  • Whats the song?

  • WOOO!!! BLACK SABBATH OPENING!!!

  • Thanks for finishing with a clip from the late, great GC.

I didn't agree with Carlin on everything, but his "religion is BS" was just classic. In fact, I think I'll watch it again now...

  • I'm sure that many people suffer the way I do from: the feeling that for years (as a child) and onwards, people have deceived me about this bullshit story of religion! It made me angry to think that people would purposely do this. Fuck em, I say and yes, I am angry about it!

  • That croco-duck is so cute!

  • robust pugnacity

  • Wow they are so angry and ignorant. So what if the person is intellectually challenged? you publically call him an "idiot" so you can feel smarter and feel better about yourself? What about the person you insult? What about the family and friends of that person? See atheists are angry evil people.

  • @LiberalsUtopian

Stupid people cause the greatest amount of suffering.

They promote mass murder and you cry that they might get their FEELINGS hurt by me?

    Your priorities suck.

  • @blackacidlizzard There you go trying to rationalize your hatred of gods morality. Its not the fault of the disabled that you want to have high risk unprotected sex with other men and even with animals. thats why you hate gods morality. You are just displacing your anger at god onto the disabled.

  • @LiberalsUtopian

You got it backwards, but since you're "disabled" I don't expect that you will ever be able to even consider the possibility.

  • @blackacidlizzard No I don't. Im not the one who is so angry at gods morality that I claim god doesn't exist. I couldn't care less if it says not to have unprotected sex with other men and animals. Just because god disaproves with the way you live your life doies not mean that he does not exist.

  • I rarely get angry. Very little can get me angry. One thing that does however, is walking into a debate not knowing a damn thing about you're opponent's stand. Had I been in the room when Cameron pulled out the picture of the crocoduck I'd have been escorted out in handcuffs. Nothing pisses me off more than that cocky little weasel. I don't feel the same about Bananaman. I think he is legitimately daft. Cameron makes it obvious that he is lying.

  • Thanks for throwing in the Black Sabbath at the beginning. Great quote from RJD.

  • man.... that mother fucker sounds like seth green

  • i dont get it, why does russell find dawkins cute, is it just his voice, his voice is soft and gentle not cute :S, im not certain if he's mocking dawkins or not

  • @jhibbitt1 It's his grin and accent.... Yes, I'm strait, lol.

  • I'm an atheist and I'm not angry at all. I'm a very calm and mellow person by nature. Being angry gets you no where.

  • @AstronomyGuru84 One of the great joys in life (for me) is getting angry at extremely religious people. It's a kind of catharsis.

  • @politicoochie09 I'm just not an aggressive person by nature I guess. I have no right to tell someone else what they can and can not believe. In a nation with religious freedom it is a persons right to practice religion if they want. As long as they don't proselytize me and tell me that I must believe. When they do that I don't get angry I usually just shut down and shut them out. At the same time I remind them that we live in a nation where a citizen can choose to practice or not practice.

  • @AstronomyGuru84 Your approach is probably the correct one. Of course, I would never tell a person what they can or can't believe and I think that the fact we have freedom of speech and religion should be obvious to most Americans. But, I have a low tolerance for stupidity sometimes, and I can't help but tear into someone for being of lame mind. I do this because I KNOW where most of their stupidity lies... it's from laziness. It's easier to let God tell them rather than learn something new.

  • @AstronomyGuru84 I agree with you, but these people try to legislate their morality by passing laws that prevent gays from marrying, or they try to get religion in the form of Creationism or prayer taught or allowed in public schools, or impede life saving medical research on stem cells, then it becomes clear that it is not a live and let live situation we are dealing with. Further, you have to believe in God to get elected to political office, so of course the politicians will pander to this.

  • I don't get it. Religious people get angry when they're told god doesn't exist, why can't we get angry when people tell us it does?

  • @Vinzaf It seems like we don't have the right to counter their argument

  • Said this before and ill say it again, This show has extremely great taste in music

  • I support same sex marriage being legal everywhere marriage is legal. If anyone does not think same sex marriage should be legal could you tell me why?

  • Even factoring Dawkins' British understatement into account, his comments are more factual than anything else.

  • Sign of the Southern Cross! nice

  • as much as i agree with what you are saying about debate, there are some really angry atheists out there not interested in debate, but in intellectual bullying, using piss poor argument tactics (such as attacking grammar and diction and appealing to emotion.) i have a degree in religious studies and wouldn't pull this creationist crap, so there is NO justification for this kind of assault. ps, before the usual atheist responses, i am not a monotheist. don't quote the bible in response.

  • @bmbenblog I do bash people on their spelling and grammar on occasion, but I don't base my argument on it.... It irks me.... As for appealing to emotion, it depends on what is being debated, such as certain areas of morality or law. Mainly, a debate should only be about the facts surrounding the argument, and what is provable.

  • Dawkins with his soft voiced and elqouent non emotional delivery , ooohhhh he so angery , lol

  • @jmm1233 totally want that voice to move from arguments to children's audiobooks! how awesomne would little red riding hood be in that voice?

  • Dawkins is short?

  • Ever wonder why true Christians are so happy and have a glow and smile... Its Jesus he is the answer... If you don't have Jesus your world is full with darkness, and misery .. Jesus is the light he gives you a joyous reason for living.. trust me i know-- He gives peace in the midst of my storm. He is a true friend.. I feel sorry for those who reject him- he only came to help and he is so nice that even after you reject him he is willing to give you another chance

  • @jesusANme hes willing to give another chance to accept him? apparently he doesnt since after death you cant accept him according to the bible

  • I look at the world and I'd be angry too.

  • Dawkins IS cute. <3

  • Christians ALWAYS have to play the victims. Why? Because that's what their Bible says, it preaches that they have to suffer. That's why these assholes will always PRETEND to be the ones being attacked because they HAVE to be the victims. It's disgusting, especially since THEY'RE the ones doing the most persecutions. They did it against blacks, they're doing it against gays now. Fucking hypocrites

  • @crusheroftheist Especially considered that Christian have been among the most cruel and hateful individual in the course of history. If we only reflect on the inquisition, we have religious individual who's cruelty and atrocities are beyond the pale. They make the stories of Nazi Germany's treatment of Jews in the concentration camps seem like a holiday at club med! This world would be such a better and more advance and thriving place absent the stupidity of religions. Soon I hope - SOON!

  • They found a crocaduck fossil. lol More ammo to use against anti-evolutionist.

  • these guys are completely right.

religion can't handle being criticized, it has been unquestioned for all these ages, and now they are being questioned and they are assuming its an attackwhen people say "i dont believe in god" they assume you say "stop being a christian"

seriously, christians need to step back and just take the athiest "issue" seriously, Athiests DONT wanna destroy your faith, we just dont believe the same as you!

  • @Mikeybetts I think they take it as an attack because of what it represents. We aren't actively attacking them but its a 'if you're not with us you're against us' type of thing. Atheists deny them battle, and if they do discuss something Atheists are trying to make a point and present facts while religious people are trying to win an argument.

  • @Mikeybetts We also honestly see no reason why we should, and that means we don't see any reason why YOU should either. Therefore, from our point of view, you must be deluded or deceived or just misunderstanding of your own 'experiences' when you assume a God made things happen or made you feel a certain way or experience something in particular.

  • 01:40 oh, that sounded so gay, LOL.

  • Wow! This is 4 years old and not a lot has changed!

  • Why are theists so angry that their 'god' created so many atheists?

  • @OccamsKatana

I am an Atheist, but that's actually not true. It doesn't matter whether somebody calls it an ad hominem, an argumentum ad hominem, an ad hominem attack, or a personal attack. These are all the same thing. Ad hominems are ALWAYS used to discredit character, and in doing so, a fallacy is committed. However, IMO, what's worse is that the truth is diminished. Personally, I avoid ad hominems at all cost because they detract from the end goal, which is identifying the truth.

  • At .14 second mark, Matt Dillahunty looks like 'Bam Bam Bigelo' with that shirt on.

  • To answer the "Angry Atheist" dilemma, let me write the following: the "hurt feelings" card is a good card to use when debating. It makes the opposing side (in this case, the atheist) look like the bad guy and it may possibly silence the atheist debater. If I were accused of such a monstrous crime, I'd answer the following: "If you can't take criticism of your religious beliefs, the you may kindly disappear."

    Problem solved.

  • To many christians, the existence of atheists is considered an "attack" on their faith. I think they prefer things that don't exist. ;)

  • I'd like to point something out here - An Ad Hominem attack is not the same as An Argumentum ad Hominem - An ad hominem attack is simply insulting someone, it is not an attempt to discredit their claim on account of their personality - The argumentum ad hominem however IS an attempt to discredit a claim on account of personality - If you say Evolution isnt true, and I say your a moron. - Thats an insult - If I say your a moron and therefore your wrong, Thats an Argumentum ad hominem

  • Fuck yeah, Sabbath to start off a video!

  • "Crocoduck" lol

  • I am angry. Several things make me angry:

    I. Intolerance.

    II. Stupidity, and

    III. Lies

  • "He stole my bumper sticker..."

  • Wait, we DON'T get assault rifles at Border's? Then who did I buy mine from at the caf'e?

  • I am an angry atheist.

When you fly planes into buildings, burn witches and heretics at the stake, slaughter an entire nationality as revenge for the murder of your god, teach children that they are inherently worthless and in need of salvation only brainwashing can give, give your businesses tax-exempt status, try to usurp the science that makes our society run and gives us our jobs, and molest the children you're supposed to be caring for, we have a problem.

Stop that, and I'll be less angry.

  • @rkyeun only a few times have i seen truer words spoken. you sir have literally won the internet

  • @mymindisfree09

The prize you win for abandoning religion is yourself.

  • @rkyeun So you blame religions and its followers for mistakes that our ancestors made? If you Dad was an Atheist and killed my whole family, was Atheism to blame? Grow up. & Thanks for generalizing all religious people with mistakes of the Dark Ages, when we are in a new day. I'm sure Atheists don't mind being generalized as unhappy, pessimistic, pot smoking, STD carrying, outspoken,adulterers...

  • @OmegaFujin

If you use the Bible as a holy book and still claim it to be truth and morality in any sense or the basis for living your life, then I have perfect standing to blame you for still supporting the mistakes your ancestors made. If you believe finite crimes is deserving of eternal punishment or that an act of human sacrifice grants vicarious redemption , you are immoral.

No, atheists don't care about your ignorant bigoted generalizations. We care about your cult's destructive actions.

  • I think he meant eloquent...lol.

  • I am tired of being polite. Religion thrusts it's garbage in our face on a daily basis. We shouldn't feel obligated to bite our tongues around these deluded prigs.

  • i don't understand village1diot's insertions here about dawkins. i agree with russell: dawkins is very cute! that modest, soft-spoken quality. yes, he's also eloquent, but cuteness and eloquence aren't incompatible and eloquent isn't what russell meant when he said cute.

  • @fromis111 It was a half-ass attempt at being humerus. When a grown man calls another grown man "cute", it's kind of weird.

Did you hear Matt? He immediately said, "He said it!" He wanted to make sure everyone knew Russell said it and not him.

At least I know I am not the only one that thinks it's weird.

  • @village1diot haha, fair enough. i may disagree with you, but you do have dillahunty on your side so....

  • @village1diot English, and in fact all language, is fluid. Cute can mean different things to different people. Cute can even be used to mean mentally keen, clever or shrewd. So who knows?

  • @village1diot Doesn't bother me.

  • @village1diot Aww, you're so cute!

  • @village1diot I take it you don't like Russell, very much? I think Russell said that about what Dawkins said, not necessarily Dawkins himself. It seemed to me that Russell was just saying that what Dawkins said wasn't angry, and instead used wit to express himself.

Also, what exactly is weird about saying what someone said is cute?

Also, if I'm not mistaken, I don't think Matt said "He said it!" right after Russell's "cute" comment.

Please don't take what I said negatively, as I love the vids.

  • I agree with what TasteOfGreen said, and is more in line to what I was trying to get at with what I just said... :)

  • @village1diot i think russell meant cute the way a teddy bear is cute as opposed to cute meaning attractive, lol. i'm sure you knew that.

  • @village1diot Weird? But he's a dead-ringer for Hermione!

  • @fromis111 For an older guy, he's actually pretty damn cute haha

  • @fromis111 .....dumbass.

  • @krypekeeper ......?

  • more media bias trying to imput fear into the people yes lets scare people so they wont even try to discuss there beliefs with non believers out of fear we need to stop letting what the media says scare us into our own little bubble

  • What was that song at the beginning?

  • @progrockcoffee It's "The Sign of the Southern Cross" by Black Sabbath.

  • When have the religious ever had a good track record of "polite debate"? Tell that to the millions who have died in religions name.

  • fellow atheists, we will win the "war". we are smarter, stronger, and our numbers are growing. all we have to do is keep making sence! its the thing that makes theists mad and people on the fence, side with us. just keep pushing the information out there. dont ever give up the "war"!!!!

  • @7glitch I hear ya, though sence is spelled sense. Dunno why that bugs me (shrug).

  • @GermanChocolateCake oh yea! well dunno is spelled don't know! lets start a war! i hate you! no im just kidding. i just drank hella' coffee.... im jittering out my skin!

  • @7glitch Try decaf =P

  • @GermanChocolateCake decaf is actualy regular coffee shit out by baby deers to make it decaff... i just ate pure fucking sugar in a bowl and i been skating all day im going to shit roasted pig fat out my slimey brown fucked up hagard assshole. i need a pretzel... pretzel stick would be nice as well... pretzel stick.

  • Of course we are angry. We are pissed as hell.

  • I'd have been angry because some fucktard foreskin chopper approached me on the street to pester me with fucking idiotic questions like "Why are you so angry?"

  • You know what? I'm an atheist and i AM angry. Part of it is my own issues... but part of it is the continuous stream of theologically based asshole (and worse) behavior. Fuck you and all your religions. I'm sick of women's faces being burned off, doctors being murdered, our children's education retarded, our legal system clogged, and otherwise healthy minds poisoned to death by pathetic fairy tales. This is real motherfucking life, we need all the minds we can get working on the problems.

  • @spikesmth Right on. I agree with you, and yes, I am an angry atheist. In this age of mass communication, there's no excuse for superstitious people believing in the paranoid babblings of ancient desert lunatics. The lazy-mindedness of my fellow humans makes me angry, I guess.

  • I would have to consider myself to be an angry atheist. Im angry that religion has so much influence in our supposed democracy. Im angry that relgious nut jobs are flying planes into buildings and killing doctors just because you disagree with them. Im angry that a lot of the religious seem to think they can tell me and others how I should live my life, who I can love, how I can use my body, and that I should believe in things without evidence. So yeah I am an angry atheist.

  • I just love how a theist can back you against a wall, slap you across the face with their bible and then shove it up your *** all while yelling about what a bad person you are and that's being caring. However, when an atheist says "prove it" they're being hateful and angry. I love double standards.

  • Angry? No. Passionate? Yes.

  • I'm pretty damned sick and tired of seeing "Shockofgod to appear on The Atheist Experience ..." as the Featured Video for pretty much any atheist video I see.

  • @YetAnotherAtheistVid I hear ya. That dishonest retard is on every upload I have.

However, I do get a kick out the view count. I mean that video is the featured video on hundreds, maybe thousands of other videos, and has been for months. Yet it barely has 5,000 views. If it were a good video, with that kind of exposure, it would easily have 50,000 views by now.

  • @village1diot And most of those 5,000 hits were probably hopeful atheists wanting to see Shock make a fool of himself again. LOL

  • @village1diot Wanna see something funny, look how many views that "featured video" has compared to the "normal" videos of The Atheists Experience you've posted.

    Good stuff.

  • @village1diot In Holland if you believe in some religion...you the one who might get a weird look..in america it is the other way around..

  • @Ben1987X That's the way I hope it will be in the future

  • @TheOptimistPrime Well, in twenty years I would expect most of them will not be as angry. The older you get, the more you realize that there is more benefit to remain level headed

And I agree 100% that there is very little independent, intelligent thought out there when it comes to politics. Especially on the right. Politics in this country is a sad thing to look at. You basically have mindless authoritarian thugs on one side, and a bunch of spineless wimps on the other. All controlled by money

  • Religion in it's death throes! Almost pitiful isn't it? Almost...

  • On Dawkins, if you watch his interview with Wendy Wright, you'll see that hes the most patient, soft spoken, understanding and forgiving man on earth?

After just 5 minutes in to the interview, I'm certain that 99% of you will feel like punching that woman in the f'ing face, he remains calm, softspoken and continue's explaining and answering her questions for nearly 1.5 hours!

  • Yes I am so angry. I just have to see god on every dollar hear about him on the campus and see his picture on the side of a building. Am I slightly justified in being tired of it? Then when someone wants to tell you about their imaginary friend can you be justified in telling them to fuck off? Can you be justified in ripping their beliefs a bit? I think so.

  • Atheists are ANGRY. Like those angry atheists who have been going around killing doctors. Or the angry atheist who left that bomb at the olympics a few years ago. Or those atheists who have been molesting catholic boys. Or those atheists who flew planes into the world trade center ........ oh, wait a minute.

  • Great upload, I enjoyed your additions v1

  • Not only that but Dawkins goes on to explain his now famous adjective rant from the book was intended as humorous more than anything.

  • i have a pet crocoduck...i take it for walks through the rainbow forest before i ride off on a winged marshmallow to the sherbet kingdom to take tea with the sugar plum fairy...

  • @SeanathenII Sounds like a great time all around.

  • @JaytheOstrich Tis indeed :3

  • What's wrong with being angry about some of these issues? I think I have every right to be angry that unjustified garbage (read: religion) has hijacked our society and is shaping it by baseless means.

  • I am Atheist, hear me roar.

  • lol. look up 'richard dawkins about the pope' or something along those lines. You will find that dawkins can get pretty pissed at somebody.

  • If an atheist uses crocoduck, then I think we're allowed to use raptor jesus.

  • n1.

  • @YOSHY343 Yes, I share those same feelings. It's a great way for the bullies to oppress us and treat us like second class citizens.

A possible reason that it hasn't gotten to that point already is because we are right, and they know it.

  • @village1diot Actually the reason they say that is because of some atheists who go to theist channels and videos to just insult them and call them retarded for believing on god, as much as we disagree with them we should really cut insults out out the picture we are right and we don't need to stoop to their level.

  • @THADI0US Well, strictly speaking about YouTube, we are talking about a lot of teenagers and young adults that are generally angry anyway. It's no different for any group of people here on youtube. So to say we are angry based on angry YouTube users is kind of silly IMO. I guarantee there are more angry christians on YouTube than atheists.

I watched a video yesterday that shows an angry(and very ironic) christian letting loose. Check it out, this is a must see anyway... watch?v=VubhOsY1PtU

  • @village1diot Well not really, most "christians" don't even bother to look up their beliefs, on the other hand I do see a majority of atheists who just go and post these insult based comments like "fuck your god" or "you are retarded for being a theist" with out actually engaging them in rational debate.

  • @THADI0US That may be true, but still, I would bet that most of them are in their teens or early twenties and are generally angry anyway. And once you realize that you have been lied to for all of those years, one can get angry, and with good reason. I was pissed for a year or two before I finally calmed down.

BTW - I get video/channel comments and personal messages almost on a daily basis like that from christians.

  • @THADI0US That is because after a while you get tired of fucking talking in circles with a religious person, so you give up and call them a moron.

  • @GeneticsFTW Don't you think its wrong to stoop to their level, what about the people who are still making their minds when they see your comment they might get the impression that atheists are douche bags, I think we should take the moral high ground even in the face of ignorance and sometimes insults, if we all do this i think there would be more rational people around, it will show people that atheists can have morals, and that we can polite.

  • @THADI0US "Stoop to their level?" What the hell are you talking about? It's not an insult to call a person stupid, irrational and a whole host of other things when you simultaneously demonstrate why. In fact, ridiculing people for their medieval mindset is a *good* way to recruit. Not the people you ridicule of course, but fundies can't be converted anyway. The point is to make it clear that the fundies are so far removed from reality that they're not worth talking to.

  • @Gnomefro Ad hominem is not a valid argument.

  • @THADI0US And if you seriously feel that you have to show off your morality by politely addressing the points of creationists or muslims - You are a joke. They are not interested in discussing with you. They ask questions with the same motivation as other conspiracy theorists - to distract you from the main issue. That is, that they don't actually have a shred of evidence for their own claims. They will of course keep doing that forever and you will have gotten nowhere.

  • @Gnomefro No it isn't, you would have won the debate, if the creationist can't give you a response and resorts to insults then they lost, and anyways what are you talking about recruiting people?Atheism isnt a religion don't lump us all together we are all very different people with different ideals you can speak for your self,Im just saying that when you start insulting people you end up looking like an asshole, anyways when you demonstrate civility it is to show maturity which you seem to lack.

  • @THADI0US IMO, the proper approach is to use a wedge strategy. Call all "moderates" on their laughable confused theologies and make them choose sides to polarize the debate on a worldwide level. That way it will be much harder for wacko cults to recruit, because they will be so outlandish compared to normal society where stating that you have an invisible friend is no longer normal, but a sign of mental illness. It will also be easier to deal with the crazies through law or military action.

  • @Gnomefro Military action?!?! are you nut's?!?! people should be allowed to believe in god, and god is a possibility maybe not the christian god, but a god nonetheless, are you so closed minded that you would take military action against theists if you could?!?!

You are guilty of the same type of zealotry you claim to be a against.

  • @THADI0US

    Why quotation marks around Christians?

  • @mistacramer Because most of the people who call themselves christians don't really believe the things that would constitute an actual christian.

  • @THADI0US

A person believing in Christianity is what constitutes a Christian. So, most people who self describe themselves as Christians do not actually believe? Or do you wish for only the nicest and most admirable Christians to constitute Christians? The old True Scotsman trick? Frankly, the question of Christianity's falseness or truth and morality or immorality is irrelevant to the personalities and actions of its followers. What it advocates for and claims to be true is salient.

  • @THADI0US

I reread your comment and see that I misjudged it...What do most self described Christians lack belief in that is in Christianity?

  • @mistacramer Well for starters most dont follow the tenants of christianity,I know plenty of gay christians how that works I will never know. where I used to work I was surrounded by hypochristians who stole, lied and gossiped. I was constantly being harassed and judged for my atheism, some of them had abortions, two even went as far as assaulting me and robbing the store they worked in and yes its as bad as it sounds and this is only from my work experience.

Our prisons are filled with theists

  • @village1diot Oh wow jajaj, you know us gay, liberal abortionist, evolutionist atheists.

  • @THADI0US lol, good point. I will never understand why they can be angry. It's probably more of a defensive mechanism than anything else.

  • Oh I LOVE that quote from Dawkin's "The God Delusion"! It is so incredibly eloquent that I have to stand in awe of it! Thank you so much village1diot for including his reading of that quote and, also, that very nice clip from George Carlin! I love that you keep posting these videos! Keep doing what you're doing! :D

  • Never heard of the Croco-duck. Hilarious.

  • @delta51

You sir, have missed out greatly. look up the rational response squad vs kirk for a video its priceless.

  • great video. Im not stocking your channel...im just an insomniac.

  • WoHoW !!! :P
