OK, i just seen like some of these fights that had the same attacks used over and over, i cant believe the opponents couldnt counter attacks being used on them over and over. Dont call yourself a blackbelt unless you can learn to counter attacks during a match. Almost all these fighters had little or no reflex at all, i mean come on, it doesnt take a genius to block a kick to the left of you if thats your opponents only attack.
@Patriot1389 I train something like kyokoshin kai,and not kyokushin kai itself,but i know that it is not easy to counter this.And,people who never did something like this should not make statements like that,because then martial arts look bad.
In Kyoku fight you apsorb over 50 punches for 4 minutes...After a while you body is numb of hits,and you hit opponent constantly too..Theres no much time for blocks here..After all is street fights where you got 4-5 punches you hardly can block any...But this is a statements of peolpe who watched Jet Lee on film and think that martial art fight is easy and joke....

Hey i just started training kyokushin recently, i was wondering what does the red sash tied to the back of the blackbelts represent? Is it a rank, or simply a way of distinguishing the fighters?
In tournaments,and fihgts you got red and white fighter..Both of them got red or white strap..When judges (4 of them show red flag that means that he give a point to a red fighter) or othervise..OSU!
Damn, every time I watch this excellent video I have to go to the gym and practice some more and more and more.....I'm gonna have to go to Kyokushinkai Rehab!
Reminds me of my younger days! Only ever went to 1 KO comp and trained hard for 2nd but had to give up due to a serious knee injury (from cycling LOL!) ... that was 20 yrs ago ....
