  • Yep, I loved me some pink flakes in my cereal bowl is a kid.

  • I remember the commercial, but never got to try the cereal.

  • I've never even heard of this cereal before. I know Rice Krispies, Count Chocula, Frosted Flakes, Marshmallow Krispies (and it's counterpart, Fruity Marshmallow Krispies), and several others. But, Pink Panther Flakes is something I've never heard about, much less seen it. Is it available in any stores? If so, I might pick up a box and try them out.

  • ate it all the time...only thing was, it wasn't available in my hometown. had to buy it where my grandma lived in Illinois.

  • pagaria $ 100 dolares por una caja vacia de ese cereal . Si alguien tiene una llamame al 210-322-0855 . plz

  • Must've been a memorable cereal...in Wesley Hyatt's "Encyclopedia of Daytime TV", he mentions it in his entry on the Pink Panther!

  • my favorite cereal as a kid - the milk turned pink!

  • I begged my mother for this cereal..... but she did not want me to eat it because it was pink and she thought it was dangerous. I have never forgotten it and the fussing we did in the store every week because I wanted it so bad..I now have a framed copy of the box and one of the giveaway toys from it.....

  • I was living in Youngstown when it hit stores.

  • Gotta love a flashback~I remember this cereal!!!

  • juan

  • video muii bueno

  • long gone by the time I was born and the cartoon was still being made in 78 or I was too young. Surprised it was just dyed pink corn flakes and not like strawberry fruit flavored

  • A classic cereal commercial from 1970.

  • After several years of trying to create Post cereals featuring animated character "tie-ins" {The Road Runner, Casper the Friendly Ghost and Dennis the Menace were among those that were featured in "test commercials" for their proposed cereals before plans to market them were abandoned}, General Foods FINALLY got this one on grocers' shelves by 1972. Naturally, DePatie-Freleng, the studio that produced the Panther's theatrical cartoons, also animated these commercials...

  • Turned the milk all pink and tasted exactly like Frosted Flakes. Not bad, but nothing earthshattering. The whole appeal was the Pink Panther being on NBC on Saturday mornings and the tie-in to the cereal. Elsewhere on YouTube, you can see the first TV cartoon show to star a line of cereal box icons in their own show (on ABC). It was "Linus the Lion Hearted" and co-starred Sugar Bear and Lovable Truly (from "Alpha-Bits"), among others.

  • Oh, how I LOVED this cereal. Was SO disappointed when it got discontinued; big jolt for my 4 year old self, I'll tell you!

  • I remember this cereal & ad,but the lyrics i remem must have been later version:"Pink Panther Flakes are great for any special occasion you may have..." unless me & my bro made that up.who knows.

  • Sounds like Blossom Dearie on vocals.

  • looks good

  • This was my favorite cereal in 3rd and 4th grade.

  • OTAY!!!

    =3(kitty)

  • I remember eating this. It was just frosted flakes with pink dye.

  • Did the cereal taste good???

    =3(kitty)

  • It tasted exactly like frosted flakes. There was red dye on the cereal so that the milk would turn pink. The dye was for a visual effect and it didn't have a taste

  • @PhuckHue2 But caused cancer in mice so they pulled the cereal. Stoopid Red #5

  • He is a comedy panther.

  • Pink Panther is Now on Teletoon Retro

  • I used to love this cereal! I had forgotten all about it. Thank you~!

  • Ah, the first (of many) things I ever loved that got discontinued. Wish I had a bowl right now...and some pine brothers cough drops too.

  • I only know of 1 other person that remembers this cereal.

  • Now you know of 2...'cause I used to eat it(and got the RPX car from it).

  • @DAYWALKER2370 It tasted no different from Frosted Flakes. I remember eating this cereal as a child.

  • @DAYWALKER2370 Now you know 2!! They were corn flakes but pink and sweet...it was a special edition.
