you know you can still get to the system that sells the kestrel without beating storyline i think theres a wormhole in the vega system thats in the southeast corner i think.

The best ship is polaris story/pirate carrier heavy weapons class. You can fit all the armor you can buy and 4 thunderhead lances, 4 polaris regular lasers and 2 of their gas powered lasers. All the things that charge energy and 18 marine platoons as well. After having it for a while the game gets kinda boring though
Good setup, but you can pretty much do that with any fast ship I think. Just load four of those green laser what nots and you can pretty much take on anything except scarabs and ravens.
@Spikezx7 if you have Windows, you might have to convert the plug-in first. There's a convertor somewhere that comes with the game, but I haven't played in a long time.
hey did you know in the original ev you can do the forklift glitch... its ctrl command ( winows key/ mac key) and alt plus sift and f right when you get to the acnolegdements... ahh its hard to explain

The first time I beat the Vellos storyline and saw the kestrel for sale for 50 mil, I immediately made a new pilot, raised 50 mil and beat the vellos storyline again so I could get the Kestrel.
Honestly, I was a little upset with it. I think I just built it up in my head too much and when I finally got it I just didn't think it was worth all my trouble, haha. Cool vid though! sorry for being so off topic.
ev nova and alpha centauri are two of my favorite games of all time (next to the fallout series, haha). how come i only find out other living beings like them NOW? i don't even own them anymore -_- except for fallout, haha.

You accept the mission "delivery to Earth" from the mission BBS. It is usually found at the bottom of the list, separating it from the other delivery missions. The note that you get when you land on Earth will be different from the notes you get from finishing other missions. Once you finish, get out of Sol, go back in and land on Earth, and (I think) half of the time a Vell-os will talk to you. BEWARE: Have a really good ship before starting the Vell-os storyline.

I've always considered EVN to be one of my favorite games of all time, no matter how obscure and outdated it may be.
