You can find some footage of julian playing the guitar parts on 'I like the night' on this youtube link watch?v=6OqCWRzICN4 It starts at 1:02 And I read somewhere that Julian invented the guitar solos for the first three strokes albums. And as I recall he does not write music down, so don't say he never played them and just wrote them down

Definitely not the best guitar player but god what a great singer! Everybody always compared his singing style to lou reed, which is a fair comparison, but you know what the difference is? Julian isn't just coasting on his unusual vocal style. He can actually sing in key, and he has a fantastic range to boot!
