I have a similar problem.

To remedy this problem click:

Start>Control Panel>Sound

Right Click on the default playback device (e.g. Speakers) and click properties. From there select the Advanced tab.

To eliminate this error the default playback format must be set at 24 bit 48000Hz (Studio Quality). Simply select this from the dropdown list and apply the settings.

Try launching the game now. Everything should run fine.

doesnt matter. works either way. that resoloution was actually made for XP but happily works on Vista as well.

yeah man i pass the fucking recommended spec (i dont lie!! i will give you the evidence if you dont trust me) when i play zombie i put all on extra and 1280x1024 resolution and it works fine!!!also when i start the game the intro is fucked and i need to alt+tab and in solo and campaign coop it works like shit!!

i have windows xp and my pc specs are a inteldualcore e8500 3.16 ghz and my grafical card is a nvidia 9600gt i have update my directx and drivers but nothing helps =\ is there a way to get rid of this?

my computer does the same thing instead of clicking yes to start in safe mode click no and it will start fine

had a problem like that...for anyone who has this problem and if ur running nvidia graph. try another forceware version..downgrade to 176.16 (i think)

why doesnt it let me go into certain servers like ayslum, roundhouse, and airfield only lets me in cliffside and the other ones i didnt name why my adapter is diamound radeon X1550 series and my chip type is ATI radeon graphics processor 0x7187 DAC typing is internal DAC (400Mhz) and i updated my graphics card can anyone tell me what i need to do? please respond

yeah i got it to work and everytime i am about to kill sumbody punkbuster kicks me but when people kill me i dont get kicked lol. but yeah anyways yeah my punkbuster kicks me what do i do and sumtimes my monitor turns off and i got to reset it help me!

try re-installing the game

if that dont Work then check taskmanager

then go to processes

if you see the game on there

put the priority up

if it still does not Work have a look online

if there is no other option

check online for updates as well

What I would do is to right-click on the Icon, click properties, go to the compatibility tab, check the "run this program in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2. Then check "run as administrator" box then it should work.
