  • @JoshAgulto Set Current Garlyle HP to a variable. Revive Dummy Monster. Inflict death on Garlyle. Play Battle Animation on Dummy Monster. Play Battle Animation to Target (Alex) Calculate Damage, Inflict Damage on Target Finish Battle Animation. Revive Garlyle, Set Garlyle HP = To Variable Inflict Death to Dummy Monster. That's the jist of it.

    by any chance, would you consider releasing an updated battle demo? it'd be much appreciated! i've been trying to do cool things with my own DBS and i think there's a lot i can learn from you.

    also, I'd like to have a chat with you 1 on 1. yahoo, msn, anything. I'd like to share info on the rm2k3 program. You know your stuff. I'd like to see if we can't enlighten one another on some of the little things about the program you'd have a hard time finding out about just anywhere. I'd also like to talk about this conditions thing.

    you are right. two conditions can be on the same char. My battle events used the remove condition event command, so maybe it also removes the passive conditions too.

    I was under the impression that a character in rm2k3 could not be inflicted with multiple conditions and that whatever condition had priority would force prior condition to dissapear or be cured. Not true?

    Impressive, but using the DBS, some of these systems would be impossible with multi-encounters. As in, encounters with more than one enemy. You can't pick your target if you're using a skill to turn on a switch. Besides that, using your limit system, you pretty much scratch out Status Effects all together in a game, right? That is how you setup your limit break system. How does that system keep track of when you are poisoned and doing your limits and counters? It can't.

  • My main problem is getting the enemy character to move at all.

  • Then I applaud your dedication, although the practicality of it isn't that large.

    maybe if the game only had a small amount of enemies, but that'd still be a large game.

  • This is probably the best edit to the DBS I've ever seen. I was completely taken by suprise from the parry and counter you coded in, and how seamless the enemy moved.

    Is this something you could do with all encounters if you had the motivation, or just boss enemies?
