the Roush is a MUCH better handling car than the GT500, plus dealer markups make the 500 cost nearly 60k. I admit i love the look of the GT500 much more, and it is a much sexier car that i would rather own; however the Roush out performs it.
MustangDon you're an idiot. The Stg 3 Roush does not run a 13.6 ... It runs into low 12s. My lightly modified GT with 310 rwhp and 322 rwtq runs high 12s consistently. The Shelby GT only had a tune, intake, and axleback exhaust system over the factory GT. It's no comparison to a Roush Stg 3 car. The Roushcharger is even the worst supercharger out for the S197 Mustang.
I gotta agree with dagger about the money aspect... But in my case I could only afford a Fully loaded 08 Mustang GT.... Definitly go with the SHELBY for that Kinda CASH... but love both cars,,,,

My point exactly. They are not fast. Just a fun corner car. But have to disagree bout cobras. They are a very good handling corner car. Maybe not as much as a rouch but they handle great. When I had mine my buddy and i raced on his gsxr 750 and my cobra and i lost him on the corners.

Yeah the motor was first used in the 96 mustangs. And they claimed 305hp for the cobra and like 225 for GT. So there big differance. But I never lost to a gt when all I had was exhaust. I raced an 03gt and it had cold air, exhaust, pulleys and i raced him from dead 2 times and punch 3 and still had 2 cars on him by 110 and maybe a half more from dead. But sadly I just sold it last november. I bought a bike but I really miss the car.

they have another model now actually, i forgot whats it call tho, it has a different roush symbol, and only 1 strip which is on the hood, and also a 510hp decal is on the hood, i think its like the p-58 something... but its sick. there is one in my ford dealer by me where i am buying my mustang tomorrow
P-51. Its the highest hp roush yet. Designed and made after the P-51 WWII plane. Roush loves both mustangs so he made a car after the plane. Pretty sweet.
427R puts out 427HP and 391 lb ft. and if you put the pully system on it it will be putting 442 and also if you put the tower brace and the anti wheel hop and the 4.10 gears in you will kill a stock Corvette Z06 on the quater mile. mind you 4.10s not the 3.55s. and lets see you have all the same options as the Stage 3 but i am pretty sure that the 14 inch brake package is an option on both now if you want the best car get a 427R trak pak
damn 4.10s and a supercharger.....kiss your gas mileage good bye lol but yea you better have a damn good suspension set up and some sticky tires if you expect to get any traction but if you do that car would be a monster

superchargers hurt gas mileage if u drive fast all the time. If you just drive fast about 1/2 or even 3/4 of the time the gas is overall uneffected
