  • NICE HORSE!

  • @angelchick6103 I'll take her for ya if you don't want her.

  • @3Barrels2Hearts1Win

Haha. She is my little princess.... no really she is probably the MOST spoiled horse on the face of the planet lol. There is a lot of emotional history behind this mare and myself.

  • Is she better now?? like faster cuz ik with age her turns and stuff would get better and she might grow a lil so her stride might get a lil bet longer but with age wouldnt she also slow down a lil? Like a 30 year old mare could never run like a 3 year old... sooo is she better now? and if you start a horse at 16 on barrels but he's lazy and barrels arent really his thing could he ever run at least a run like tht? (thats a bit random and confusing ik)

  • @1233Maya

Well with time and proper training a horse with gain control and speed all in one. She was three in this video and a little strung out and not collected and for sure not at her top speeds, but that is to be expected out of such a young horse. Although she hasn't been ran at all in the last year, when we left off her speed was absolutely at the top and control and consistency as well. There is typically always room for improvement with barrel horses.

  • I think this horse is amazing! Running 15s and she's only 3? yeah, that's impressive. Don't take the crap from other people about horse development. It's not their horse anyways, idk why they have say anything if it's gonna be negative anyways. You did an awesome job.

  • @megrg23

Thank you. And I want everyone to keep in mind, all of these arenas that the videos are taken at are completely DIFFERENT patterns. She may have ran a 16 in one and a 19 in another. Indoor vs. outdoor is a big difference and that goes for anywhere anybody runs 99% of the time.

  • Thats a nice horse

  • @LifeLovinCowgirl Thanks!

  • some people are straight up assholes.....really.....very nice run.....you got a nice horse there ignore all the dumb asses on hear

  • @krissymiller89 thanks, i have learned to just not take it too hard when people decide to be rude!

  • nice job. she looks like she's coming along great in this video, and i know this is an older video, the only thing i would suggest doing is two handing just with a younger horse who is getting started. It teaches them to keep their balance, and if you have to fix something on the run it's easier. lol just some advice :)

  • ok this isnt you..I know this girl and the horse,,this is the adalusia arena and that is deff not you riding in this video..

  • @sweetashton255

actually this is me. you should look up all my other videos, this is in Caldwell, Idaho

  • awesome!!

  • that is a really nice horse. u have done some really great training with him/her. :) and for him/her only being 3!!! thats great :)

  • @ILOVESTARBUCKS13CGA thank you! she was such a wonderful little one to train on!

  • Hey i have a 2 year old and she's gotten very good at turing and every thing but I don't want to over turn her cause it's bad for there joints when there yonger.got any tips??

  • @barrelracer456

i would for sure still instill all the basics on your horse and not push her too fast too soon, personally two is a little too young to start adding a whole lot of speed, but there is nothing wrong with staying slow and making sure the basics are covered! i know it is boring to stay slow for a long time but in the long run it will pay off! good luck

  • Wow he looks GREAT to be 3! I know he ain't kicked in his turbos yet.

  • this horse i sgoing to really fast! :)

  • i started out riding english and jumping before i ever started barrel racing. the only thing you really have to work on is really sitting your whole weight down in the saddle but without leaning back too far. you just have to practice siting with your weight centered. :) let me know if you have any other questions. good luck!

  • I've been thinking about starting barrel racing sometime. The thing is, I rode English pretty much my whole life, and I'm confused as to how you gallop while sitting down? I've always galloped while standing in the saddle... =/ any suggestions?

  • Go for it! (: You can stand in between barrels, but you'll have to find a way to make it second nature to sit down in a turn.

  • it is alot easier then it sounds.:) and barrel racing is REALLY fun i fyou have a good horse... :)just give it a try i am sure you will like it! :)
