  • Awesome!!!!

  • What is this multi-tool you have there? Where did you get it??

  • This is a top video! Very informative and helpful, could you tell me if you are using a right or left handed carving jack? I have been using only one knife and i think its time for an upgrade.

  • what wood is that :)

  • l like your tool, where did you get?

  • lots of info, thank you. where can i get kits? if you could direct me somewhere, that wouldbe great, thanks

  • Thank you so much I originally carved soap because it is so soft but now that I carve wood it is a lot more interesting thank you for the great videos!

  • Fantastic Video! I bought a decent set of tools and used this as my first project. I have a small camping group of friends and family. With the help of your video, and three of my nephews carved woodspirits. One of my nephews had some carving experience, the rest of us had none. I was astonished by how well they turned out. I will send you pictures if you are interested. Thank you very much for the video!

  • Dave would you reccomend thi stool for sculpting a piece on a tree?

  • what kinda wood do you use in this?

  • I really like the looks of that knife!

  • Thanks for the great instructions :-) Joe

  • What kind of wood is? lime?

  • i cant get a clean nice easy cut like u, why?

  • You are like the Bob Ross of woodcarving. Thank you.

  • Wery expensive knife 79$ but in EU the same price but in euro's 79EUR. It's too expensive for hobby. For me! I had a couple traditional pocket knives, which I use for carving, they cost max 20$ But I'm not a profesional in carving. I just start my hobby last year. Ofcours you are professional and you need a professional tools. I saw your videos about carving and your works are werry good! I hope after couple years I will carv mutch better than today! Excuse me for my bad english! :)

  • I don't think my pocket knife will work...i just tried and messed up a block of wood =P haha. How do you do the left side? it's awkward for me to do it. the right side looked fine but man i mangled the left side...

  • i tried to carve along, and failed miserabley, dont use cheap boxcutters to try and carve wood, you just end up cut, well, im adding that to the list of things to buy, wood carving knife. then im gonna try again. good tutorial though, really good, makes me want to carve dosens of these (when and if i can) then just leave them everywhere, on the bus, in the park, tied to fenceposts, in peoples mailboxes.

  • Your calm voice and simple instructions are a boon for a visual learner like me. I've got a year of sporadic whittling experience and some great teachers. However, the only way I "get it" is to listen, see and repeat over and over. Thank you so much for your YouTube" instructions! I've modified your simple fellow with some other elements I've seen. Two WoodsSpirits were born of the basswood I have in my hand and it feels great!

  • Brilliant video - very informative and inspiring - I shall go and have a try today!!. You are clearly a born teacher!

  • great tut..

  • I'm using the Carvin' Jack made by Flexcut. It's a fairly complete carving set all in the form of a pocketknife making it very convenient to carve far back in the woods, like where I filmed this video.
