Since other scholors have found similar codes in other books I believe everyone is over looking the obvious. I believe a supreme power or force in the universe would send the codes through "ALL" sources and not just religious books like the torah and the bible. This seems obvious to me. This would also be proof that there is a REAL influence flowing through the universe that could be called God and/or a supreme powerful force that direct all that is !

THe "stepdad" thing is a christian paradigm, wether fundamentalists or catholics made it up , i don't know. Joseph was never a step dad but the real dad. I looked up the name Jesse in several Hebrew dictionaries and the all say, "A gift or gift from God" not "is here" as stated in this video. The problem with all of these hidden codes is that they require a huge amount of human interpretation. Luke followed a separate line leading to Jesus, but the Names Bible Code follows the line through Solomon as according the Gospel of Matthew.

One can remove the spaces in the Hebrew bible between words and create the same negative examples, yet this does not mean that the true reading is in doubt.

I thought that there were more occurrences of people with multiple names, but as it turns out there were only 6 people with more than one name. (Jehoiachin went by three names.) Also, some names have more than one meaning.
"Matthew has 60 names from Adam to Jesus if we complete it back to Adam, and 65 if the extra 4 or 5 names are added that Matthew purposely left out... Some individuals had more than one name and these also are included in the code."
So, there are about 65 individuals and 80 unique names in Jesus ancestry, "80" because we include all known multiple names of the SAME person, in proper chronological order. E.g., Jacob was also named Israel.

Since other scholors have found similar codes in other books I believe everyone is over looking the obvious. I believe a supreme power or force in the universe would send the codes through "ALL" sources and not just religious books like the torah and the bible. This seems obvious to me. THe "stepdad" thing is a christian paradigm, wether fundamentalists or catholics made it up , i don't know. Joseph was never a step dad but the real dad. However, he couldn't participate in concieving because man was cursed in the Garden Of Eden. Jesus had to be born sin free to be a perfect sacrifice. The Holy Spirit had to intervene. The woman was not cursed in the G.O.E, she was punished. Joseph would have contaminated Jesus with the original sin. So no sex, but still fatherhood and lineage.

I looked up the name Jesse in several Hebrew dictionaries and the all say, "A gift or gift from God" not "is here" as stated in this video. The problem with all of these hidden codes is that they require a huge amount of human interpretation. Why?
This word for gift, here, is "Seh" in Hebrew. It carries the idea of a gift by tribute by an underling. Now, it is possible it could mean "Gift of Yah", but this is not accepted by the majority of scholars. But, after reviewing it further, I will include it in my notes.
Perhaps the code incorporates both meanings, and enhances it, O' ye of little faith!

@4YHVHdaughter Joseph was the legal father of Jesus, and so the code is correct. If you have a problem with that then fault Matthew's genealogy, not the code, since it is based upon Matthew's genealogy. It is not the code you are trying to discredit, but Matthew.
Luke followed a separate line leading to Jesus, but the Names Bible Code follows the line through Solomon as according the Gospel of Matthew.

One can remove the spaces in the Hebrew bible between words and create the same negative examples, yet this does not mean that the true reading is in doubt.

If there was a real code in the Bible which could be used to track down peoples´names , the code would be available publicly in the entire world.
If Michael Drosnin didn´t invent it , then it´s most probably genuine.
If it is , then why is it that only he and a few other scholars can use it to track down nouns and any verb which has a noun? If the code is so almighty and all powerful why all the fuss?

@mzedong001 Michael Drosnin is not the originator of these codes, and as a matter of fact, i am very skeptical of him too, as he is unsure if God even inspired the bible, but suggests the possibility of aliens instead!
But one rotten apple does not make the whole phenomenon false. Such reasoning would lead us to cast out all knowledge if we were to follow your line of reasoning. Many new truths are first rejected when they first arrive on the scene , and are considered difficult to understand.

I am becoming extremely skeptical that there is some kind of code in the Bible which you can use to find your own name.
This legendary code has been talked about so much that it has appearently become just another urban legend.
Until a website becomes available which can enable people to have easy access to this code I have to conclude it´s probably Michael Drosnin´s own idea and that of a few other scholars.

@attorneyskillforjews You encouraged me to go back and obtain an exact count of names. So the "80" names was not correct. There are exactly 65 individuals and 72 unique names in Jesus ancestry, "72" because we include all known multiple names of the SAME person.
I thought that there were more occurrences of people with multiple names, but as it turns out there were only 6 people with more than one name. (Jehoiachin went by three names.) Also, some names have more than one meaning.

So, there are about 65 individuals and 80 unique names in Jesus ancestry, "80" because we include all known multiple names of the SAME person, in proper chronological order. E.g., Jacob was also named Israel.

Find me some other genealogy of length that does the same thing and then I will believe you. But here we have about 70 names flowing together in meaning, with the first 30 names forming an acrostic as well, using the first letter of each name in the order given in the bible. The real miracle is that no one noticed it before.
