Don't know the exact facts here and from allot of the other comments I doubt many others know except what is shown in the news. But I heard that BA staff offered a pay cut to avoid redundancy's-This shows a willing to compromise and surely BA can work from here! People saying the crew want more! I am not sure this is based on any fact. I think they just want to avoid job loss by making other cost saving cuts

the unite union is a bad institution stuck in the 70's and 80's, all ba are doign is cutting 1 staff member rom a quota of 15 and for new employees they are givign them new contracts which is at a lower level. so alot of the ppl on existing pay wont lose out

Has BA cabin crew not stopped to think what jobs they could do if BA collapse into financial ruin? There aint no 13000 jobs going on other airlines and if there was they wouldnt get the same salary. Be realistic and save now for the furure. Im a trained fire warden and 1st aider. I on my feet 8 hrs a day looking after customers, I get 17K a year with no staff benifits. Is it that they serve food that makse cabin so well paid?

For those of you who didnt see the ITN news and Alistair Stewarts interview with Walsh, there was more to that interview that was cut from the news when it was posted on the internet. Stewart asked Walsh if he was trying to break the union. Walsh answered "Yes". Why has ITN cut this from its internet video of the interview? Can someone explain that to me?
