  • I wonder why 'real' is holding a bible.

  • good video shame over how many people are arguing over bible translations. I'm trying to get as many different versions as possible just so I have them.

  • @RatherBritishBird1 - I'm British and love the NIV and KJV, but yeah, so long as it isn't a dodgy translation (such as NWT) that warps God's beautiful word, then it's cool with me!

I find this hilarious because I know people like this. In the OT they were known as Pharisees. Now they're known simply as hypocrites. John 4 says God desires worshippers who worship in Spirit and in truth, not ribbon-collectors. :)

  • Shitty apple.

  • @mrhaney95- actually the Bible was written in chronological order. From Genesis to Revelation it's all in chronological order. Although on your computer it might be organized alphabetically, the Bible was written in chronological order. Judging by your comment, you probbably never actually read the Bible, although that's purely conjecture.

  • @snackman94 - Actually, no. The earliest book written was most likely Job. Mark was most likely written before Matthew. Many of the epistles, notably Romans and 1 Corinthians, were written before most of the gospels. I'm not sure where you're getting that the Bible was written chronologically (perhaps you're confusing this with the narratives being roughly in chronological order?), but there's significant evidence and scholarship to the contrary.

  • @snackman94 - The Bible is not 100% arranged in chronological order. Kindarilwraja is right when s/he says the earliest book is most likely Job, if not, then Deuteronomy or parts of Genesis. The History book narratives are largely in order (i.e. Kings, Chronicles (though they charter very similar events), Esther, Ruth... like any library it's arranged in sections:

    Genesis & Law

    History

    Poetry

    Major & Minor Prophets

    Gospels

    Letters

    Revelation

Hope that helps. And blessings to all. :)

  • Dude real has my bible. Respect

  • @imaginefree69 following God shouldn't have anything to do with the faults that the writers of the bible made, and also, about all your " look at the sequence" mumbo jumbo, the bible wasn't written in chronological order.

  • Atheist FTW!

Just wanted to throw that in there :)

  • Why would the Almighty need our worship ? What makes people think they know what God wants? What makes people think the Bible is "inspired by God"? Does anyone have any testable hypothesis for assuming the Bible is THE TRUTH?

Read your bible, then read Huckleberry Finn, Euclid's Elements and all manner of other books. Don't have your mind made up for you by some self-important charlatan.

  • So I'm going to ignore all of the other debating comments and just say that I really enjoyed this video. Are you devoted to "religion" and just trying to look better than everyone else and improve your "spiritual resume"? Or are you really real...desiring to really know God and follow him with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength?

  • the "new" bibles are B.S. they edit out all the good stuff like, how lot's (the only holy man in sodom) two daughters got him drunk and had sex with him, or like how the "angels" only looked into sodom but still ended gamora, thats just some of the stuff in genesis that is moraly deplorible. names king james bitch (as in rick james)

  • NICE

  • Oh, you guys here must be kidding me...

You are arguing over which version of "marvels heroes" is the real one?

Go pick the one you like best, they are all just as true or untrue as any other religious text. Stop fighting, because it makes you look really dumb and unpleasant to outsiders...

  • The Bible is a Catholic book.

  • Ok this is exactly what happened in the bible. Ok for all who dont get it. This is my interpretation. The Pharisees were all proud and thought themselves better than sinners because they always prayed and gave money from their fat wallets to the temples. The guy with the ribbons is the Pharisee. The other guy has nothing, and is humble and talks to God. This is like what Jesus teaches us to do, to be humble and not be led astray by pride

  • When I spend time with the Lord, we play Xbox and smoke fatties. He said he really hates all his groupies and that you guys entirely miss the point. That's why he never hangs out with you guys. Jesus this and Jesus that. Quit spending your time arguing over semantics. Go out and enjoy your life and be kind to others, the rest is just superstitious garbage.

  • Why is Real promoting reading the bible too?

  • @0Kasada because he's actually promoting reading the bible in the way you're supposed to, spending time with the Lord. Religion was just trying to get all of these ribbons and follow what "religion" expects you to do, be all prim and proper and perfect, when all we are is a normal human being like everyone else. It's just trying to show you it doesn't take all the religious junk to be a Christian like God called you to be.

  • @officials4lskateteam You completely missed the point and implication of that question...

  • HAHA

    The one with the ribbons reminds me of the other kids in my Sunday school class, they made fun of me because I was really bad at memorizing verses D;

  • i thought it was going to be another blasphemous parody on Christianity, but then it hit gold at the end. Its by His saving power : )

  • If i directed this instead of what was soposed to happen the guy in the hoody would go home to his wife and kill her

  • 19 People missed the like button.

  • @Altermax777 Because they don't want a Bible?

  • That's a good video..

  • ooooo burn!!!haha!

  • Nope you get no ribbon. in Fact you get nothing at all.

  • I like this video, makes a good point, but in a simple way.

  • I'm not a sir...sir

  • hehehehe

  • yay! my cult gives me ribbons!

  • WOW!!! i sooo agree that some people are all "Realigous" and don't even spend time with god, the one who created us and loves us.

  • Have you not seen Inherit The Wind? Man's ability to reason gave him science and science has made religion obsolete. Technology has no use for such moral superstitions. It is obsolete.

  • lol LOVE IT:)

  • @infk

being a christian means having a relationship

  • @ liveyourlifeforJC

isn't that what I said? LOL.

  • @lnfk lol. yes, I was agreeing. slash stating it in a different way :P

    i'm weird like that :)

    Jesus saves <3

  • Christianity is a religion. But sometimes we don't really see it that way. We see it as having a best friend (Jesus)

  • quick capsule review: piece uh shit

  • If "religion" sucks, then explain James 1:27.

I don't think the "Christianity is not a religion" platitude is helpful at all. "Religion" does NOT equal "self-righteousness/hypocrisy/fakeness."

  • @cbcurtis85 I agree with you. I hate the Christianity is not a religion argument. It makes Christians seem unintelligent. If one were to look of the world "religion" in the dictionary, they would be hard pressed to explain how Christianity is not a religion.

  • LMAOOO!

    Loved itt

  • also, anything witty is only witty once :P

  • the answer is never. like everyone else.

  • oh and ESV and NASB are the best!!

  • dude good stuff, religion sucks! Jesus Rocks!!

  • you still belong to a religion.

  • @ Imaginefree- and EVERY time I offer a suggestion, you simply say NU UH! come on now.

  • "6) Did he suck on a spongue? I suppose it says that, yes. Why do you ask? What contradiction is there?"

Because John says Jesus DID suck,

Mark 15:23 says he did NOT:

And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh:

    but he received it not.

    Contradiction.

  • What is interesting about these comments is that we are sitting here arguing over bible translations and that was the point of the video. Honestly I don't think God is going to ask us on judgment day what translation we used to interpret His word. He's going to check out hearts to see where we stand spiritually.

But when you are arguing over translations and the FACT that science (i.e. man) does not know how the earth was created then you have lost the point of having faith in God.

  • I've looked at around 3 dozen versions

and they were all as full of holes as a sponge.

    Errors, contradictions, impossibilities...

But they all showed YHWH to be a sadistic psychopath.

  • oh really name one

  • "name one" Genesis 1 and 2 give contrary sequences of creation. How many of each animal went into the ark (2 or 7)? Who prompted David to take a census, God or Satan? Who killed Goliath, David or Elhanan? Did Judas or priests purchase Potter's field? How did Judas die? Did Jesus suck on a sponge while crucified? What colour robe was out on Jesus? Purple or scarlet? Which of seven choices were Jesus' last words? Who visited the tomb Easter morning? Who was Jesus' paternal granpa? Heli or Jacob?
  • No, they don't 2 of unclean 7 of clean (for sacrifice) His own pride. David. Judas, with the money given to him by priests. He hung himself and his guts bleed out. Yes, Purple is a shade of Scarlet lol. ALL OF THEM. Its not too difficult to figure out read it. Helli immediat (JACOB THE SON OF ISAAC). Wow for you everything must me ether/or but never both/and. Are you willing to base your eternal destination off of this "evidence"?....Really? God help you.
  • "johnandraquell"

Tossing out a word or two does not exactly resonve the contradiction.

I realize that to you the answer is axiomatic,

so the actual resolution is unimportant,

but for those whose minds are not pre-determined

you'll need to do a lot better than this.

  • Let me question off the subject if died tonight what would happen to you? and Why?

  • So what do we do with that?

  • "So what do we do with that?"

    What are you referring to?

(See how useful my little introductory quotes are?

You can actually tell what I am responding to!)

  • *(Sorry my grammar was awful in that last comment),

Let me ask you a question off the subject, if you died tonight what would happen to whatever you call your conciseness? And why?

  • "if you died tonight what would happen to whatever you call your conciseness?"

    I don't know.

I have no more data to work with than you do.

  • Well a lot of data on that in the bible just like i have a lot of data on the theory of relativity by Einstein. I may not Completely comperehend all the schematics of it but I do think the source is credible and observable. How? We have a Hypothesis (claim) and evidence. There has been MD's who have written book on the subject of the afterlife after seeing many near deaths and people who have testified of what they saw. Or seeing people screaming on there death beds "i am in hell save me..."

  • "seeing people screaming on there death beds "i am in hell save me...""

    I was a pastor for 44 years, a paramedic for 16 years,

and a counsellor for 12 years.

I've dealt with many dying and dead folks,

and many family and friends of same.

    My experience is that christians

have much more fear of death and dying

    than do atheists.

Probably due to the indoctrination of guilt and shame

    and God's wrath and hell.

  • I was a pastor for 44 years,

Wow, What denomination? what changed your mind?

  • I've dealt with many dying and dead folks,

I also work in the medical field, I am a CNA and have seen many people die and dying but what you have expressed is contrary to my experience. I have seen people singing joyfully to Jesus and before they finish the song they die peacefully. I also have seen the unbeliever painstakingly suffer in such a hatred for all that when they go everyone is glad they are dead and it makes you sick. Have you ever read the book "Foxes book of martyrs"?

  • "Have you ever read the book "Foxes book of martyrs"?"

    Parts of it., years ago.

I found it to be obscene and pornographic.

Fit reading for YHWH worshipers, no doubt.

You and I have had contrary experiences.

I can only speak for my own experience.

  • "if you died tonight what would happen to whatever you call your conciseness? And why?"

I don't know, and neither do you.

Until someone comes back from the dead

with a youtube video of their experiences "on the other side"

we simply have no data to work with.

  • "name one [contradiction]" Genesis 1 and 2 give contrary sequences of creation. How many of each animal went into the ark (2 or 7)? Who prompted David to take a census, God or Satan? Did Judas or priests purchase Potter's field? How did Judas die? Did Jesus suck on a sponge while crucified? What colour robe was out on Jesus? Purple or scarlet? Which of seven choices were Jesus' last words? Who visited the tomb Easter morning? Who was Jesus' paternal granpa? Heli or Jacob? There's a start.
  • Nobody gives a shit, douche bag.

  • "Nobody gives a shit, douche bag."

Thank you for this courteous and informative response.

It will be interesting to see how your comments change

    after you start high school!

  • Nice come back there, caught me right in the gut.

  • 1)Gen 1&2 are not contradictory; It makes sense in Jewish literature to state something and then start by restating it; looking at it more closely. It is a liturature device in their story telling: Beginning, middle, beginning. quite common.

    2) 2 of some animals, 7 of others. that was easy.

    3) Satan prompted David, but God's sovereignly works through everything, as he remains in control of everything. again, easy.

  • "1)Gen 1&2 are not contradictory" BUT THEY ARE. Chapter 1 v11- grass, herbs, trees v20, 21- fish, fowls, marine animals v.25- land animals v27- Man and Woman created together Chapter 2 v.5- no plants yet v.7- Man created v8- garden planted, Man put in it v9- trees appear v19- every beast and fowl created v22- Eve created These are mutually exclusive sequences. Just look at where Woman was created in each account.
  • "2) 2 of some animals, 7 of others. that was easy." Too easy Verse 8 and 9: "Of clean beasts, AND OF BEASTS THAT ARE NOT CLEAN, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, THERE WENT IN TWO AND TWO unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah." 3) Wrong again. 1 Chronicles 21:1 And SATAN stood up against Israel, and provoked David 2 Samuel 24:1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and HE moved David against them to say
  • 4) The payment for what Judas did purchased the field... so the Pharisees did it litterally, but it was through Judas' actions that he "purchased" the field.

    5) Judas, hung himself, the branch broke, and he fell, hitting the rocks, headlong, and then his guts burst out. easy.

    6) Did he suck on a spongue? I suppose it says that, yes. Why do you ask? What contradiction is there?

  • "4) The payment for what Judas did purchased the field... so the Pharisees did it litterally, but it was through Judas' actions that he "purchased" the field. "

Ah. So once again the scriptures

"don't really mean what they say."

    Most convenient.

"5) Judas, hung himself, the branch broke, and he fell, hitting the rocks, headlong, and then his guts burst out. easy."

    Absurd.

And this is NOT what the words say.

    Again.

  • Do you even TRY to harmonize? or is it IMPOSSIBLE that harmonization can EVER occur between texts? you seem rather unreasonable.

  • "Do you even TRY to harmonize? "

It is not up to ME

to prove the claim of christians

    that the bible is inerrant.

Having graduated from a 4-year Bible College

I can tell you that a large part of theological training

    consists of learning to swallow

large and awkward incongruities without choking.

That is the point I am making.

I can give you hundreds more contradictions, if you like.

  • 7) Jesus' robes? during his death? could there not have been two robes? because that would be impossible for them to put one on him, insult him, and then put another one one.

    8) His last words were, "father into your hands I commit my spirit." For a chronology, check out carm. org/bible-difficulties/matthew-mark/crucifixion-chronology

  • 9) Everyone the account said visited the tomb visited the tomb. try putting the accounts TOGETHER.

    10) Jesus' genealogies is one side from the mom, one side from the dad. again, carm. org has more on that.

    ----------------------------

Imaginefree, contrary to what you may think after reading someone like Bart Ehrman, there ARE people who have known about many of the "problem verses" you and others point out. And yes, there ARE ways to harmonize the text of God's word. Hope that helps. :-)

  • "9) try putting the accounts TOGETHER."

In other words, the different accounts which list only certain people are wrong?

"10) Jesus' genealogies is one side from the mom, one side from the dad"

    Actually there are THREE genealogies;

    one for Mary,

one which says Joseph's father was Jacob,

and one which says Joseph's father was Heli.

    Contradiction.

  • More about Luke 2:33

The way it reads in the ESV wouldn't have helped me at all when I was a child, wondering how it was that Jesus the child of Mary and Joseph was able to do such great miracles.

Had I read it from King James, I would have seen immediately that Joseph was more like a step dad than His biological father.

Then I would have investigated further and found out the truth!

Your beloved ESV appears to me to be just as watered down as the NIV.

  • LOL you can't be serious. King James is corrupt too research the year 1611

    It's not that serious..

  • I am serious!

Yes I know the King James is not perfect either. But it is the most perfect translation you're ever likely to find.

And those examples were only what I could find in 5 minutes, but enough to show me the ESV is translated from the same corrupt MMS as the NIV.

  • I'm sorry. I highly doubt that. We're better off learning classical greek and reading the new testament and learning hebrew for the old testament lol.

Translations are different versions of the original manuscript. Just that..besides God allowed there to be many translations so many people could understand it. That's a blessing.

  • How sad! Pick your Bible TRANSLATION! It's called a translation for a reason. It's not a paraphrase. How sad is it to argue over which Bible is the best over youtube. I am pretty sure that Christ shines through every translation and I know ALL the arguments and I put them aside for the sake of Jesus Christ. Let us Glorify God not disgrace Him by feuding over a translation of His Holy Word

  • Umm that is what my point was. God shines through all translations

  • @fastermatt this is the truth that God does indeed shine through all the biblical translations....but I think the holy bible is the best and clearest, because it is a translation, but it is the simplest one. I'm not arguing with your statement at all, i'm just saying that the holy bible was the original translation, but if someone chooses the NKJV (New KING JAMES VERSION) or the NIV(NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION) or something else, then it doesn't matter to me...their choice, im saying that the holy

  • @fastermatt bible is just the most simple, as far as being the most complex, i'm not really sure, but as far as arguing bible translatons over youtube.com, they have their right to freedom of speech (set by the constitution of the U.S.) but if it is over religion, i agree, they are wasting their time. And also calling it a mac spoof....ummm there's nothing about macs in here and no apple signs, furthermore no computers, whether mac or pc, so i think, if they are gonnna call it a mac spoof,

  • @fastermatt maybe have them visit the site on a MAC laptop/desktop, or maybe pull out macs, something advertising the mac name, and no religion! too controversial, religion is an arguable thing, not a thing to be advertised when you are supposed to be advertising macs, it's not meant for spoofs, religion should be a live everywhere, and not advertised as if it were some thing a person can take and hold or something a person can buy, macs you can buy, religion is free, but you have to believe...

  • @fastermatt Or you could just learn the language it was originally written in, if you are really devoted to religion, that seems like a good solution.

  • @fastermatt Holy word? LOL

  • @fastermatt Then honour God by picking his word the King James Bible.

  • @fastermatt Retard! They arent arguing over which bible is better. Theyre just saying it doesnt matter which one you have as long as you read it and actually do godly things. Maybe you should watch it again!

  • Good video.

  • :) Thanks. It's funny but honest too

  • AMEN!!!! That's REAL! Spend some time with the Lord.

  • :) Yep I agree that is so real

  • I wouldn't be too proud of that false Bible version, the NIV.

It deletes around 64,000 words, so no wonder it is a bit thinned. But what are you missing?

Also gone are around 40 full verses... I just cannot put my faith in a hopeless version like that.

  • He said ESV.

how do u kno that stuff about the NIV though?

  • Oh dear, so he did say ESV. It looked so thin it had to be the NIV.

    Just google "NIV missing verses".

The King James version is still the best, because it's been translated from uncorrupted manuscripts.

  • The ESV is said to be the most accurate translations in the modern day by scholars. The only difference between King James and ESV is that ESV has modern English terms that were not used during King James day in the

    17th century or so.

There were many translators BEFORE King James.

  • Hello!

I just looked up two verses in ESV, both were wrong. Here's one from Luke 2:33

And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him.

Here it is as it should be from King James.

Luk 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

It is NOT the translators' job to take out words, important words like "Joseph" and decide to use "father" instead.

So from the examples I did check out, it is clear ESV is from corrupt MMS

  • ESV is a good translation

  • Yeah I know NIV is so watered down. It's like Bible on Phoenics LOL.

  • "would I get a ribbon for that?" That's sad, because it's exactly like American Churchianity.

  • Yeah that is sad.

  • Thumbs Up!

  • LOL! Amen! Very powerful message.

  • amen brotha. Do ribbons and recognitions matter? NO! The only one that matters is da eternal life we get in our salvation through jesus christ

  • This skit makes a great point. We focus on the outward and traditions instead of the relationship with God.

  • I really do not like this video. It's pretty judgemental. People can use whatever version of the Bible they like, it doesn't have to be KJV or ESV.

  • wat?

  • Let's stop defining religion in a negative way. I know it's popular to say it's about a relationship not a religion. Wrong - true religion involves a relationship and serving others. Even James wrote: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

Instead of saying it's not religion. Let's do what the Bible does and define true religion.

  • what are they gonna come up with next...idildo

  • real o religión

    ajjajaj muy buena

  • haha...yeah man. ^_^

  • Hydrogen and Helium are not the base of anything. Sure, they are the simplest ELEMENTS, but there are infinitesimally smaller particles out there. For me to explain this to you and how it does not violate the 2nd law, you need to have an understanding of quantum physics plus some other stuff which I don't really have time to explain to you so you should just do it yourself.

  • No matter how small the particles are, they still have to have a beginning.

  • @fastermatt

When you get some real evidence at the church, I might convert. For now the most logical answers I can come up with are with Science.

  • @Cloud541 Science supports creation.

  • But I guess it's easier to just say "God did it" because that doesn't really take any kind of thought process at all.

  • Cool, but where did the original matter come from. If a star exploded where did the star come from. If it was dust that accumulated and exploded where did the dust come from. If it was a black hole where did the black hole come from.

  • Here's where you say "God made it" and I say "Who made God?" It's called circular logic and it doesn't work.

  • no thought process? in some ways, you're right. what it takes is faith...but i must commend you because i honestly think it takes more faith to believe in the idea that everything out there just "happened" (yet somehow with a first cause)...and then eventually (and "somehow") evolved into the "higher" forms we have today...

  • part 2 - ...that is, i'm assuming that you also believe we are always evolving towards something higher and greater from something lesser and simpler? if so, how can something greater just "happen" from something lesser?

  • These included one collection approximately 150 million kilometers from the center: Earth. The solar wind of the newly formed T Tauri star cleared out most of the material in the disk that had not already condensed into larger bodies.

  • Ultimately, nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium began, and eventually, after contraction, a T Tauri star, ignited to create the Sun. Meanwhile, as gravity caused matter to condense around the previously perturbed objects outside of the new sun's gravity grasp, dust particles and the rest of the protoplanetary disk began separating into rings. Successively larger fragments collided with one another and became larger objects, ultimately destined to become protoplanets.

  • at least, those are the theories of today's science. wait a few decades and something new will replace it.

i remember when i was kid it was scientific "fact" that something called a "brontosaurus" once existed, also a "Piltdown Man", and other pre-historic creatures several of which have now been proven false by your own community of faith. i'm not trying to slam science, but just saying it is not always reliable in these matters.

remember when science said the earth was flat?

  • oh you mean hundreds of years ago before the age of enlightenment? I think that was about the same time that the church was busy burning heretics and witches. Science is a process people use to understand the natural world. Any and all work is subject to huge amounts of peer review, and the things that are found to be false are either fixed or tossed out. Let's see religion do that. You owe every modern convenience from clean water to your computer to those highly inaccurate sciences.

  • Most of the mass concentrated in the middle and began to heat up, but small perturbations due to collisions and the angular momentum of other large debris created the means by which protoplanets began to form. The infall of material, increase in rotational speed and the crush of gravity created an enormous amount of kinetic heat at the center. Its inability to transfer that energy away through any other process at a rate capable of relieving the build-up resulted in the disk's center heating up.

  • supernovas. Then, as one theory suggests, about 4.6 billion years ago a nearby star was destroyed in a supernova and the explosion sent a shock wave through the solar nebula, causing it to gain angular momentum. As the cloud began to accelerate its rotation, gravity and inertia flattened it into a protoplanetary disk oriented perpendicularly to its axis of rotation.

  • There is no God.

  • How was the earth made from nothing?

  • From Wikipedia:

The Earth formed as part of the birth of the Solar System: what eventually became the solar system initially existed as a large, rotating cloud of dust, rocks, and gas. It was composed of hydrogen and helium produced in the Big Bang, as well as heavier elements ejected by supernovas.

  • Where did the hydrogen and helium come from. You cant have order from disorder unless you have an intelligent designer.

It also would defy the second law of thermodynamics. Everything that is created is running down. It can't become greater than it's source and it cant be in order from chaos

  • Umm hello...

  • haha. so this is what your doing up in Alb. jk.. rad vid
