This was really helpful for me, even though I run gNewSense. If you could or if you have time, could you make a tutorial or response talking about how to make the phpmyadmin page have no login. For some reason, even though I haven't secured it, by default, there's a login page.
What lanquage version of Ubuntu you are using? As example, I use finnish so I need to type instead of Desktop Työpöytä. I know you've produbly solved that already but there you go
Is there another video that shows how to make your server public, so you can go to a domain/ip and see your server and the stuff you uploaded to htdocs?
i had been trying to install xampp 1.7.4 on my ubuntu 10.10 for hours before i saw this video...it was REALLY helpful! thank YOU

Cool tutorial. I use XAMPP on my local machine to test things out before I implement them on my production web server.
Thanks,

I followed your video through up till you started firefox and put in localhos, but it took me to a page that displayed this
It works!
This is the default web page for this server.
The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.
Any idea why?
