  • I KNOW NOTHING THINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG LOLL

  • I like to loop the drums!

  • This show was great. Sad that Bob Crane got murdered.

What's with John Banner these days.

"Sgt 'Ed' Schultz" looks alot like him.

Actually Youtube has a video comparing both of them.

Shiela Jackson calls the name racist, which it is not.

She's a bitch in congress anyways

  • @capt777737 He died in 1974 i think,

  • This should be the opening for MSNBC's "The Ed Show" Rush Limbaugh calls him

    "Sgt. Schultz"

    LMFAO

  • Who else notices that there aren't any women in the opening sequence? Most shows have both male and female regulars, but Hogan's Heroes only had male stars, with a few recurring females. Not saying that's right or wrong, I just find it interesting.

  • @Shockwave474 kind of like gomer pyle & mc hale's navy.

  • @wallofvideo And the early seasons of Law & Order.

  • Three of the seven cast members were Jewish or of Jewish heritage: Robert Clary (LeBeau) as a teenage survived a Nazi concentration camp & had his ID number tattooed on his arm. John Banner (Schultz) had to flee Austria when the Nazis marched in and while German-born Werner Klemperer was a Catholic his paternal grandparents were Jewish forcing his father, famed conductor Otto, who had converted, to seek refuge in this country with his family in the late 1930s.

  • They don't make shows like this anymore because they can't. Damned PC Police anyway!

  • it was rumered bob crane had ties 2 the mob and was murdered by them

  • i luv schulz " i no nothzing! nothzing !!!!"

  • This show was a gas. No pun intended!

  • No one has ever escaped from Stalag 13,General Burkholter I assure you!! LOL,Priceless!!!

  • "No one ever escapes from Stalag 13!"

Col Klink's favorite saying, despite the fact they had a multi-tunnel system like a gopher maze with people coming and going, it was a fun show, but I'm always suprised director Billy Wilder never made a stink about Hogan's Heroes since they pretty blatantly borrowed the whole concept of this show (right down to Sgt Schultz as a character) from his 1953 WW2 P.O.W movie Stalag 17.

  • yes because making a comedy of a ww2 nazi war camp was a good idea....well it worked out this time....I KNO NOSHING!

  • Along with the opening of Hawaii Five-O, my candidate for best opening TV montage of all time.

  • "I know NOTHING" , "I seen NOTHING!"

  • Those Germans sure knew how to write marches.

  • I know nothing.

  • why doesnt tvand put thease shows back on.answer too much of this reality tv shit!

  • ahaha classic show

  • @paddyosee also klemperer served in the U.S. air force during WWII

  • @WestCoastRedneck93

As did John Banner. Werner KIemperer was the son of conductor Otto Klemperer.

  • G? well now it is certainly PG.

  • Talk about a series loaded with irony!

Klemperer and Banner were German Jews; both their familes came here to escape Nazi persecution.

Also, Robert Clary had been in a concentration camp and still carries his ID tattoo on his arm.

  • Bloody awesome show! and then there is also m.a.s.h ^^

  • Brilliant tune,,,, the gerries certainly had a cool drum roll,,, great TV series too.

  • schultz!!!!!!!!!

  • @19sell89 Hogannnnnnn!!!

  • Shultz: "Col. Hogan, I see nothing, I know nothing..."

Hogan: "Shultz, don't worry, we won't tell Col. KlinK.

    This was a great show!

  • this is the best show ever!!!!!!!!

  • schultz is the best!!

  • Type in Jordan Wind Ensemble 2010 and see the best performence of this song. It's Directed by Eric Olsen. Please watch it.

  • SHULTZYYYYY!!

  • Trivia: That's Bob Crane on the drums. He was an accomplished drummer besides being an actor.

  • @jhunter1163 are you certain about that? I remember reading somewhere it was studio drummer Hal Blaine who did this.

  • Comment removed

  • @jhunter1163 He was also a successful disc jockey and had his own show for awhile

  • Technically the title is "Heroes, Heroes"; the song also has lyrics (!) Ity's fun to play in a band as well. Tanks for posting this.

  • "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGAN!!!"

  • I always laugh at the bit where Le Beau emerges from under the dog kennel - with a dog in it! That's my favourite bit from the opening credits.

  • does anyone think richard dawson looked at the camera at 35 seconds?

  • there one thing that sux about this show and all other awesome shows is their cancellation. there should be a rule for when it comes to TV if the show is awesome don't yank it if they need room for other shows create second channels

theres one thing I wish they had when they had shows like this back in the day and that's TIVO

  • it's sad how bob crane died. strangled to death with a cable and someone blew a load on his chest

  • I'm proud the be a fellow countryman of John Banner :)

  • Awesome show....brought me back to my teens! Thanks for posting.

  • UGH! Sped-up tinny PAL....*ow*, my ears....

  • hogans heroes is a fantastic sitcom.

  • that show is awesome

  • i watch this show every day

  • Here is the original. Sieg Heil!

  • Great show! I loved this show growing up. I just loved all the scret tunnels that they had hidden all over camp, that was so f'ing cool to me. How the hell have they never made a movie about this show?

  • @Lfdjake91 ---If they made a movie out of it, the movie may just ruin it trying to modernize it for the 2010s.:(

  • @Wellch they did its called stalag 17 it came first then da show its funny

  • I love Hogan's Heroes!!!!!

  • whats the name of the theme song?

  • It's called Hogan's Heroes March. If you do a search here, you can find it with the words!

  • awesome, thanks a bunch for replying, i didnt even knew it had words to it

  • i lived across from a world war 2 P OW he was shot down over germany and spent 2 yrs as aP OW he told me the germans were that stupid

  • was that on long lane in gettysburg, pa ? Before theplace became a National Military Park under Eisenhower ?

  • 0:24, "I know nutting!"

  • lmao

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion Diddo! Lol! Shults is my fave.

  • It's hard for me to even look at Bob Crane anymore without thinking about his perverse fascination with 8mm film amateur stag porn. lol

  • I have loved this show since I first saw it on ME (I don't have cable), and I like the lyrics to the song too, very catchy.

  • This is my favorite theme song to anything! :D I have all the episodes on DVD! I was suprised to see Richard Dawson was in this when I first saw it.

  • R.I.P. Bob Crane & Werner Klempere.

  • Doesn't anyone find it odd that a Jewish actor played the commander of a German POW camp? It's true...Werner Klemperer (sp?) was Jewish. Hmmmm...what's next...Rush Limbaugh playing a amn with common sense?

  • The actors who played Bukhalter, Schultz, and Hochstetter were jewish too.

Not to mention all of them served in the US military for WWII.

  • so is Lebow... was in concentration camplll, not sure banner is jewish..

  • Banner was Jewish, Austrian Jewish, he managed to avoid the concentration camps by escaping to Switzerland or Sweden, can't remember.

  • Robert Clary was also Jewish and a camp survivor.

They haven't pulled these segments as before, running Hogan Heros' marathons on TV.. only means one thing The DVD's are coming out for sale...

  • I am a proud owner of all 6 seasons of Hogan's Heroes on DVD

  • Not that surprizing really considering how many actors are Jewish.

  • Yes, and Werner Kemplerer had a deal with the scriptwriters. He insisted that there were to be no episodes where Colonel Klink came out on top as his family had to leave Germany to escape the Nazis. One can see where he was coming from. There are a couple of Tom & Jerry cartoons which end with Tom getting the better of Jerry.

  • Or Barak Obama playing a guy who knows how to lead a country? GFY!

  • im in beginner band in 6th grade and we just played this song and it sounded awesome. didnt hear many mistakes, except for the clarinets--- they all sound bad, a few times they made those high squeaky sounds. lol

  • lol?

  • awesome show and theme song--very catchy tune

  • Yup, those Germans did write good marches.

  • even though im in high school..i love this show

  • me too, cant get enough of klink and shults

  • This show was, and still is the best out there :D

  • whosoever surely meaneth me surely meaneth me surely meaneth me whosoever surely meaneth me whosoever meaneth me

  • This show rocked. I used to watch reruns at Grandma's house. Sgt. Shultz is the best but hey - this pales in comparison to the movie that started "Hogan's Heroes" which is none other than "The Great Escape" with Steve McQueen. Rent it get it enjoy it.

  • i used to watch it at my grandparents as well......my grandfather(world war II vet) loved it....and M.A.S.H

  • lol my band is also playing this...its easy ^^ i am a 7th grade 1st chair

  • cool song 5/5!

  • You know how little kids don't appreciate old shows?? (old-ish) Well im in my early teens and i love this show so much!

  • im 13 and i love this show. i got some friends at school who also like old shows

it's real easy because my part of the song (i'm an alto saxaphone player) repeats a lot

  • haha best theme song ever my concert band plays this ; )

  • yeah.. i had to play this too in my concert...

    but it was quite hard...

  • hey have they stopped showing hogan's on tv land? I set it up to record on my dvr and one day it stopped recording.

  • No. It comes on at around 4 PM I believe. You mustve caught some kind of marathon for another show. Who knows?! Im just pissed because they moved Sanford and Son to 9 AM!!!

  • I still get here in Indianapolis at 3:30 pm weekdays and I also get it on UNIHD (Universal HD). They have an all day marathon of Hogan's Hereos on Mondays. I know I have seen every episode at least 12 times and I still love it.

Going to watch an episode when I fisish here. Thanks for posting.

    Indy

  • I love Hogan's heroes. I may have seen every episode over ten times and still can't get enough.

  • This show is awesome! I watch it alot.

  • I used to get so excited when this tune came on TV at 7.00pm. I would rush to the TV in the lounge and park my butt right infront of the screen every single night before bed time at 7.30 :)

  • This show was amazing. But the thing I found the greatest is that it made WW2 funny. Nothing like watching a E-1 PVT do Hitler impersonation!

"YA! RASBANYASYATCHIPINIPUTCHE! ATEEN-EA HARONJIE! SEIG HEIL! SEIG HEIL!"

This is what Moe of the stooges did. lok for a video entitled 'they stooge to conga'. I hadn't seen this one in years and nearly died laughing!

  • omg,we are playing this song in band!!!!haha

  • this show is sweet

  • i never noticed how similar the reccess theme song and the hogans heroes theme song sound!!

  • wow now that you said that i actually notice that too

    its true :)

  • i love that show and the theme song

  • I love this show they make the Germans look so stupid

  • My grandpa was in Nam and he said this show is very realistic just like back in beijing.

  • Dont forget Kellys Heros (no im not shiting you that is another ww2 show but not on commendy)

  • i love this show!!

  • Awesome show!

  • Great Show!

  • Heh, those German Shepherds.

  • I love this show! Brings me back to my childhood days.

  • Doesn't anyone have any comment on the information I provided below on line 5? Hmmn.

  • hahahaha lolol .

look at Bob Crane with that pompous asshole look. hilarious.

  • bob crane was hot. love that baby face...yummy!

  • THAT WAS COOL

  • There is a connection between "Hogan's Heroes" and "M*A*S*H" in terms of the pranks on those shows.

  • In fact, if you notice, both "Hogan's Heroes" and "M A S H" both are similar in a way. They are both military comedies filled with all sorts of gags/tricks.

  • I bet no one knew that one of the writers, Lawrence Marks, and one of the directors, Gene Reynolds, both got their start with "Hogan's Heroes" before moving on to "MASH".

  • I like the opening to Hogan's Heroes, I like it where they show the prisoners running out of the bunkhouses and all you can see is their running feet, I thought that was pretty cool, and the theme music is cool too.
