  • If I built a house with NO windows and used these video walls to replace them with a video camera on the outside of house...I would have a energy efficient home and have the ability of still seeing the outside..and maybe have the ability of watching any direction of the home by activating the different cameras ...Also have a motion senser that would turn it on when I entered the room...and maybe have the option of connecting it to tv and watch one or as many channels as I want? What do you think

  • Al gore ? Not a good selling point

  • idd it sux... what good can come out of this?

  • Don't listen to the ignorant! I build these kind of setups myself, and know how difficult this must have been. Wow.

  • omg youtube like 50 times on screen multi tasking or what, now u will have time to watch everything lol

  • Does anyone know the name of the song...

    it's chilled out as f*ck!!!

    Anyone know the name? Thanx.

  • Bastards! Just slowly letting the technology drip. It's new! Look! Wow! Watch your neighbour pay a ridiculous sum for it and wait for price to go down while he boasts. Now everyone has it, so you have to get one. And now what? It's new to you, no longer THE SHIT. Hold on to it for a year, if it lasts that long, and watch it either brake our become obsolete/useless.

    And start all over again.

It's ridiculous. Do we really need this shit??? Then again, most brains are out of date anyway so...

  • Well Said!!!!

  • i agree with you, your poor rating is probably because you offended a lot of people who are just like who you made fun of, which happens to be a lot of people

  • @schmidtbag:

So, I point out that their ingenuity is being taken advantage of by corporations, and it's me who they feel offended by? Either they're too naive to get my point, or they understood it and god mad at the wrong person...

Either way, they deserve to be offended!

  • Damn this thing must have like a TB of dedicated video memory!

  • this is so cool!!!

  • i just wish people were doing more with this ..

the WOW factor is getting old quick

  • Well, when we see subway SafeZone's, large park poles have large/small screens respectively where a victim being chased by an assailant can simply touch the panel - be fingerprint identified only if voice/scream recognition - determines their endanger, optimizes camera & location to send for help then it'll be practical. Or looking in the mirror after showering and you can tap quickly to place an order for breakfast lunch at the nearby restaurant then I'm in!

  • HP takes a cheap shot at Apple at 0:31

  • gay

  • multitouch is like the multicore theme...over advertised and hyped.

  • Real nice man. I have been building my own Multi touch system at niceminds dot com you should check it out.

  • jeff han kind of pioneered this technology cause he like invented the best multi touch screen

  • its a rip off of jeff hans multi touch screen

  • Touch screens, multi touch or not, is a pretty obvious thing to do. There's bound to be companies all over that are going to exploit this concept.

  • haha did you see those drums go flying near the end?

  • i thought apple patented multitouch with the iphone

  • Apple has patents but not for all multitouch devices. This uses a completely different technology than the iphone. Also, multitouch devices have been around since the 1980s, so apple was nowhere near the first.

  • ok.thx

  • Apple did not invent multitouch but many technologies included in the iPhone are patented.

  • They tried to patent the term 'multitouch'.

Which I thought was rather unnecessary!

  • you can do it your own

  • What are the advantages to this? Sure, it looks pretty, but wouldn't personal computers (many of which already incorporate touch screens) be more efficient? Multi-touch can serve its purposes, but giant wall computers which several people control seems a little pointless.

  • It could be very nice for multimedia displays, presentation rooms ... I am sure there are good applications for it. It is, however, more of just a proof of concept.

  • this is awsome technology territory, is there an abudance of software for these screens? and when do you think this will be more mainstream or am I late to the dance?

  • microsoft is the best

  • Very, very cool.

    Microsoft Surface?

  • Looks like our original work on projector-based augmented reality 'ShaderLamps' is getting out there after all ! (Search for ShaderLamps in search engines')

  • little bit. actually some of our other projects have a bit more in common with your shaderlamps. chk out something like our other videos. we do some mapping of surfaces and recreation of textures that are more similar to some or your earlier work, which is great, btw.

  • This is amazing. I want one for my office, no, I want one for my house. Does anyone else do ANYTHING close to this?

  • yea

theres the microsoft surface which looks much more advanced than this, but it costs $10,000
