@MrDesmond133 wrong dont listen 2 that guy the guy in the hood is the wanderer who is actually diablo is disguise. You see in the first game you the player defeat diablo by merging his soulstone into your head but over time you get corrupted and become the dark wanderer then in diablo 2 u play as another dude, and as for the kings elder son being corrupted,he was captured by diablos lacky in the first game and brought 2 diablo in his spirit form the became the vessel for diablo 2 become physical

diablo 2 lores is one of the best i was ever given to experienced. marius telling the whole history to actually the wanderer and not Tyrael. In fact Tyrael gave to marius the mission of bringing the soul stone of baal to the hell forge to destroy it, but he never did it. in the end he give the soul stone to the dark wanderer thinking it was tyrael n burn in flames in his room as diablo went away with the stone. EPICness to an untrue level :)

@FenderRox The Dark Wanderer was Diablo, so you didn't fail. While this video do show what Marius thinks is Tyriel (really Bhaal) the Dark Wanderer who Marius follows and who the player meets in Kurast was Diablo, as shown in the act 3 ending cinematic.

I remember this game when it came out. My Uncle who was really really into games at the time had it. I was only 8 or so but it looked pretty cool and the amount of time I saw him spend on the game showed me he thought it was pretty good.

@ToAToiletdiver i was just in bed, thinking about that - which movie has ever came close to diablo - realised that none has and none will. diablo is just so unique - it's just too dark and gothic for modern style of flashy movies with no substance. i remember when i was 8 and played the first diablo - the shit scared the good out of me. i have nightmares ever since ;)

I never played diablo, i might have to get them. This cutscene is amazing and the voice acting is brilliant, so impressive considering how old it is.

Also, because Diablo III has been announced for '11, this game is not obsolete. This game stills very funny and maybe one of the best game in his kind.

@Trubadidudei problem is it's not gonna be north anymore - all the guys who made the first 2 games are gone and even uelmen - the guy who composed the music - is gone. i think diablo 3 will be for kids - nice effects and colours and all fun - the dark, creepy atmosphere will be gone. they won't be able to reproduce diablo 1 and 2

I just started playing Diablo II and I saw this video and I don't know if I am supposed to know yet, but... Who is the guy that came into the cell looking for the prisoner? And do we know what was 'not the fault' of the prisoner?

If I will find out soon enough in the game, I'll be patient, but if not can someone let me know?

@Heptron Well, if you hurry and finish the Acts you will unlock the Cinematics between them, Cinematics told from Marius's perspective (memories from the times travelling with the Wanderer)

To be honest, I'm very tempted to spoil (I, for one, enjoy spoilers) but... it would be a pity finding out so soon.

Enjoy your D2 game... and be warned that after you finish the Normal difficulty, you will unlock the Nightmare and then Hell difficulty... which are as tough as they go...
