There's fake MAC Fluidlines out there. Their base is petroleum jelly which smudges and goes all over the lid if no eyeshadow is put on top. Real MAC Fluidline is silicone based.

Try MAC Fluidline or Maybelline Ultra Liner Waterproof. They're both have very good staying power.

I must have gotten a fake mac fluidline liner because the 1 I have I refuse to use it ever again. Not even an hour after applying it, it was all over my lid. It was awful. I'm glad I decided not to go out that night because I was pissed!!!

oh could you really put it on your upper waterline?

It's not exactly the waterline. It's the space between your lashes. I find lining eyes with smaller creases (under 1cm big) like this gives natural definition to the eyes.
