in the spirit" because she felt left out!" I think it's quite funny really. Moroni's promise is terrible because if you read it Smith is saying that if you don't believe you are insincere!

Thank you for your testimony, it gives me strength... I also know the church teaches truth. I love our leaders in the church, and cant imagine going a day with out the knowledge it brings to me!
