I think it's terrific you & the childrens chorus singing to this pop favorite from the mid-seventies. It's not a childrens song but i was surprized to hear you & the children singing it. I tuned it in out of interest. I got to this site unexpectedly and then looked further & noticed Drift Away, so i clicked on. I may go on to check on others, particularly r&r classics from yesteryear. To hear kids singing pop goes the weasil, dosen't interest me.  From Vancouver Cda i'll say thanks to all!

You have to be one the best music teachers out there. You do so much for these kids, keeps them on the right track as well. God did real good when he brought you into this world. He brought someone that can make a child see their talents, share it with others, entertain so many over the world, and most of all have fun doing it too. I would love to have this playing one day as my morning music. Just curious, are the kids singing two parts? Do you rehearse them separately?

yes, they are singing in 2 parts, and no, we rehearse together. it's always tricky toward the beginning, but at this point in the year, harmony comes pretty naturally for them and they can learn songs to perfection in 1 or 2 practices. they're pretty amazing considering how hold they are. (or even not considering it!) :)
