Another awesome demo! I had a MG-1 for many years, and it definitely has the Moog gene (it was made by Moog Music Inc. for Radio Shack in 1982).
I suspect, however, that you controlled it via a Midi-to-CV interface and a computer sequencer. Nobody can play staccato this precisely in real time on a keyboard. Either that, or you sampled it in another machine and played back those samples.
This is so well done. It shows this little cheap synthesizer from Radio Shack had a lot more Moog in it's heart and soul then most people realized. the compositions by Synthetic Machines are soem much fun and are so well done.
What a wonderful song, I keep returning to it time and again! It's happy, uplifting and haunting at the same time - beautiful! Especially the melody at 1:36 is brilliant. Thanks for the music, makes me smile every time!
I love 1:52 to about 2:06 where you can really hear there is a real Moog under that Realistic MG-1. 1:56 is heaven with the trademark Moog filter. Great track.
@jpwinnebago The guy is incredibly talented in the studio and a very good composer. The video parts are also great. All the tunes have great changes in them plus the sounds are always changing. He also is using nice effects which fatten the sounds up too. He is very good. I like every video he makes.
Brilliant! I really love the purist concept of 'all sounds made with the same synth'. This really is an immensely underrated synth (which I am happy to say has a permanent spot in my studio)
