I heard Jesse Ventura say that he's riding Amtrak and he had enough with the airport security. I agree with him and I want to follow suit by going to San Francisco next month by train-and I need to be away from my family as far possible, because I still don't know who I am.
Hey Amtrak this coming January my partner and I are taking Cascades from Vancouver to Seattle, then Coast Starlight to Los Angeles, then this train to get to Anaheim. We cannot wait, we're both big railfans from Canada and we have always wanted to travel with Amtrak. In a few years we're hoping to buy rail passes and really see the USA right, but that will have to wait for now. Glad you still offer such great service for those of us who think getting there in style is more than half the fun!
@MagnusBrage this is the surfliner corridor. it only goes from San Diego to LA then towards San Luis Obispo. the train u want is Southwest Chief. CHI-LAX. price depends on when u purchase and what class u want to be in. (sleeper or coach). the SWC is unique in that it can hit 90mph.
Interesting how the train in the background at 0:02 had a Superliner car mixed with the Surfliner cars.
I have ridden the Surfliner round trip between Los Angeles and San Diego and I have shot the Surfliner track side. I have a number of Surfliner videos on my youtube account that I I have shot over the years.
I road the Surfliner between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo.
& I have the Surfliner route on Microsoft Train Simulator
Well, as a young adult that I am, I really enjoy this ride. As a matter of fact, I'm riding it right now. It's so smooth. I highly recommend it. Go business and you can't go wrong!
A very very quick overview of onboard experience and desitnations, you blink and you miss it. It does appear to be dated and kind of boring, why would a young adult want to ride Amtrak Pacific Surfliner?
It gives the feeling of a cheesy 90s educational video... If you want to attract a new generation you need to give off a fresh an new image, not an old and lame image.
just wondering do these have wifi on-board?

Amtrak. A Multi-billion dollar government run Nostalgic machine. We seriously need to promote private rail again.

Compared to Indian railways, amtrak sucks

@sukumaku97 having seen photos and video of indian railways, I'll stick with Amtrak. They never have let me down yet.

The music is too loud, I can't understand the narration. Not very inviting for potential passengers.
