I'm havin trouble getting power to get up curbs and stuff I'm running a traxxas power cell 7 cell battery with a Novak 45 turn and rooster crawler esc my charger is an onyx 235
Im using 2s lipo's i use a 2s2p40c lipo, 35t brushless crawler setup from speed passion is a brutaly slow but epicly torquey beast for relativly good money for the electronics spektrum dx3c is more than good enough for full dig controll aswell, best easy upgrade... HOT BODIES/HPI ROVER EX (pink compound) best tyres for most rocks unless its wet are alot better than the standard tyres!
So when you buy this thing its ready to crawl?? or what do i have to get? im wondering cause i just bought one thinking there ready to go out the box but im reading i need some stuff. . . Please anyone let me know
i was wondering if you could like make a cart on the website that has everything needed for the truck and then give me the link cause i am just starting this hobbie and dont really know what i need so if you could put all the stuff needed into a cart and give me the link that would be so hepfull and thanks if you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@HorizonRCdotCom Can you use a Spektrum dx8 with it? I am a helicopter guy just getting interested in crawlers and I am not ready to invest in a new radio.
@qntt2002 You would need to use air receivers but technically yes. The main thing is you won't have the throttle springs on the left stick so you'll have a hard time getting in neutral.
@jacobtraxxasman We've never said you have to use a brushless system, simply provided that info as an option. If you check out our website we have a Comp Crawler completion article where we reference some less expensive brushed options too.
If you look under the "More Info" section of the video there's a link right to the product page on the Horizon Hobby Website. There's a suggested setup section on there.
I,m planning to buy the Comp Crawler but people's feed back in the Forums is a bit Scarry as the Problems they generally talk about the Comp Crawlers such as CVD's or Opening the CVD & checking & Greasing it, but why when it's New & also the Worm Gear, I,m a lot Confused, Could U give Extra Details on Matters such as these. Plz Help cause I Live in Pakistan & I,l be getting this from USA so as I have No LHS here It would be difficult for the Support.
I would check out the forums on the Losi site specifically addressing these issues. I've spoken to Rich Trujillo, the lead designer of the Comp Crawler, regarding the CV issue and he assures me they have it fixed.
Ok thanks. What battery does it use eg saddle or stick packs.
Just want to know because im thinking of getting into this part of the hobby and i have 500 euro to spend on truck and this look to be the best out there.
Is it possible to shorten the wheelbase to 28.7 cm (11.3 inch) instead of the stock 31.2 cm (12.3 inch) wheelbase? I want to use it as a base for my F-350 crawler but the wheelbase is too long...
If you already had a radio and battery it'll be close. You can get the Comp Crawler for $284.99 on the Horizon Hobby Site and a Losi Xcelorin Crawler Brushless System (LOSB9585) for $224.99. This is just over your $500 mark and you still need servos and a battery. I think for under $600 yes, you could.
You don't need brushless. A 55T brushed motor will keep you plenty happy. The worm gears remove the need for an esc with drag brake so just about any esc will work. I would add a decent metal gear high torque servo and then whatever radio you can afford. Should be around $500 especially if you use a cheap tx/rx combo or already have one.
The Losi 1/10-scale Desert Truck and the 1/10-Scale Slider are both fast out of the box and pretty budget friendly too. We have videos of both here on the site.
Unless folks share specifics nothing can get passed onto the team to see if there is an issue. I'll give this a little more time but if there aren't specific examples this adds nothing to the discussion and will be removed.
What specifically? Have you or your friend spoken to Losi Product support?? I know they did a ton of testing on this truck before it was released, I'd be shocked if it was fragile.
Hmmm, I posted a reply yesterday but I guess YouTube blocked it because I had a URL/E-mail address in it. If you are having an issue e-mail us at the address under the "More Info" section. We'll try to help anyway we can.
I've heard that losi is going to discontinue the LCC soon is that true? Thanks

@rcwinner1 Yes, especially since it comes out of the box preassembled for you.

what tip of remote do u need for the dig and do u have to put a brushless systems in the truck and do u have to a lipo on to
1120691 1 year ago
@1120691 Something like the DX3S would work well. You do not have to use a LiPo or brushless but many do.

wats the top speed of it?
jwd000 2 years ago
Very low, but it all depends on what motor and gearing you use. Crawlers are designed to go over things, rarely is top speed ever hit or needed.

Can U tell Me some Very Reliable & Cost effective Setup for it Plz & how to install Futaba 4pk in it. Do I need a BEC for the Receiver R604FS or not?

Can i use the dig with a Spektrum DX3S V2 3CH?
OXO046 2 years ago
I'm pretty sure you should be able to. I don't think the 3rd channel operates any differently on the DX3S as the DX3R and I know that works.

55t is way too slow for the gear reduction in the worms
35t would be a muh more resonable motor bet even then its a little slow to some
if you're willing to drop some coin i'd go w/ a 7t cobolt puller. not too sure if there is enough room for it though
