I find that comment "Race mixing is fine for those who do not care about their genelogy or who have no knowledge of themself" quite strange, because i don't agree with you at all. We are individuals and love different things. To say because I married someone out side my race i don not care is a bit far fetched. It may surprise that in my country Nigeria with a 1005 black population some people frown on inter-tribal relationships, and within tribes ppl frown on inter-clan relationships.

If it was possible for there to be no inter-racial marriages, other differences with fill in. I am not saying you in this case, but we all always love to dwell on our differences and and want ppl we think are like us to behave like we do. However, i have lived in different countries and different societies and have seen people irrespective of their race treat others like dung, as well as people being extra ordinarily kind.If after this experiences base my actions on race, that would be a shame.

Again your missing the point. The point i am trying to make and i think Bobby Hemmitt is also, Is that an unacceptable amount of "celebrity blacks" do not marry their own people. Over 70% of blacks in hollywood marry whites. My question is WHY? no other race does this accept us. If you dont think thats strange then you have missed the point. Iv'e been to many nations around the world and seen similar incedents of bad treatment within. But still marry there own in MASS!

you lost me with the God comment. As for genealogy, It is important but I don't share your point of view that marrying outside your "race" damages/destroys my genealogy. On the contrary, it makes it richer. i guess we don't agree there. The 70% you talk about is in hollywood. I am not looking to hollywood to help maintain any genealogy. What I know is that 70% ratio does not hold worldwide. And the idea that marrying outside ur race is against God is just wrong, becos we are spirit not body.

Can I ask why you couldn't respect your black and puerto rican heritage by being with a white woman? It seems to me the most respectable person would be willing to learn about other cultures as well as educate others about their own culture. The best way to do that is in a relationship. Far be it from me to tell a person who they should prefer when it comes to dating but I don't understand how respect comes into it.

You don't have to do anything about it unless you want to. Like I said far be it from me to tell who they should prefer to date. I just don't understand how respect correlates with what race of people you date because respect comes from your character and how you carry yourself. I was just curious as to how respect comes into it for you (and I'm assuming your family)

I am sort of torn on this subject matter... On one hand I can understand the desire to 'preserve' individual racial identity but on the other, I think that the ONLY way to really bring peace on earth is to ERADICATE racism!
