  • No Autotune, no backing singers,no lasers, no stupid flames and lights. Just Guitar, voice and two two amazingly talented singers.

A tribute to legends like mic, rory, phil, band sthat have disppeard from sight but not memory, Toasted Heretic, Horslips!!!

The talent in this country should be celebrated!!!

  • thank u so much for including rory

i think he's too underestamated as a musician and person

  • who is rory?

  • I just bought my cd on Amazon as I type..... What talent! It would have been amazing to see where his career would have went. Thanks for posting this video.

  • i wonder what hes drinking?

  • i know eugene i had to download it cause it wasnt on the album

  • oooh ur talkin about fogtown... yeah i dont know why they didnt put this on the album.. maybe they didnt have the recording when they were putting all the songs together...

  • nah, they didn't put it on the album coz its not their own song. Its a cover, the original song was by "Michelle Shocked". Great song tho!

  • I know it's a cover. But in my universe it's theirs and theirs alone. For no one does it like they do!

  • you can buy the album anywhere.. i see them in all the music shops i go into.. its called skylarking but it doesnt have this song unfortunatly...

  • Love it!

  • That's cool, you're lucky!

i don't live in Ireland, and i think it's impossible to get it anywhere else than the uk.

so maybe next time i'll visit :)

  • i want the CD :)

  • I tried ordering it from Road Records in October rang them after a few weeks said they were trying to get it through their supplier and that they would get back to me. I haven't heard from them since.

  • That's funny that even in Ireland you can't get it!

Did'nt his album won an award in 03'? That means it suppose to be available in every music shop in every developed country.

  • Yeah but this is Ireland! I think it's an exception to the rule.

  • i cant find his album in toronto. But i downloaded it off itunes

  • I just got the cd on amazon. Nice! They have more if you wanted to get it.

  • anyone knows where i can get a hold of his (mic christopher) album?

i coudn't find it even online..

  • MP3 album is available on Amazon and iTunes. Search for 'Skylarkin'.

  • saw skylarking in loads of record stores, even saw it in xtra vision, the mary janes stuff is alot harder to find, but i managed to find a copy of the album in hmv grafton street

  • keep the fire of mic alive and tell your frends about his music, i always try and inform ppl of his music in them house party drunken moments when music is been talked about.. not name checkin but just spreading the word as such,, do the same thing for brant bjork and mark lanegan... medicate the nation and rip to the strongest and most emotive voice ive herd...

  • My god I can't believe it was seven years since he died. He really was something. Hope his family are so proud. His sister Maureen has done so much over the years.

  • Fantastic rendition, and a belated but happy birthday to Mic and all his friends and family for yesterday... I hope your hearts and the day was filled with happy and comforting memories.

  • Am I so strange that I´ve been watching this at least once a week since it appeared here?:)

  • AHH...beat ya...twice for me

  • watch and listen to the smoothness of the way this song is delivered.. this is what is missing is modern music today.. a true talent.. his voice is also amazing in this.. the best ive heard it ever... mic christopher.. amazing....

  • i have a vid of the frames playin in NY and they cover Heyday and Pixies song, great gig in South street seaport in lower manhattan

  • fucking amazing what talent!!!

i have a theory that glen hansard is always better when playing someone other than the frames for some reason

  • he's great with Frames, but he shines when he's writing with someone else or doin someone elses song. It's like he's less worried about it.

  • yeah your right i take my comment back 3 months ago i didnt have any frames albums but now i do and they are one of my favourite bands

still though he is amazing at whatever he does

  • its a pitty, i'm from where he grew up and if i was to say the name mic cristopher to anyone i know they wouldn't know who he was! but he was a legend!!

  • such a shame he died, was a legend. great stuff..

  • ...its not his fault he died... pr1ck

  • unbelievable singer, the chills are rising up my spine... mist out on him, only herd him a yr after he died, but went to new york and checked out the area he grew up in in bronx wen he was yunger as i was stayin ther briefly.. RIP

  • he wasn't from new york, he was from Dublin!

  • He was born in the Bronx then move to Dublin with his two irish parents when he was 3 years old

  • Such a ledgend.

Really did have a massive career ahead of him.

    Shame, shame.

  • RIP Mic

  • excellent, anyone who got to see Glen and Mic when they used to busk or support the likes of the foremen etc etc will really appriciate this!
