Yeah, seeing Roger in concert is a real treat. He's such a down to earth guy. And his style of fingerpicking on the 12-string makes it a new instrument.
I've known Roger and Camilla for many years. The guy is a genius, and no one plays the RIC like he does. Without a doubt one of the best guitar players in the WORLD!
If you EVER get a chance to see him, you will NOT be dissapointed.
Gosh, McGuinn strikes me as one of the most genuine, humble, and kind hearted celebrities you could ever meet. Sorry you feel ripped of by him, but I really admire him.

yeah..I remember this McGuinn rip=off. He would come into town wth only his wife and guitar. Sell out a night at the local theatre and advertised he would be with a three piece band. Wife would sell T's and CD's in the lobby. McGuinn would appear on stage alone and play for an Hour and Fifteen minutes..and leave...no band..compeltly alone. Wasted time tuning himself because he did not even have a second guitar or assistant. Complete rip-off and he can go to hell.
I feel a little sorry for you for your bitterness if this is the most you got from the Bible's wisdom of the ages, brought to song by the incomparable Pete Seeger, set to a wonderful driving beat of the times written by McGuinn and played so skillfully.
I wasn't there, don't know what was promised or expected, but soloists show their skill in a way you can never see at a large concert where there's a backup band in the cage.
I Saw a concert last month. I thought it was the best concert I have ever seen. He had many guitars and his wife was beautiful. He is a true musician and there are not many of his kind left. He plays music for thoughs who want to see him not jerks that go because the have no life and nothing better to do. I say the same thing to you Dear Vel- you can go to hell.. Loser
I'm not gonna wait for my funeral to play this one. A classic Scripture from Ecclesiastes, TURNed into a classic lyric by Pete Seeger, TURNed into a classic anthem by The Byrds TURNed into a classic solo effort by Roger McGuinn.
After hearing this it seems the Byrds were basically built around mcguinns' musical ability..

nice to see your comment.
I too have a song in the heart to leave as my final goodbye to this world...
a kaleidoscopic place of dark and light for sure, our shinny ball of blue.
But if only for the Music, it was/is a well worthwhile journey!
ty 4 sharing that thought with the world.
