  • It's a good luxury item. Unlike the Dyson vacuum cleaners, I just don't think the price is justified.

  • Nothing about THE universal complaint about the Dyson fans/heaters after the price: noise.

Any review of a fan should include a noise segment. You had a conventional fan and a Dyson side-by-side. Why not put a mike in front of them and let us hear them?

  • what has the world come too when people want a fan for a conversational peice...

  • Wait for a couple of month and you will get this fan for $30. Made in China.

  • @fackboogeyman sorry to tell you that this has been out for a very long time. I would have expected that a 'copy' would have been released by now. Having worked for the company that does the Dyson IP Litigation, I would find it unlikely that there will be any direct copy released into Dyson's primary markets (where the IP is 'easy' to protect). I haven't seen their patent applications for this (publicly available) but I would assume it is reasonably tight.

  • @ehtkhr engadget dot com/2010/09/06/keepin-it-real-fake-dysons-air-multiplier-gets-ripped-off-mu/

  • @pasmado75 I stand corrected.....:-)

  • Feels like plastic

    Looks like plastic

    Guess what ITS PLASTIC

  • energy efficiant my asss thats a whole lot of money fo a fan

  • You wanna know another con to this air multiplier? You can't sound like a robot while talking through it! Where's the fun in that?!

  • Yay, let's all buy 500 dollar desk fans!

  • @supersaxophone1 *300

  • Hmm now my cat can get through it without splicing its guts...

  • If this doesn't make my voice sound like C3PO's, then no thanks, haha.

  • i chose original 5 dollar china fan

  • Dyson Air Multiplier? Comparing with a smaller conventional fan? Where is the multiplication?

  • I'd use this thing to shoot paper airplanes :D

  • its too loud.... its too loud... its too louuuud

  • you have terrible grammer.

  • @VigilantRESOLVE1 Grammar*

  • @VigilantRESOLVE1 grammar* lol

  • $270 more and when you talk into if your don't even don't like a robot, how lame is that.

  • That fan is in Pc World/Currys it is rubbish you don't get any air, You are better of getting a normal fan.

  • Yay a lot easier to clean, now my cat wont get blood in it

  • Love it!

  • Easier to clean? Who cleans the fan?

  • So that's how it works. Saw this in Kohls the other day and my friends and I couldn't figure it out. Still though, I don't have $300 to spend on a fan. If I were a very wealthy man, then it would be a different story.

  • @Jammin360 I don't think even the wealthiest of people would spend $300 on what is, in essence, a fan. Ridiculous if you ask me.

  • dealextreme dot (0m /p/modern-safe-lightweight-2-mode-bladeless-fan-black-92097

    go crazy

  • Comment removed

  • Guy, you use TERRIBLE grammar.

  • @J4YDG Not really.

  • The same fan was made 20 years ago in Japan. They had troubles with launching this product, because that product was patented. So they thought of some alternative (I don't really know which)

  • The iPhone of fans.

  • $300 for a fan. Since when did apple make fans.

  • @MrLegodude1234567890 its not apple, it has more than one button

  • @MrLegodude1234567890 not funny, extremely stupid.

  • i tried to pause the video and literally went "NOOOO!!!!"

    Cool fan :D

  • He has monoply on this that's why the high price. I'm sure when Dyson made his money on this he will sure to license this patent to other fan manufactuers like what he did to his vacuum cleaner.

  • why not buy a 300 dollar A.C

  • @N3WxB0YxCHRiS

The cost of RUNNING an A.C is a lot more expensive then a the electricity used to power a fan, even a $300 dollar one.

  • @haveaboat u can buy a cheap a.c and use the fan mode dumbass

  • so a device made to replace fan blades... runs on fans blades?

  • this stuff is the shit

  • Im just wondering.. how the hell do you afford all this shit you use to review????

  • just get air conditioning

  • all i really care is air and lots of it and who gives a shit if its choppy or comes in chunks. i am a person not a aircraft

  • Why buy an air conditioner when you can spend $300.00 on a fan!

  • I'm not a fan.

  • @burrchanburr HA!! puns! XD

  • It's fun to put balloons through it... for 5 min

  • Can't make robot voice with it. I no like anymore

  • Don't you hate it when fans chops your air?! It's terrible... I rather pay $300 dollars for non-chopped air rather than $20 for a regular blade-less fan!!

  • @NinjaMonkey998 cudnt agree more

  • This is a new start for helicopters.

  • Witchcraft 0.0

  • will it blend X)

  • mi pene es mi último weopen

  • For that price you should at least be able to fly the damn thing!

  • lol i would come up with tons of bullshit too if i spent that much money on a fan. fuck its like the mac of the fan world.

  • or you could not buy this and go buy a god damn air conditioning unit for half the price

  • @foxmask1992 really tho they need to lower the dam price who in the right mind will buy it unless they got spare money

  • @Farbeyondwasted54

lol you can even buy a mini air conditioner for less

  • @foxmask1992 + the monthly bill, I don't think so.

  • i can feel it from here

  • "adjustable dial to-" *jet engine starts*

  • Its kinda noisy and the blades are in the base. So its not "blade-less". Hiding the blades doesn't substitute for "Blade-Less".. lmao.

  • This review and demo was just what I needed. Off to Home Depot to get the old reliable. Thanks so much.

  • but is it quiet? and, will it blend?

  • @stockmarket101 it should be quiet..a lot of the sound coming from conventional fans are from the blades and the vortex it creates.

  • @stockmarket101 seriously, the blend joke is just fucking retarded.

  • @stockmarket101 its about as loud as a normal fan

  • Wow you actually paid $300 for that? Just get central air-conditioning...

  • Ummm... WTF?!? I'm not gonna pay 300$ on a fan that "looks good" I know how to use a damn AC!

  • @UnboltedDRIVEN Exactly. Only a douche bag would pay for this.

  • Is It On

  • if you can spend $300 on a fan, you can live in a residence that is able to maintain a comfortable temp... who uses a desk lamps anymore anyway?

  • you just masturbated youself with the kleenex thats why it sticks lol :)

  • no more bufeting you just get a fucking loud ass noise

  • easy to clean? wtf. its pretty damn hard to clean coz air goes inside of that machine!

  • everyday im bufferin'

  • Does it blow very hard?

  • @psptechnologypsp Not really. I tried it at best buy. It's a breeze.

  • I rather get a air condit..........dam danyboy 87 beat me to that comment

  • I think I would rather a an Air Conditioner for that price

  • At first I was like "I want one :D" then you said it was $300 and I was like "no freaking way I'd ever pay that much for a fan"

  • God damn, quit saying "more ____er" it is so redundant! Please take the time to just proofread your script and what you are saying. You will come across as intelligent and people will be more likely to listen to what you have to say.

  • Stupid... No one would pay that much for a fuckin fan... "air multiplier" wuteverrr... I would pay 50 for it at max... Not fuckin 300... u could get a iPod touch 4G 32G ... or a cheep laptop..... Or a cell phone or anything else under 300 ... but seriously u would be a total dumbass to blow 300 on a god dam fan.

  • nobody wants to follow you on twitter

  • work on your grammar, chilla frilla

  • Shit for 300 bucks i could buy like 80 regular fans a pepsi and some cheetos and be maxin and relaxin in a nice windy room! fuck that shit

  • hmm, if only I could have the whole window frame made out of that. Cool the whole room. Might be a little pricey.

  • for 300.00 dollars you could buy a really nice (large sized) room air conditioner that would cool the whole room 10x better, 100x faster and wouldnt cost that much more to operate. of course if you got 300.00 to spend for a fan, you probably got enough to pay the electric bill anyway.

  • @bk2158 you got that rite

  • I'll stick to my Vornado/

  • I want someone to make a 120mm PC fan version of this...would make for some sick ideas in case modding.

  • cool piece of fan for a $300.00 cost O_o

  • There's a girl in my school who's spoiled rotten and the day this thing came out she got it and posted pics of her with it on facebook... God she's such a bitch, her parents buy her anything she wants... Trust me I know she goes around bragging about it all the time >:(

  • @wendy5640 Don't worry. She will end up an expensive prostitute untill she finds a pimp that takes all her money and beats her senseless. Either that or she will end up a trophy wife that fills the void in her life with numerous affairs untill the guy kicks her aside for a newer and younger piece of poon. That how it go.

  • @wendy5640 funny shit

  • I ain't paying that much foe no fan. That is crazy!!

  • are you rich or somthing?

  • Yes, it is very good, but there is nowhere to tie bits of paper :D

  • I would rather buy 30 small desk fan and sit in front of all them going a ounce :D

  • lol it didnt look like it sucked the tissue through. He just threw it.

  • yeah, but since its a ' Desk/Office ' fan, then wouldnt it suck all your papers in ? ;)

  • A $300 conversation piece??? Here's how that conversation goes. "You paid 300 bucks for a fan?" "You dumbass!"

  • @borri68 youtube paid it dumbass

  • @borri68 LOL, so true!

  • @borri68 Duuuh you dumbass is not a fan, it's an air multiplier!!! Lol

  • @borri68 I'll go to walmart and get a fan for $20.

  • @borri68 Lmao thats exactly what I was thinking

  • @borri68 it's bladeless fan moron. it's innovation and more expensive to produce.

  • @zorandesign If you honestly believe the price represents the costs you..... well lets just say those that live in glass houses should not throw stones.

  • It's round and blows air... Dip it in soapy water and make bubbles!! :D

  • shit it's loud, i don't want a jet plane in my house

  • Maybe they can make bitches that are quieter and more efficient with their mouths .. lol 300 for a fan? That shit better be asking for autographs

  • Is it any quieter than a conventional desk fan?

    Bob

  • So... for 300 bucks...

Why the hell buy a fan?!

Save fifty bucks and buy an air conditioner!

  • isn there just a ring of air not a complete cylinder?

  • @meetsouder yeap, its retarded

  • Fail troll is fail.

I hate when people add that little "like my video and subscribe" shit the end of a vid...... Talk about pathetic..... God dam people...

  • What are they gonna make now a line of blenders?

  • No, it is not easier to clean the Dyson - you'd have to open the unit and clean the inside as well.

Comparing the Dyson to a desk fan of equal watts, the desk fan will win hands down - this is because the Dyson goes through a lot of resistance forcing air through the narrow slit. Also, the dyson offers a smoother output simply because of higher rpm. The same efffect can be achieved with a table fan of higher RPM. You don't really need smooth flow, you're not going to sweat between air pulses.

  • this shit would be perfect for my little home music studio cause my basement is hot as balls and the noise of a fan bleeds into the microphones, and also for listening back to editing your tracks its always good to have no backround noise

  • @DaveChorowskiMusic actually fuck that apparantly its not any quieter

  • This gut is so annoying. Where did he learn to speak? A lot more safer... a bit more cooler... a bit more smoother... a bit more choppier! Did he really think that sounded right? Also the whole time it sounded like someone was pinching his nose. If you want to be a reviewer a think you should be able to speak proper english.

  • can you tell me where you got that chair? i recently bought a Lorell 86000 Series Executive Mesh Back Chair from amazon that looks similar to yours but without the headrest. i want it.

  • I'll wait for a few years maybe 10 and wait till it gets down under $90

  • what should i buy a ps3 or that fan?

  • @hoboking14 a ps3

  • Guys! It's 2011 don't you see we are going threw an era of advancing our technology's capabilities and pushing our ideas to the limit!

  • Wait so where do they sell that air multiplier? because it gat my attention

  • What was the problem with a normal fan again? oh that damn air hitting you in the face right?

  • Dyson ... creating problems and solving them since 1969

  • Kid: Mom , why that donut looks like metal?

    Mom: ...

  • He say's, it feels like it puts out "Cooler Air" ...?

  • @ziggy72170 Your doctor will be happy to know that your ears are working!

  • @ziggy72170 Yes, searing insight, eh?

  • How can a fan review be objective?

  • f%^k.. i clicked the video to play it -_-

  • Why is it "obvious" that it will use less electricity than a conventional fan? And of course it feels "plasticy!" Like Dyson vacuums, it is made of high-quality plastic. Why do you presume the plastic isn't just as good or better than metal? Many things are made of plastic these days, including car bodies. I think you're being unreasonable to say that it being "plasticy" is an indication that it isn't made well. Consider each thing you say carefully if you're going to be a reviewer.

  • @6789alm

Couple of things. A big fan spinning and trying to suck air through and push through a safety grill is going to meet a lot more resistance than a smaller fan efficiently taking advantage of airfoil principles to multiply the movement of air.

Yes, some things made of plastic are well built, and some aren't. My Canon camera is made of plastic, but it feels solid; My keyboard is made of plastic and feels cheap.

Consider making your own review instead of being an armchair critic.

  • @balazsbagi Irrelevant. You're still making unfounded presumptions about the blade and grate. To measure efficiency, you need a watt meter ($50). Dyson's fan has an impeller and sucks air through small holes in its base. There is NO reason to presume it is more efficient.

Dyson uses very high quality plastic in its vacuums, and the fan feels to be of similar quality to me. You're the armchair critic making baseless statements while claiming to be a reviewer.

  • @6789alm For three hundred dollars, I want billeted aluminum, not plastic. When I watch this video I need to know why I would pay so much for a product. It looks like metal but it is plastic. High-quality plastic or not, once the mold it paid for the stuff only costs pennies per ounce. Explain how that is not cheap, or at least cheap feeling.. i.e. "plasticy" cheap is cheap weather it is plastic or metal. Consider pulling your head out of your ass if you are going to use my internet.

  • @johnthicke Wow, you're losing and you don't like it. You've done nothing to address my ridiculing of your absurd assertion that this obviously uses less electricity. And your point about aluminum is useless. "Plasticy" does not equal cheap. The fact that you'd like aluminum does not make your criticism of the fan valid. In the end, you're just some halfwit who's out there posting useless, off-the-cuff reviews. I'm sorry that it hurts to hear that. But it is true. You're a fraud.

  • @6789alm Okay guy. Take it easy. It's YouTube comments you're getting mad over.

  • @Magickknight I'm not getting mad. It's just funny that guys are on here posting these useless reviews. People are out there making a living designing, manufacturing, and selling these products. This fan is expensive, but it is also unique. If someone is going to claim it's more efficient, they should have some basis for that. Criticizing it for feeling "plasticy" is sophomoric. And the reviewer can barely speak English. His reviews are just annoying, not maddening. So I review him.

  • Waited for test with smoke for the last moment. Next time it might be useful.

  • I want that tower version they have. Its 500 dollars or something though... so I don't think thats going to happen.

  • Some people dont realise it still has a motor and a fan it just pushes it though the blade design so it picks up more air. Its also made of cheap plastic biggest waste of money ever.

  • but will it blend?

  • ok ill pay 300$ for conversation piece or i could just shop of my left hand thats sure to spark a very exiting conversation

  • stick your head in it after a shower and BOOM!! instint dry hair

  • @lacrosseshot x 15!!!!!!!!!

  • @killuminati280 ok please ellaborate?

  • What happens when you put 10 of them in a row blowing one direction??

  • Put the bladed fan behind that, and see how muck air comes out

  • wow 300$ i can make that in my back yard

  • To bad i dont have millions of dollars to buy iMac's iPad's Xbox's iPhone's....

  • do you have infinits amounts of money?

  • @LikeABossGaming Yes he dose. This fan is like $300 and he just got a $3000 iMac

  • why would u buy a fan for 300 ?!?

  • The blades are in the base. -_-" dyson tried to lie. this was disassembled to see how it works

  • i am a fan of this fan hehe see what i did there?

  • I bet you have to buy air filters for this shit too.

  • Normal desk fan: 20 dollars

    Dyson fan: 300 dollars

You paid 280 dollars for "a more consistent air stream"

    Congratulations, your retarded!

  • Dont put fucking links to ur channel covering the screen! If i wanted to go to your fucking channel I would click on your god damn name.

  • @Karstond12, LOL the watermark your referring to covers like 1/16 of the video and in no obstructs your view of the screen, stop crying

  • @HsojTAN No dumb shit, the WHOLE SCREEN for the ENTIRE VIDEO if you click o nthe screen to pause the video it take you to his channel.

  • this is just fucking weird.

  • what is the point of that i barely hear my fan on high with my tv and computer

  • "a bit more smoother... a bit more cooler... a bit more choppier.." !? what the fuck!? learn some proper grammar you fucking dumbass!

  • @inyourfacemedia Well, if you're going to complain, at least use capitals.

  • If your gonna use your fan as a "conversation piece" I'd say you've already lost

  • Nothing pisses me off more than choppy air and I'm always scared when I turn on my conventional fan, that thing is so dangerous.....before I turn on my conventional fan I send my children out to skateboard in the street to keep them safe. Thanks Dyson, you rock.
