I agree, but I think the style of this particular version fits the movie better. Phil's version consists of many drums, strings and an overall jungle, primal-esque musical style. This is far more urban and fits the ever-technologically focused WALL-E and EVE. :]

this version is more futuristic and some parts sounded robotic, I think that's why he used this instead. I do like Phil's more if just for listening though.
