  • awesome bike, where did you get the speedo meter from? the tach meter is kool.

    Thanks..

  • @PeterDad60 Yea but you let your mom pick out your outfits in the morning

  • That may be the starting price. But when you walk into a harley dealership and get the otd price its near $9900. And unless you are a white male they dont really care to sell you one. Thats how it is in the south anyways.

  • @nismofury Hmmm, I paid list for my 883.

  • 883's are cool..in u.s.a. they cost $7999.00 , rumour is Harley wants them to sell in Oz with only a 10% price increase..i hope the rumour turns out to be true..then i might buy one..ride safe

  • Loving te LED fuel gague! Where's the fuel gague normally??!

  • Hi

Can you tell me more about the two gagues you've got? The standard only has one, so what have you uprated?

    Cheers

  • heyy im looking to get a harley for the first time im 17 now but im gonna start saving i like this bike but it isint a girls bike is it ??

  • @xXSoRightXx b/c it only has 883cc's it is considered the weakest harley and you will be called names such as"suzy" "laura" and " sandwich maker".. i sold mine and bought a nighttrain.. now i can sit at the bar with the rest of the guys and not have to use the womens room when we ride

  • @FightTheSystem1492 Your still a panzie. I never let anyone make my decisions.

  • I'm 6ft 4.... any chance of me fitting on it? I dont really have the funds to go for any of the bigger, more expensive HD models. To be honest I prefer the aesthetics of this bike over any other HD.

  • i love your bike man fucking beautiful ! im hoping to get one.... oneday :(

  • sounds good...wat was that thing on the mirror part?? check out my 883 sportster

  • fuck harley riders nothing but a bunch of pussys with leather jackets

  • Can you fit a pillion seat?

  • Can tell its aussie before even seeing the qld rego.... them birds set it.

  • @DjTommyKx

And the driveway concrete. Classic Aus.

  • Im sorry to tell ya my man but your bike is not a IRON its a evo and enough japan plastic and wires on it to fill Wal-Mart! You want a IRON Sporty? you have to get back to the 80's find ya a 72 if you want a good motor

  • did you lift the back?

  • i kind of like the fat bob, but two bad its 2x the price

  • So need one of these...getting my plan together! Thanks for the vid, inspiring. Ride safe.

  • how much did u get it???

  • Where did you get the Tachometer and the Fuel Guage?

  • this bike is beautiful!

  • Rockin bike!

  • No me gusta el sonido de esa moto parece que le hace como cerdo

  • What are the little numbers and "off" symbols for on the left grip?

  • It's a great looking bike, and even better in HD:)

  • Very nice! I tried to buy one of these the other day and they wouldn't go below $9,500 out the door. I was hoping to get it for the msrp :(

  • @ZentRose ur gettin ripped off. harley place here put it at $8,900 after dealer fees. msrp is around 8k if anyone wants to know

  • @TheHungriestGrizzly Nice! Its probably because Im in california maybe they think they can get more money out of people. Ive been to 3 dealers now, same story. Where are you from?

  • @ZentRose I'm in Florida, big biker population here too, what with Daytona and all. Keep shopping around man. Been riding mine for about a month now and can hardly keep my ass off the seat. Have fun and ride safe

  • Pipes are so fresh the insides aren't even black yet :)

  • Love what you have done to this bike, beutifull.. mind if i ask how mutch it cost you all together? Thanks!

  • Are harleys reliable? Nops341 has the same thing I'm thinking, I just like the exhaust note and the anti chrome look fuck chrome and fuck flames

  • Hey man, i love this video of your Iron, I want this to be my first bike so bad, but i had a question for you. That blue LED gas gauge, its really nice! Im a little paranoid of running out of fuel so i think it would be a necessity for me. Could you tell me how well it works and where you got it for future reference when i buy one of these sick machines?

  • How much was this bike with taxes, freight, and all that? I have about 10k and I was think about getting this one... or a Honda Shadow Phantom. I would buy the Honda brand new but I was wondering if I should buy a brand new Iron 883 or get a used one with 2k miles on it for 8.5k?

  • she is so fukin gorgeous

  • This is not secret society.....there is no password.....this is not a club....a team...or gang....it's whatever you make it....Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Iron 2009. (The Black Angels - Bloodhounds On My Trail)

  • Great bike man. The only thing that keeps making me think twice is my height. I'm 6'0 and people I've talked to said I'm too big for the bike. How tall are you and how do you fit it?

  • @95beretta - I'm as short as, 165cm tall and my feet sit pretty close to flat on the ground, but Harleys can be customed to you (well to some degree) - or so they tell me.

  • @95beretta I'm 6'4 and i just put some forward controls on. Works like a charm but you have to like the forward riding position.

  • @95beretta

with your heigh you should simply install forward controls and lets go ;p

  • @95beretta I just picked up an '05 883L a couple weeks ago. I'm 6'0 also with a 32/33" inseam. I was surprised at how comfortable the reach is (with fwd. controls) After having to give up my beloved '10 Fatbob, with it's very long Fwd. controls/reach, I was concerned as well moving down to a Sporty. I may "spice" my stock 883 up a bit or may opt for an Iron next year. If it doesn't have them - add them! Just my opinion.

  • @95beretta I ended up picking up an '08 Nightster with only 1,000 miles on it. I practically stole it. It already has the forward controls and Rush slip ons. It has to be the best bike I've ever owned.

  • @95beretta I have a '12 Iron, I have 6'2'', and I fit fine, feel comfortable on it, and have yet to hear i am too big for my bike from anyone that has seen me on it. I did get fwd controls though, which are a lot better if your 5'10" plus IMO. Unless you want mids that is.

  • @95beretta If you are still wondering, 6' is fine for this bike :)

  • @cheewie69 Thanks for replying back. I purchased an '08 Nightster this past July and I fit it fine.

  • @95beretta Great ! I guess you are fully satisfied of your bike? :)

    So, 6' is fine ?

  • @95beretta You can get fwd controls to fix that problem.

  • cool bike ur hot girlfriend can feel jealous..;) lol..i this bike has not launched in my country, i just want to ask what are those skull logos on foot rests, gear shift pedal and on handle? Thanks.

  • @mundi3210 - The Logos are known as "Willie G" skulls, and are a custom line from Harley.

  • gotta side mount your number plate and drop it in the arse mate

  • Your cameras quality is fucking beautiful, what is it?

  • @Tarn0wProductions

Its a Panasonic HDC-SD20. Its a great video camera with Leica lens. HD looks crystal clear as this video demonstrates. Only issues are poorer quality in low light situations, and still shots can only be shot in 2 megapixel. The next model up is considerably more expensive but stills are at a much higher quality, and improved low light images. If you can afford it go up a model, or if you plan to do mostly day shooting and for video only than this model is all you'll need.

  • this bike is sick, I went by the dealer last Saturday and they had one with those pipes, about $1400 for them. (installed)

  • Hey man great bike ! I got mine 3 months ago and its 100%stock ... I wanna get those pipes just had a few questions ... did you install them urself ? and if so other than physically installing them was there anything else involved ? thanks for the info

  • @msufan8854

I had the dealership install everything including the pipes at the time of sale.

  • Yes finally! I always wondered how it would look with the rpm, fuel and oil temp gauges, thanks mate!

  • Yeah it turned out nice with a few extra touches. I hated the chrome exhausts too...

  • That is a beautiful, beautiful bike. I love the pipes! They really nailed the lines on this thing. Pure sweetness.

  • sick fuckin bike dude, i'll be gettin my iron soon

  • I'm loving the LED fuel gauge brother.

When you put on the V&H shorts, did you have to retune it and change the airfilter?

  • @ThePaleHorseman5

The dealership did all the work, so a retune but now change to the air filter

  • gday aussie brother(the birds gave it away) i got mine a week ago.. and possibly the one of the last 2010 models in oz.... just did forward controlls and s/e mufflers....sounds great, but not as loud as yours, the dark custom stuff looks great, good on ya mate, see you on the road...;)

  • martin of Spain'm mee like to know where you bought the custom dark parts. and I would like to know if the ref and you want to share, thanks bye. by the way your bike is a wonder that happiness and I greatly enjoyed good health, excuse my English.

  • @martinortega

All parts where brought direct from my local harley dealer, who where very helpfull.

  • martin of Spain'm mee like to know where you bought the custom dark parts. and I would like to know if the ref and you want to share, thanks bye. by the way your bike is a wonder that happiness and I greatly enjoyed good health, excuse my English.

  • Sorry for deleting whom evers entry... but heres my response to your question anyway...

Vance & Hines Performance Exhaust (be guided by the others you've heard - its loud trust me), Willie G Footpegs, Willie G shifter peg, Willie G heated grips, Dark Custom derby & timer cover. Dark custom fuel cap, Harley Davidson LED fuel guage (quite accurate), Harley Davidson Tachometer, Harley Davidson Oil Temp Guage, Front Chrome guard, Rego tube. I think thats it.

  • Very nice, would you mind listing your mods/extra's?

Interested to know what is genuine gear. Also your Hines sound quiter than others I've seen on the tube, did you add baffles or something? I'm worried they'll be a bit too loud.

  • very nice migh sell my ktm soon for one,2 bad i enjoy wheeling so much :(

  • Upgrade the rims and you got a 10 dude.

  • Nice ride mate.

how do you find the LED fuel gauge? is it accurate

  • Its seems reasonably accurate... I think I need to do some more testing with it to be sure though.

  • I'm thinking about getting one, my iron doesn't arrive until June. I got the V&H side shots instead of the short shots and a race tuner with a screamin eagle heavy breather kit. I'm itching.

  • I'm sure you'll love this bike as much as I do. I previously owned a Honda naked sports bike... and detested the thing. But the iron but me back on two wheels with a smile on my face. Enjoy your ride in June.

  • @mercedesbence I've had some more experience with the led fuel guage now and can report its very accurate. I was'nt far out from the servo when it began to flash... by the time I got there the tank ws pretty much bone dry.

  • That's good to hear mate as I've bought the LED fuel gauge also. I just waiting until it gets delivered from the States. Cant wait until June when it gets delivered but June is winter here and it get's bloody cold.

  • Great bike, great custom, most beautiful Iron 883 I have seen.

  • Cheers

  • RAJ120379, how do you find it on the motorways/highways ? when I was in Oz I think the speed limit was about 110kmph or something similar to our (UK) 70Mph. How is it when you're sitting at that kind of speed ? I've got a Suzuki Bandit 600 at the moment and a bit worried I wont like taking the Harley on the motorway although It's innevitable that at one stage the 1200 conversion will have to be done.

  • Certainly the 883 is a bit tame, & I think in the longer term I would look to a 1200 conversion. But as a fairly inexperienced rider I've found it a sound place to start. At 110k/hr you're really winding its capacity out, or so I've found.

  • I really like you bike. Could you give a detail list of extras/upgrades?

  • Vance & Hines Performance Exhaust, Willie G Footpegs, Willie G shifter peg, Willie G heated grips, Dark Custom derby & timer cover. Dark custom fuel cap, Harley Davidson LED fuel guage, Harley Davidson Tachometer, Harley Davidson Oil Temp Guage, Front Chrome guard, Rego tube. I think thats it.

  • Hey mate, great bike and nice video. I see your an Aussie - QLD number plates on the Holden ute. lol.

I'm looking to buy an Iron soon....I'm wondering whether you could tell me how much you paid on-road for the bike.

Secondly, how much was the V&H short shots? Do you simply order them at the dealer and they do everything or do you have to get them shipped from the US? Cheers. Enjoy riding.

  • Yeah I did'nt know how to blur them out.

  • So the Iron as you see it was just over $16000, the additional parts costing just under $3000 fitted. The exhaust I can't quite recall on its own. I brought everthing at the dealership secondary to conveinience and their ability to fit it.

  • @RAJ120379 Cheers thanks!! I've got a sports bike and I'm getting fines and losing demerits all over the place, so I think a Harley would probably be a better bike for me right now.

  • Yeah I had a Honda 600f Hornet before this, there is no comparison. Not only is the make and quality of the Iron better its handling is excellent. Overall this is a bike that puts a smile on my face every time I ride it.

  • Nice bike! You sure paid attention to details. But what's that behind the seat if I may ask?

  • Its actually a "rego tube", have'nt got around to mounting on the back with the number plate.
