@BIGGERLebowski The people who need their eyes opening are idiots like Hari who dont realise that, in a global recession, all these economic measures would do, is turn us into a third-world country and transfer all the major industry to China
What a load of nonsense! We live in Britain, and do we even use the coal mines? No, because they were shut down by Thatcher who supported acts against climate change. Carbon usage makes about 0.005% into the atmosphere that is less than what the sea does. Carbon dioxide is what we breathe out and what do plants and trees breathe? Carbon dioxide. CO2 even makes up part of the atmosphere and it must to keep us going so then the trees can breathe it. Climate change has been going since point 0.
Another "farcical situation:" is the beautiful fruit used in the demonstration: In Copenhagen! In December! How much fossil fuel to transporting those fruits? The journalists, and their crews?
How much plastic in all those colorful displays to exhort some reaction? Renewable? Reusable? Doubtful.
I like Mr. Hari, but one cannot get away from all the aspects where burning fossil fuels touch our lives. Hypocrisy abound. Is he a sheep in a wolf suit? Or, a wolf dressed in sheep's clothes?
Ha ha ha yeah story of the year at the most recent Environmental Press Awards eh? Would that be the "story" of how Man is more powerful than nature and can destroy the world? Yeah great story and that's all it is a story. Jonann is one of thousands of useful fools who are being manipulated by some very, very rich and clever people in order that they make billions.
Nah! I wouldn't worry about the Earth warming up. It ain't gonna happen. Pour a beer, read a good book and stop worrying guys.
@ongruse: Johann Hary might not be the best presenter, but come on now he was named 'Journalist of the Year' for his reporting on the war in Congo by Amnesty International in 2007. He was named 'Journalist of the Year' for his columns by Stonewall in 2009. He was named 'Cultural Commentator of the Year' for his arts criticism at the Editorial Inteligence awards in 2009. His reporting from Bangladesh was named the 'Story of the Year' at the most recent Environmental Press Awards.

I love school programmes but the boy in the film only seems to be about 11 years of age. I don't think He's cut out to appear in front of the camera. He should do something like work for a school newspaper or something. He doesn't appear to be very articulate. Is English His first language?
that woman is really annoying: SHH!
