You said the skirmish and multiplayer modes didnt interest you, well those are the best parts of the game! You said the single player was hard, but judging by your video, you barely tried it, and only did the united states campaign. Well, the campaign gets beter later on and the german campaign is much more fun then the american. What im getting at i

WHAT?! STARCRAFT IS FOR FUCKING RTS NOOBS! Warhammer 40k, Theatre of War, Empire Total War (and rome total war) and World in Conflict are REAL RTS's for people intelligent enough to use REAL tactics.
Totally unprofessional and/or unfair to judge a strategy game having played only the first 4 missions. I don't know what exactly you said later since I stopped watching it, giving it the same fair and balanced "review" you gave to the game. In another of your reviews (Infinite Undiscovery or Star Ocean) you mentioned how the game is very boring till the first hour or so. Imagine if you stopped playing it then...You have good reviews, don't fuck it up with garbage like this "review".
Hi man! I disagree with your review. And I wouldn't say it's objective... So here are your points why game sucks:
1. RPG makers can publish strategy games. Huh? Que? This is plain stupid.
2.No saving would suck big time if true.
3. Game is too hard, too many troops get killed. Huh? It's WW2 a lot of people are supposed to die... Anyways I always hated how unrealistic my Starcraft statistics were like Units lost: 23 Units killed: 25144..
3. And you can avoid a lot of casualties in this game too by using the right troops in the right time in the right manner... But in the end you can always win simply by overrunning the enemy, and using few simple rules don't attack armor with infantry and don't attack artillery with armor head on.
4. Game is too slow? Yes if you like Starcraft paced games but then correct positioning and many strategy aspect of this game would be lost... You can always watch cinematics or..
5. True, game has some serious requirements but just set video options to low, it still looks great, and is playable now... And that's it... you didn't say much more.
But there is one thing you overlooked - game is not moddable... it could be, everything could be modded but publisher didn't even release simple map-creation tool... Which basically sucks.. and this is a major issue to me when it comes to FPS/RPG and RTS games... I like modding...

I think the game just isn't for you (As it isn't for me, but my friend just loves such games- you really should base the reviews on objective measurements). And yea if it happened that way, as game shows the axis would have won on the western front. Since the allies at all time had superiority on the ground and in the air (Except rare occasions), so its mainly made to be challenging, so your argument is totaly on the spot for that one.
@Teranex Agreed, it's not for me, though I will not do an objective review. There are plenty of places to go if you want objective reviews. My viewers watch my reviews because they care what I have to say, subjectively. If that's not for you, then simply don't watch ;-)
Theres are reason they move slow. its 1940 the tanks are slow anyway and if your driving a tank your not gonna floor it across a battlefield. and for infantry, what do you want them to do sprint headlong through a several mile long battlefield while getting shot at, no thats stupid.

I honestly like the slower pacing of this game. Because, 1. Cinematic? Awesome.
2.I dont mind the slower pacing because it gives me more time to think about what I'm doing, like, "Wait, could that open field with forests surrounding it be a trap?" And besides, boring is only a matter of perspective.

Honestly you don't have to make the comments here dramatic. Some people find RPG's fun, some like strategy, some like FPS's but there all games. Honestly, I'll only like RPG's if it has a mixture of strategy and RPG in it like Mount and Blade Warband. I disagree, sir. I just bought this in steam $2.49 and is one of the best strategy games I ever played. I dare to say that it is even better than COH. It's a good game for $3, anyway.
Square Enix doesn't even produce RPGs...they basically port a variety of Japanese produced games for the US market. I hate to say it...but you've played a bit too much starcraft, and no actual war games. I have to agree with the bulk of the people here...a very poor review. If you're going to review a game - that's fine. Most people are looking for reviews which cover the information, and not the reviewer's bias.

All i'm gonna say is I hated this game until I realized how to play it. I was ordering all infantry and trying to win. Then I used my brain and got a shit load of artillery and tanks. Used infantry for capturing the Resource Spots and bombed the hell out the enemy with my planes. This game is kick ass!! The best WWII game on the market and you just don't know a good game when you see one because your to used to winning on easy mode.
Sounds more like he's bitter over the fact that he sucked at the game. The game IS on more of a true to life line. When you went into battle, you didn't have a base sitting back pumping out troops, you too your army and used them STRATEGICALLY, not just throwing as many as you can at the enemy. Troops and armor didn't move at tremendous speeds, when you got reinforcements you had to wait. Don't rate a game poorly because you suck at it.
@Alphadragon1979 This is a great game and with something many games lack this day and age, a real challenge. This game is more on line with company of heroes, minus the base building. If you like a challenge and like RTS games...this is the game for you, and it by no means is "Slow".

Not much else to say beyond Order of War is simply boring. I preferred even Command & Conquer 4 and Supreme Commander 2 over this, and CoC4 as we all know is greatly undesired by its community. Check my reviews, I've got lots of RTS experience. All of the others got good reviews, just not this one because it sucks.

I happen to think CoC is a great, refreshing new game play style. I was a little disappointed because I wanted the normal style, but I gave it the chance it deserved and like it. And you're comparing OoW to Super Mario Galaxy 2 O.o, wow...just...wow.

5. True, game has some serious requirements but just set video options to low, it still looks great, and is playable now... And that's it... you didn't say much more.
But there is one thing you overlooked - game is not moddable... it could be, everything could be modded but publisher didn't even release simple map-creation tool... Which basically sucks.. and this is a major issue to me when it comes to FPS/RPG and RTS games... I like modding...

I think the game just isn't for you (As it isn't for me, but my friend just loves such games- you really should base the reviews on objective measurements). And yea if it happened that way, as game shows the axis would have won on the western front. Since the allies at all time had superiority on the ground and in the air (Except rare occasions), so its mainly made to be challenging, so your argument is totaly on the spot for that one.

Theres are reason they move slow. its 1940 the tanks are slow anyway and if your driving a tank your not gonna floor it across a battlefield. and for infantry, what do you want them to do sprint headlong through a several mile long battlefield while getting shot at, no thats stupid.

I honestly like the slower pacing of this game. Because, 1. Cinematic? Awesome.
2.I dont mind the slower pacing because it gives me more time to think about what I'm doing, like, "Wait, could that open field with forests surrounding it be a trap?" And besides, boring is only a matter of perspective.
But yes, like every other reviewer you gave your opinion on the game which is what your supposed to do. Whether people agree with you or not shouldnt really matter.

Sadly, I bought this game for 50 bucks when it came out and I played it and i was SOOOOOO mad!!!! I thought it would be amaizng because the developers were made for creating war games and stuff. I was extremely dissapointed in me wating 50 bucks for this game that was just.. SOOOO BAD :( I could have gotten tf2 or something better with that 50 bucks D:

Honestly you don't have to make the comments here dramatic. Some people find RPG's fun, some like strategy, some like FPS's but there all games. Honestly, I'll only like RPG's if it has a mixture of strategy and RPG in it like Mount and Blade Warband. Some will not agree with me but hey better then screaming at one another saying RPG's suck or Strategy's suck and blah blah blah.

Square Enix doesn't even produce RPGs...they basically port a variety of Japanese produced games for the US market. I hate to say it...but you've played a bit too much starcraft, and no actual war games. I have to agree with the bulk of the people here...a very poor review. If you're going to review a game - that's fine. Most people are looking for reviews which cover the information, and not the reviewer's bias.

The problem with this review in particular, is that I'm pretty much the only person on YouTube who made a review of the game, and as such, objective review seeking viewers are finding it, when they should be looking else ware.

All i'm gonna say is I hated this game until I realized how to play it. I was ordering all infantry and trying to win. Then I used my brain and got a shit load of artillery and tanks. Used infantry for capturing the Resource Spots and bombed the hell out the enemy with my planes. This game is kick ass!! The best WWII game on the market and you just don't know a good game when you see one because your to used to winning on easy mode.

Sounds more like he's bitter over the fact that he sucked at the game. The game IS on more of a true to life line. When you went into battle, you didn't have a base sitting back pumping out troops, you too your army and used them STRATEGICALLY, not just throwing as many as you can at the enemy. Troops and armor didn't move at tremendous speeds, when you got reinforcements you had to wait. Don't rate a game poorly because you suck at it.

@Alphadragon1979 This is a great game and with something many games lack this day and age, a real challenge. This game is more on line with company of heroes, minus the base building. If you like a challenge and like RTS games...this is the game for you, and it by no means is "Slow".

You biased the review because you were no good at the game or rather the genre of game. And as far as your Starcraft 2 comment, Starcraft 2 = Starcraft 1 just with better graphics and a few extra units. You've had 10 years to play THAT game and it plays like a "Classic" RTS. You suck at it, as you said, and you're not a "History Buff" so you rate it poorly.

@Alphadragon1979 Getting your butt whooped does not make a game boring. I had about 30 game overs on Super Mario Galaxy 2 and that game was amazing. Not much else to say beyond Order of War is simply boring. I preferred even Command & Conquer 4 and Supreme Commander 2 over this, and CoC4 as we all know is greatly undesired by its community. Check my reviews, I've got lots of RTS experience. All of the others got good reviews, just not this one because it sucks.

I happen to think CoC is a great, refreshing new game play style. I was a little disappointed because I wanted the normal style, but I gave it the chance it deserved and like it. And you're comparing OoW to Super Mario Galaxy 2 O.o, wow...just...wow.

You suck at the game, you're a novice to RTS and you clearly have no desire for a real to life RTS (as real as possible that is) and you want everything to be handed to you and not challenging (Like Starcraft 2). Most likely you think CoH is a horrible game as well, though, to defend yourself I'm sure you're going to claim it's a great game even though you suck at it.
