Man, this is another jam that helped set the tone in the great city of New Orleans in the mid 1980's. I was working as a DJ with the great Slick Leo and A.D. Berry at the night club, The Nexus. The floor stayed packed on this one. Keep bangin. This is why I love YouTube. Cuts that I have been looking for over 20 years show up at the click of a button. Faded,
Jenobia, I have always loved your voice sooo much. I even remember when you sang with a DC group called "Passion" (Pashun). I was the morning radio announcer on WOL during that era...Raymond St. James. Please contact me on facebook or matctrain@gmail.com. I'd like you to do a song on the Soundtrack in an upcoming movie.

Her phrasing on this song sounds a lot like her hubby Glenn Jones. If you listen carefully its so uncanny. Seems if you marry someone you subconciously take on their intonations.
Same initials as well. Probably taking this too far !
Listen to the lyrics, THIS IS A GOSPEL SONG and should not be played on the love zone or the quiet storm. I think Glenn Jones died but where is she? Good post!
I heard this artist and song on the episode of "The Best of Soul Train" tonight and absolutely LOVED it! She is such an elegant songstress! WOW! Glad it was available on the tube!
I had almost forgotten about this very talented singer until this morning when I saw her on The Best of Soul Train and now this great song on You Tube - thanks for posting
This song brought back sooooo many good memories! I used to have this album on cassette tape (oh gosh so long ago) but its gone and I wish I could find this album again...This album didn't get the airplay it needed, virtually every song is awesome, from beginning to end... If anyone has information as to where I could find a copy of this Out of Print album, I'd greatlly appreciate it!
who in their right mind could dislike this song? get a grip this is a choooon!!!

When I think of Genobia, I also think of Tawatha Agee, Gwen Dickey, Sharon Bryant and Barbara Weathers. All are fabulous, fabulous soul singers!
