I think the song also speaks about how people get obsessed over someone, like a religious or political figure, or even a musician. They HAVE to know everything about this person; where they came from, who they are, their past, everything - that being the meaning behind "fisting" because you're digging up information on someone.

Could be, but I think the whole fisting thing is more of a metaphor for getting close to some one..getting really deep and how it starts out a knuckle at a time until he's elbow deep because he has to because he can't feel ,,anything..so he keeps digging, meaphorically speaking of course I...don't know where you get the anal thing from but hey if that works for you..

Thank you.. to be honest I just found the video on YouTube and thought it was really cool cept the narative by Vincent Price..and no offence to him or his family, he was awesome but just seeing the animation made me think of Tool so I looked through my mp3's.. this was the closest and with some minor editing seemed to fit pretty good. hey,,yea i just found this sort film today and i'v got 2 say that it was really something, pretty damn good,,really loved it..(the original) but..TOOL,,being the band that they are,,weird,unique and abnormally awesome,,fits almost perfectly with Tim Burton,, good idea mixing them together
