hey, you know something. When i got though Besaid, Before Beclem left, after he got hit with the ball, he returned it to then with a Spectacular shot, then the Aurochs wanted Beclem to teach that shot when he returns.

@Kakerate2 you get it in the mission in the calm lands gorge mission. someone you rescue gives it to you. it unlocks a chest which allows to you find 4 ciphers, which allows you to further explore the cave in besaid. however, all you get is one lousy garment grid. its a big waste of time.

You can't beat Angra Mainyu?...Train more. To get The End GG, you need to complete the entire bestiary and fight all enemies that can be oversouled in oversoul form. This could take a couple of playthroughs.

hmmm, question. in the guide book it says if u don't join with new yevon, u can't get episode complete for bevelle without doing Via Infinito. however, i went there and got an episode complete without doing Via Infinito and i joined with the youth league. is the book wrong? or is it a glitch or what?

Yes, the book is wrong. Most guide books have more than 10 errors in them. If one of the authors decides to ask me, I know where to find them instantly because when they publish it, they have to meet a deadline. Unlike me, I don't have a deadline. As long as you can get Episode Complete, it doesn't matter which side you join.

well, i must say, thank you VERY much. i got the mascot dp this morning (at like 2) and it only took me 2 1/2 days. furthermore, you helped me get another % on my total (the mi'ihen mystery thing always threw me off). I suppose greater thanks is to SplitInfinity for writing that FAQ. well, i'm in Via Infinito now, using my mascot dp. i just have to master that now, and the gun mage dp. i need to get 3 more blue bullets: White Wind, Cry in the Night, and Supernova.

good luck for Cry in the Night though... a normal Mega Tonberry is already tough plus you have to oversoul him(so beat like 11 of them) plus put him in critical so he does Cry in the Night and you have to survive it when he does...

ok, one stupid question, i use the walkthrough b4 this speed run, but there is some part when it told me to watch the sphere from Shinra, i missed one or two of them, can i still get mascot. And when i talked to the former summoner in Bevelle, i only get mission complete, huh...sorry 4 long comment and weird grammar.

Chances are that you won't. Missing anything in these videos will cost you the Mascot, there's no way to fix it. These are the bare minimum, anything less and you lose your chance and have to start over. Mission Complete is for all that is chapter 1 -4, Episode Complete is for Chapter 5 only.

I have to comment on this though it's been a long time. I noticed that there's no Zanarkand Ruins, Calm Lands nor Mt Gagazet parts for chapter 5(I even made a list just to keep track). In part 14A they're all still marked as Hotspots but in part 15A they're gone(And part 14B is just continuation of the Thunder Plains). So I'm guessing there has been some mishap? Unless I really missed something.

Mmm I am having troubles again, I defeated trema but i didnt get episode complete just mision complete, what do I need to do? Bevelle is no longer a hotspot and in the final cloister there is just a tonberry near paragon

kaddygamer I followed your videos and I've got episode complete in every place except for djose and besaid (theres no problem I havent gone there yet) but after that I started the 100 cloisters trial (I didnt know what it was, I only heard about it, so i didnt recognize it)and, Bevelle its a hotspot now. I read one of your coments that I shouldnt have started it!! can I get mascot ? I dont speak a lot off english so excuse my gramatic

Your grammar is fine. You can still get it, but there's 2 things. 1) You must complete Via Purifico to get Episode Complete, 2) You must end the Hot Spots, but it can't be Bevelle or Zanarkand

With some luck, Trema can be defeated at any level. Catnip + Gunner + Critical. The last hotspot that you get can't be those 2 places.

that's true,I printed the faqs for the PR mission and for the missions for the mascot and i had them just in front of me while i was playing.Actually it isn't so difficult,especially:

if you get Meggiddo garment grid on the second playthrough,

if you have learned sticky fingers with thieves and steal hero drinks from shuyin,

if you use these hero drinks while fighting agra maniyu and the experiment at lvl5,

if you have mastered the blue mage dress

also note that i still haven't gone to via infinito and i have neither catnips nor iron dukes

No. That's not what I meant. I got my first Mascot on my second walkthrough. I'm just on my 6+ walkthrough because I wanted to get at least 6 Iron Dukes. I see no reason of to get more than 1 copy of mascot. I just made this video series to show people how to get Mascot in the shortest amount of time. Notice that I already had mascot before getting this one.

Lady Luck comes from CH3 or CH5 when you beat Shinra at SphereBreak

Just keep a constant combo of 3 or 4 coins. If you get echoes of that same thing, you'll win before the last turn.

The guide book that I have for this game says that you get the mascot dressphere after you get episode completes in every location except for Bevelle, page 38, paragraph 1! So how did you get it after you completed Bevelle and not Besaid?

Don't 100% trust all published guides. They don't update new information. I got it episode completed for everywhere. You'd rather trust a book rather than video proof? Fine, do whatever you want. Don't complain if the book lied.
