Just a short update, we´re working on the vox for the rest of the songs wich is a bit time consuming but we´re making good headway on it. Sounds great of course.

@plisskenation Don't confuse not hitting as many high pitches as he used to for a loss of power, for example listen to any live version of Bright Eyes within the past decade. aside from the scream after the first time he sings "everything is out of control" he sings the entire song in his baritone range instead of the higher vocals you hear on the album and it still sounds just as amazing actually even a little bit better. Yes his singing has become more refined and polished over the years but if it didn't and he continued singing in the more raw style of BG's older albums he would've blown his voice out a while ago and then he really would sound like shit nowadays

@plisskenation I'll agree with you to some extent sometimes I do kind of miss the shrieking from Imaginations (but to be honest even on that albums tour he only hit the shrieks 70% of the time) his voice has waned a bit but saying that he's completely lost his power I find to be quite a stretch. As far as the band getting old I have to agree, on the live videos from the nightfall tour Hansi was insane and his stage movements were for lack of a better word, hilarious

I don't know. He had a project called coldseed i think with jens (not shure), and also he helped out in a german gothic metal band (forgot their name). Haven't heard anything about him for a long time.
I think when Jens signs on to any band he puts it in his contract that each song has to sound like 9 different songs happening at the same time. It's not a bad thing at all but damn are these songs involved
Awesome song, but the video is missing a bassist. Love this band. I'd like to call them Blind Iron Guardian Savior, since they are a mixture of BG from "Imaginations.." and Iron Savior (I noticed a stronger IS influence in their second album)
It's funny that Thomen left BG because they moved away from the Imaginations From The Other Side sound, because they've gone back to that style on their new record.
It's the former drummer of Guardian. He left BG because they had different oppinions about the music they made and founded his own band - less epic but more powerful then Guardian :)
He said he liked the style of the "Imaginations" albu and tried to make his album sound like it...
Really confusing to step down from the real Blind Guardian to play in a replica band. I guess he really missed the middle era style. Now he can play in a band that copies that style 100%. If you were to play this for someone that knew Blind Guardian and told them it was a B-Side from the mid 90s they would probably believe, that's how much this sounds like Blind Guardian.
@Defleshuary I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself. What exact Blind Guardian song would you say this songs sounds like? I'll agree this sounds like it is heavily influenced by BG; but I have to disagree when you say it sounds like a BG B-side. It sounds like someone took the idea and spirit of what BG was doing, like it, and ran with it. The epic power metal with a bit of balls. Which is what I love. SC just isn't as good as BG, Persuader or Dark Empire.
@randomgai1234 I don't think I'm ahead of myself at all, perhaps exaggerating a tiny bit. The band's sound is based on entirely on the middle era of Blind Guardian. It's one thing to be influenced and inspired by a band, but to completely copy a band's writing style is just boring and stale to me. I listened to their entire first album and there are parts that sound completely lifted from Somewhere... and Imaginations.... It's especially weird to me that Thomen was a part of it.
When I hear how epic this chorus is I definitely don't get the image of these guys playing in a garage/warehouse, lol. The video should be a little more fitting to the song style. Though they were probably working withing a budget, the music is still grand

@iankaislaia That's the point Thomen Stauch ( former drummer for BG) made the band and kept the old style of BG rather than the new style the band was going in. Sadly Thomen was forced to leave the band due to frail health.

I've to agree with Thomen, BG's new musical direction is not what they've made their name on, SC tries to keep it alive. Sounds really good but I miss Hansi sometimes and also Andre's melodies...

lighter songs. His "new style" agressive vocals are like Ride into Obsession (fuckin' powerful song, just without rasp).

I think when Jens signs on to any band he puts it in his contract that each song has to sound like 9 different songs happening at the same time. It's not a bad thing at all but damn are these songs involved

Awesome song, but the video is missing a bassist. Love this band. I'd like to call them Blind Iron Guardian Savior, since they are a mixture of BG from "Imaginations.." and Iron Savior (I noticed a stronger IS influence in their second album)

It's the former drummer of Guardian. He left BG because they had different oppinions about the music they made and founded his own band - less epic but more powerful then Guardian :)
He said he liked the style of the "Imaginations" albu and tried to make his album sound like it...

Really confusing to step down from the real Blind Guardian to play in a replica band. I guess he really missed the middle era style. Now he can play in a band that copies that style 100%. If you were to play this for someone that knew Blind Guardian and told them it was a B-Side from the mid 90s they would probably believe, that's how much this sounds like Blind Guardian.

@Defleshuary I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself. What exact Blind Guardian song would you say this songs sounds like? I'll agree this sounds like it is heavily influenced by BG; but I have to disagree when you say it sounds like a BG B-side. It sounds like someone took the idea and spirit of what BG was doing, like it, and ran with it. The epic power metal with a bit of balls. Which is what I love. SC just isn't as good as BG, Persuader or Dark Empire.

@randomgai1234 I don't think I'm ahead of myself at all, perhaps exaggerating a tiny bit. The band's sound is based on entirely on the middle era of Blind Guardian. It's one thing to be influenced and inspired by a band, but to completely copy a band's writing style is just boring and stale to me. I listened to their entire first album and there are parts that sound completely lifted from Somewhere... and Imaginations.... It's especially weird to me that Thomen was a part of it.

When I hear how epic this chorus is I definitely don't get the image of these guys playing in a garage/warehouse, lol. The video should be a little more fitting to the song style. Though they were probably working withing a budget, the music is still grand

they are very very good and also their music...But: this style was invented 25 years ago by Blind guardian. The sound of voice and instrument it's the same too. So what do they add to this kind of music? Nothing. It's a sad waste of time, energy, talent, maybe money and so on..

@iankaislaia That's the point Thomen Stauch ( former drummer for BG) made the band and kept the old style of BG rather than the new style the band was going in. Sadly Thomen was forced to leave the band due to frail health.
