@phaneenrix Reportedly, if you don't use the ticker (minimize it and never use it) Facebook suggested they'll turn it off- just for your profile. Everyone else would still have theirs.
The FB ticker is annoying to me since I may be subscribed to some conservative websites and occasionally they post stories that may send me in a tailspin. Therefore I installed the news ticker removal plug-in and poof! No more news ticker!
well i hate that ticker, because people watch what i do step by step and it annoys me! i was really hoping to find a way to stop showing to ALL my contacts what i do every time. but nice info though... thanks mike :
Nice. Question though. I don't mind the ticker, but I want to hide myself and all the things I do on there. I don't want one of my friends to see that I "liked" something on someones page that they don't even know! Bottom line, I don't want to be on the ticker. ....Any idea of how to do so?
@JoeBird76 dude the normal facebook page does that...
what facebook is doing is not increasing the social interactions on the site but in fact only showing blocked information to every single friend that you have on facebook, maybe for you it doesn't matter much, but for many people like me that cares about privacy, it really matters
