  • I haven't gotten this method to work yet, but I'll keep trying.

  • I really like this style! It's so nice and shiny.

  • wow this is awesome

  • Cute coils - good job :)

  • Thank you so much for generating a site that I can actually relate to. I have been watching a large variety of YouTube videos to get some help with my hair and YOURS by far is the BEST!!! So, I just subscribed!!! Keep up the excellent job that you are doing and stay blessed!!!

  • thanks for the video..very very helpful!!!

  • hi. new subscriber here. thanks for the video. :)

  • I had no idea I could do this to my hair! Thanks for the demo!

  • your hair looks really nice!!! I notice how you sound nervous in the begining, but great job explaining the style. I think I will try this on my hair, but my hair is not as thick. I hope my turn out beautiful like yours.

  • very helpful. thnk :)

  • Thank you so much. I can't wait to take my braids down and try this. I will check back for updates about your progress. You are very inspirational. Appreciate ya!

  • BEAUTIFUL! How long does your coils last? I am going to try this technique, I have 4b hair however, after three day braiding my hair is straightens out. I would love to rock ths style. How do you maintain it at night? inquiriy minds want to know. :-)

  • @finenfabulouscious this style last about 5 days. I just sleep on a satin pillowcase. I no longer use conventional gels anymore. I prefer braid outs now

  • looks pretty time consuming, how long does it take?

  • great video!! =]

  • Your hair looks nice. How long does it take u to do this style?

  • That technique looks like something that will work for me, thanks. I will be trying it!

  • Thanks for sharing this video! I recently cut off all my relaxed hair, and I want to try this style!

  • I will try this maybe saturday. I have 3c,4a and 4b in that order going from my sides and crown back to the nape of my kneck. I just found a gel by Garnier that is only available in Mexico, so I bought a couple of jars. I am going to try your method with this gel and my conditioner.

  • how long have u been natural

  • @yala54 For about a year and 5 months

  • it never leaves a film on my hair when I use the Fantasia gel, but I use Eco more often. I also clarify my hair once a month to prevent buildup

  • aww, you see like such a nice person. :):). That style looks great and looks great on you. I'm 4b too, but the back of my hair is looser, so more 4a. I;ve never used the ic fantasia gel before, so it doesn't leave any film on the air? That's the main reason i stay away from gels, but i'm trying to get my coils to pop more, since i have practically no curls.

  • Thank you so much - this was very clear and easy to follow. I think we have the same hair type, so i found this very helpful and will give it a try. I have the IC fantasia gel, the clear one it has a lighter hold - but i'll give it a go.

  • That is super cute.

  • GREAT tutorial!!! Okay, how long did this take you?? I'm nervous...lol

  • @BrownFaceTV this style usually last me about a week.

  • Such an excellent teacher....

  • I love it!!! I with MichelleShell20 will definitely try this Friday.

  • I'd love to see your results. I'm currently doing this to my hair right now! I am using the Knot Today leave-in by Kinky-Curly instead and it looks good so far!

  • Great video!!! I think you should add if you are protein sensitive that you probably shouldnt use Smooth As Silk as your conditioner.

  • You can use any conditioner of your choice that isn't heavy. The Smooth as Silk is just the conditioner that I used this time around. I plan on using Knot Today by Kinky-Curly next time around.

  • The video is sooo helpful, and I looove this style! I typically do my experimenting on Fridays; so, I'll be trying it tomorrow!

  • Wish this worked with me... my hair just laughs at gel while doin the MC Hammer dance " Can't touch THIS!!' *sigh* lol

Ur style is cute and u seem to be feeling better too!!

  • hmmm, try curl activator gel. thats what i used for a style very similar to this and i believe my hair is 4b/c. instead of coiling my hair i twisted it and then took out the twists in the morn. turned out great

  • ***** I'm going to try it this way tomorrow!! I never thought about using conditioner & then gel =) thanks for sharing!!

  • Very cute! Can you post a picture of the style after it has dried?

  • The pictures at the end of the video are when the style has dried.

  • Also my hair is dry at the beginning of the video as well.

  • This hair typing 4a/4b/4c stuff is not even worth its trouble...hair is cute though.

  • I agree. I just use the hair typing system so women with that hair type would know what techniques may or may not work best for them to achieve a certain look. Other than that it's not that important to me either.

  • Very pretty! Are you feeling any better. I hope so!

  • awesome!!!!

  • I'm lovin' the hair...

  • Very nice. thank you!
